When I met my new instructor Barry he…

When I met my new instructor Barry he made me comfortable and confident I could pass! I took 5 tests before I took a course with him and passed on my 6th test! This course was fantastic and well worth it. Just make sure to pass your theory test before booking to avoid delays, I did that and did my course in 2 months!

Intensive courses work because they:

Help identify and correct weaknesses quickly

You also made a great point about passing the theory test first — that preparation helps everything run smoothly and avoids delays but there aren't usually delays for theory tests when booked through ourselves.

Waste of time and Money

At first viewing, the idea of how national intensive work is great, and after searching through various packages and dates available, I decided to book a course in September 2025.

The date given for my practical driving test was 12th December, so my dream, and aim was to have my test passed and be driving before Christmas.
I needed a theory test booking, and they were fantastic with this, I received a date within only a couple of days, and that was 3 weeks later, plenty of revision time and I passed easily. So far, so good(in fact, very happy)

Then it went downhill.

A couple of days later I received my practical test date. 16th April 2026.
This made me worry, but I then received an email saying I was now on a cancellation checklist, and I would still recieve my pre Christmas test. I then got a cancelation booking which brought my test forwards. 12th April 2026.

I left this for 2 weeks before I called them and asked for an update. They told me there Is no update and that is the best they can do for my test. I complained about this and less than an hour later I received a new test date for 6th March 2026.

I had a driving instructor assigned to my course and was told he would contact me to arrange the lessons paid for as part of my package, no calls came and around a week ago, I had to contact him.
He knew nothing about my booking, knew nothing about me until he spoke to national intensive, before telling me he doesn't have diary space to fulfill my lessons, and he would find another instructor in his company to help me out. Now, radio silence

It is now 1st March 2026.
My test is in 5 days, I've had no lessons, I have no instructor assigned to me for my test, and I've had absolutely no contact from national intensive.

I would strongly avoid booking courses for your test, tests are easy to book, and the online cancellation checker can get you an earlier test if you login everyday to check availability.

National intensive are just a middle man who Make Money by doing very little and overinflate the prices. Save your money and do it yourself

We are pleased that you were happy with how quickly your theory test was arranged and that you passed successfully.

However, we need to clarify an important point regarding practical test dates. The initial date shown at the time of booking is not a guaranteed test date. It is an estimated completion timeframe based on test availability and cancellations being received at that time. As clearly stated in our Terms & Conditions, practical test dates cannot be guaranteed due to DVSA availability and the national backlog.

Once your booking was processed, the DVSA allocated test date was April 2026. As promised, you were immediately placed on our cancellation monitoring system to search for earlier appointments. Earlier dates were subsequently secured and offered to you, which demonstrates that this process was actively underway. Where an earlier date is still not suitable or further improvements are possible, we continue searching in line with availability once notified by the student or Instructor. Regarding instructor allocation, instructors are assigned based on location and availability once test dates are confirmed. If availability changes, we work to reallocate accordingly. We do not leave pupils without support, and if there has been a breakdown in communication, that is something we would want to review urgently.

We strongly refute the suggestion that we “do very little.” Securing theory tests quickly, monitoring cancellations daily, and managing instructor allocation nationally requires continuous administrative work behind the scenes. While learners can check the DVSA system themselves, many choose our service to avoid the time, stress and uncertainty involved.
Your test has been brought forward again to March as you have stated and there is an Instructor in place since October?

Azeem


When I had my first lesson with Azeem I explained that I had no previous experiences driving at all and that I was a little nervous about the whole thing

Luckily he completely understood and we moved at a pace that was comfortable for me ,but also pushed me to gain more confidence as I progressed through the weeks

Azeem is an extremely experienced driver and teacher who would be the perfect fit for someone who’s keen and committed to passing their driving test. He is very kind and funny and would speak to me about my social interests to keep me calm and motivated

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn and improve there driving ability’s and gain confidence driving on the road

I passed!

My experience has been great with national intensive. Although the company have struggled with booking tests due to the covid backlog, their costumer service has been great. James, has really helped me. With quick responses, organisation and general service has been very helpful.

No Hassle, No Time Wasted

The service took care of all the admin and worries for me with regards to getting a test date within a challenging timeframe. I'd been learning for a long time, but hadn't been able to get over the line. The instructor they chose for me was patient with me, honest about my abilities and encouraging. He taught me new ways of doing things that worked better for me. After 5 years of lessons and 2 fails, I was feeling very dejected and nervous, but with just 2 days of lessons with these folks, I passed at last. Very worth it.
