Deceptive and fake

I had the most horrible experience with this Indian based company. I fell for the prices and pretty marketing and ordered about 300 dollars worth of oils. I'm an experienced formulator and Holistic esthetician. I realized before the items shipped that this was a scam and emailed to cancel. Never received a reply and items were shipped from India, not New York as they want customers to believe before ordering. The products were so obviously fake when I received them. I opened a claim with PayPal and the company wanted me to pay return shipping to India, to an address not found by the discount international shipping site paypal support provided me. Ups was going to cost about 150 to ship back and that is their game in a nutshell. Beware!

I am glad I came here to read the reviews, since I was getting ready to place an order with them.
From their (very nice) site you get the impression that they have a location in the US.
However, after a little research, I discovered that they are not listed at that address as a tenant, and now I am convinced that they are using Regus (which is a virtual office firm, located on the 5th floor at that address) to receive and forward their messages/mail.
I appreciate (and feel sorry for) the people who lost money, and who are warning the rest of us here.
I am in Oregon, and I will continue to buy from Liberty Natural Products, which is local. Good luck.

AVOID - ANOTHER INDIAN SCAM!!!

No doubt those glowing reviews are as fake as the company's claims. They never answer the phone, never answer emails, never helpful on whatsapp. What kind of company can only speak through whatsapp!? its says USA but I have a feeling it's India. Their organic certificate looks photo shopped too! Take a look, its hilariously bad.

Goat's Milk and Insects are 𝑽𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒏? Who knew? /s

After reading the reviews here I'm no longer surprised that Nature in a Bottle has such a bad rep. I absolutely adore their Custom Blend app, but this company is simply too unethical to do business with because such profound untrustworthiness.

My issue with the company is that they 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙮 deceive customers into believing their classic Ayurvedic blend Kumkumadi oil is Vegan.
It is NOT VEGAN or the company wouldn't have removed the following sentence from their product page between Sept 26, 2020 and January 16, 2021 despite the duplicitous 100%Vegan logo.

The last sentence of the REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES paragraph on Sept 25th, 2020:

"Other than these common traditional ingredients, this exotic Ayurvedic oil also contains some unusual components like Lac and Goat's Milk."
Thanks to the WayBackMachine on archive dot org.
(Ayurvedic preparations are often boiled with milk because of the increased absorption of oil soluble components and (deeper penetration into the tissues")

Nature in a Bottle has the unmitigated gall to post a (fake) pdf certificate of 'authenticity' that Kumkumadi oil is vegan and yet the 3rd entry on the list of ingredients 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 lists Laksha (Lac)
Since Lac is as traditionally classic an Ayurvedic ingredient as Goat's Milk, no way they didn't know these ingredients are not vegan, they simply don't care.

PROCESS FLOWCHART
The coarse powder of all the following herbs are taken and soaked in water for a few hours:
Kesar, Keshara Crocus sativus
Lal Chandan(Red Sandalwood)Pterocarpus santalinus
Laksha Laccifer lacca

"Laksha (lac) is a resin secreted by the female lac insect (Laccifer lacca). It is used for bone fracture healing and in bleeding disorders."
from website: easy ayurveda

Selling fake essential oils is so bad, selling oils produced with and containing animal products whilst advertising them as 100% Vegan is a lot like deliberately feeding pork to devout Muslims and Jews and beef to devout followers of Hinduism, that's some next level disrespectful BS, and I'm not even a vegan...

The utter contempt Nature in a Bottle has for it's customers leaves me speechless...

Fake and misleading.

I ordered from NIB last year but wanted to post a review to warn other folks since this is simply a matter of safety. Bought hinoki and tsubaki oil in February 2023. I was quite surprised when I saw that the oils were being shipped from India, as I thought they were based in the U.S. I saw all of the negative reviews only after I had placed the order, so I waited to receive it to see what the oils would be like. The hinoki smelled way too strong. I tried a little bit of the tsubaki on my skin and had no reaction, but I was too afraid to use any more. I filed a claim through PayPal and was able to get refunded, then dumped the oils straight away.

I should have been more skeptical about the pricing (5 ml of good hinoki oil can cost around $30-$40 alone). They have a pretty extensive operation going, so it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of cheap essential oils. It's too good to be true. Avoid.

Listen to other reviewers

Listen to other reviewers. Stay away from this company. Poor quality products, unresponsive, and obviously misleading in their practices. Hopefully I get my money back. The EOs are garbage. I’m tempted to ask the local university to analyze them.

I ordered Laurel Berry Oil and what I received was not Laurel Berry Oil. I have purchased Laurel Berry Oil from another company in the past and I know what it should look like and smell like. This product did not look or smell like Laurel Berry oil and left a chemical taste in my mouth when I smelled it. It looked like from their website that it was coming from France but then it was posted from India. The first indicator was the price was too good to be true the second indicator was where it was posted from in relation to where they claimed it was located. BUYER BEWARE

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS COMPANY...SCAM!!

I was initially impressed with the professional site, the competitive pricing, the easily visible CoC and accreditation documents and the regular shipping updates however this is where the positive experience ends. The Kakadu Plum oil arrived and was clearly fake. I've had this oil before and this is not it. The scent is overwhelmingly synthetic. In my experience natural oils do not smell like Vimto. Tried to contact the company but, surprise surprise, no response. Anybody doing due diligence on this company hopefully you'll read this before parting with your hard earned money.....AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!

Snake Oil Salesmen

A few years ago, I ordered from this company on the recommendation of one of my natural perfumery students. Based on the price, I immediately knew their materials were fake. Fifty MLS of Boronia absolute for $30 USD? What a joke! Thirty MLS, an ounce, of Boronia, REAL Boronia, costs around $900 USD. First red flag. I ordered anyway because I knew this student had used this particular Boronia in their final course submission, and upon receiving the "Boronia", I knew that I was correct in that assumption. I tried for a week after to tell them that they were selling fakes, and then I left a negative review on their website, which was promptly removed. Don't believe a single positive review here, on their website, or anywhere else on the internet. They have dedicated employees scrubbing the internet of bad reviews where they can. Nothing on their site is natural. Just a few days ago, I received a package from a student who wanted me to smell their collection of NIB products, and not a single one of about 40 bottles was natural. In fact, it all smelled so solvent-like and oily that I had to put it outside. This seller in particular infuriates me as they've duped so many beginning natural perfumers in this business. The worst part is, that the fakes are bad fakes, no attempt has been made to make them smell even remotely like the natural material, and I suspect the fragrances they sell are intended for use with dipped stick incense. Steer clear of NIB.

WARNING, INDIAN SCAM

First lets give the devil his due. The delivery time was legendary. Considering that the shipment was sent from Delhi, and it took 3 working days to get the package. I thought it would ship from US since the website gave the impression that it is a US based company. I did not expect that short delivery time anyhow. The package itself looked nice, like the website. Although..

As most users have reviewed earlier the products are fake. I am pretty sure one of the bottles I ordered contained some kind of petroleum. I tried using it to "clean" the bottles, to my surprise all the text from the labels vanished with it. None of the bottles smelled like the stated essential oil should - I had real ones to compare with. No way in hell I would let anybody use that. Had to dispose of all of it.

What oils I ordered does not matter because they were all fake. After reading previous reviews I am not even going to bother requesting a refund. I am going to report the company to the European Commissions Anti-Fraud Office though. I suggest others do the same for their region.

Indians already have a bad reputation, and this company sure isn't making it any better. Still, I'm glad I didn't order any larger quantities. But I can say with 100% certainty I won't be having anything to do with India again.

These oils are synthetic and the company won’t respond

The fragrance oils I ordered are synthetic and smell very badly. The lavender smells like a fragranced generic cleaner. I have attempted to contact the company multiple time in multiple ways. When you call, they redirect you and eventually say “due to high volumes, please leave a message.” I called at 00:30 CST. The email link for returns simply sends you back to the homepage for the website. Please don’t buy from this company.

BUYER BEWARE! FAKE and SCAM. Not GC/MS tested essential oils!

Based on their website, they lead you to believe that they are selling GC/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) tested essential oils. I am a health care professional who has used essential oils extensively for 40 years, so definitely know what to expect from the different oils. Pure aromatherapy grade essential oils are very effective for their stated purpose and smell clean - not cloying.

Unfortunately, I made a rookie mistake and ordered some of the oils from Nature In a Bottle without seeing a copy of the batch GC/MS test results. I was duped by their claim that the test results were available “upon request“. I was very disappointed, and had to dispose of the oils as they were completely unusable. What a waste.

The Hawaiian sandalwood essential oil was most definitely a fragrance oil rather than an essential oil. The smell was horrendous, truly foul. I had to wash it off with soap and water immediately.

The rose Otto was ineffective for its aromatherapy purpose, something which does not happen when I use authentic essential oils.

The other oils were equally disappointing and unusable.

I encourage you to ALWAYS ask to see the GC/MS test results prior to buying any essential oils. When it became clear that these were not authentic, aromatherapy grade essential oils, I did request to see the test results four times in various different ways. They refused to answer any of my requests.

There is so much fraud with essential oils. It is so sad. It is hard for me to understand why vendors don’t just take the time to source quality materials, do the batch testing for every batch, post the batch results right on the webpage (which is what the truly reputable vendors do).

The only thing I can think is that most people must not bother to do their homework (like me in this case, can’t believe I trusted their claim) so these sellers of fragrance oils and inferior quality, fragrance grade essential oils must sell a lot anyway.

Well, I want to do my part today to hopefully educate people what to look for (GC/MS tested oils with the test results that you can see) when they are buying essential oils for therapeutic purposes. Inferior quality oils will not work for these therapeutic purposes. They are just a waste of money.

It’s not difficult to take a little bit of time and learn how to look at the test results. It is actually very interesting to learn about essential oils, how they work and their active components.

Wishing you good health🌸. Hoping I can help someone else today avoid a similar costly purchase/mistake.

SCAM COMPANY! STAY AWAY! TRUST 1-STAR REVIEWS

This company is yet another Indian scam, unfortunately. I read the reviews after placing my order and seeing it was being shipped from New Delhi, India and not the USA as I assumed.

When I contacted them they refused to cancel it, as expected, because they are a dishonest fraudulent company. After I told them I issued a dispute with the bank, they said they refunded me minus shipping costs. They probably said this so the bank would reject my claim since the merchant agreed to refund. It is not likely they would ever send my money back, so I am hoping that my bank will issue the refund.

I should have come to read these reviews first. I was suspicious when I didn't see a suite number for any of their offices and I should have heeded my gut. Turns out there are no suites because they don't actually have offices in the buildings they list in Manhattan, NY, USA or Lyon, France, EU.

They are a scam organization and I will refuse delivery of their fake oils. Trust the other reviews and if you haven't ordered from them, don't!!

Bogus Oils; Refuses Returns (Forget the Guarantee)

This is a "front" for a fake essential oil business. They publish hundreds of articles about authentic oils. They just don't ship any.

You can tell a lot about this business by the spread between their 1- and 5-star reviews. The two spikes -- 5 stars and 1-stars -- mean that these guys also know how to fabricate a reputation. But if they were honest, they wouldn't have a big stack of 1-star reviews. Those ratings all ring true. Just read them.

Or how about relying on Trust Pilot?
**********************************************************************************
"We’ve detected a number of fake reviews for this company and we’ve removed them."
**********************************************************************************

I tried to return my shipment because it was nothing but junk. I cited NIAB's website "unconditional satisfaction guarantee". All of a sudden they went deaf. So I tried to get PayPal to pressure them to accept a return, which eventually -- almost -- worked. NIAB slickly accepted a return as long as the order was shipped by me to them within two weeks. I did that the next day. But of course, that's where things got interesting.

In India, where NAIB is located, all incoming shipments go though customs. The recipient *must* fill out a few papers to get the shipment. NIAB did not fill out that paperwork. FedEx customs kept calling them and writing to them but they never responded. So the shipment was abandoned.

My tracking for the return indicated that it was "in transit" because of NIAB's refusals. But PayPal denied the claim, saying that "it had not been delivered in a timely fashion". Duh. So this is what is going to happen if you ever buy their useless oils and try to send them back. Good luck.

BEWARE OF GOOD REVIEWS

Please beware of good reviews. This company is a total scam. I purchased $200 in oil thinking I was buying from a reputable company in the U.S. but this company is in India. When I told them I would refuse the FedEx package so they can get it back and I can begin my refund process. They told me I needed to accept it or else FedEx would destroy the package. Anyway, I still didn't know how bad they were until I did just that & reached out again every single day since April 19th (day I received my package) . They no longer respond at all. I leave voice mails and emails daily. They don't care. Once you have the package your stuck with it, regardless of the 90 day return policy (scam & lies) then I saw in the BBB that others had similar issues or fake oils or they're information was stolen and used after dealing with them. Be warned or you'll be losing your money and maybe your identity.

I believe this is a fake company

this is a fake company, I wish I had read the reviews before ordering almost $1000 in oils that I have tried to cancel but get no response..the addresses on the web page are fake the address in India says (temporarily closed) no one answers the phone…they have stoped answering my emails since I asked to cancel the order ..I have contacted my credit card company to file a dispute, although I have kept all the emails and my requests for the order to be cancelled I am doubtful that I will see my money back..it’s a shame because that’s a lot of money to lose..I cannot understand why they are getting away with this outrageous scam, taking hard earned money from honest consumers.. I would have never ordered from them had I know they were being shipped from India it has a New York address on the web page..so it’s nothing but lies, they are a scam and frauds…
