I can truly say that we had an amazing shopping experience today at the Hastings branch. Ethan was truly awesome! He was our main point of contact but We were also assisted by Richard and Sophie.
Ethan asked about what we had planned (Norway in January) and then gave advice that totally made sense.
At no point did we feel rushed or upsold.
This team are why we decided to get everything we needed from the retail outlet and the one item not available there was ordered from the Millets website.
I hope the team see this review so they get the recognition they deserve as true assets to Millets.

I visited the Hastings shop with my husband who was served by Harry. We needed advice on the walking shoes and Harry was helpful, informative and friendly, finding my husband the perfect shoe for his requirements. Thanks Harry.

Went to buy walking boots for my mother. We were served by Phil who couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable in advising us which boots would be the best choice for her.

Harry and Phil were extremely helpful with my walking boot purchase.
Phil’s knowledge and guidance is exceptional. He pointed me in the direction of the walking boot that was exactly right for my size and shape of foot and for the type of walking I will be doing. I’m glad he was there as my original choice was inappropriate and would have let to discomfort.

Phil’s knowledge was first class and he understood my correct sizing and style of walking boot. The recommendation to try the boot at home for an hour worked as I needed to go back due to my foot expanding at home. Merrels are a great brand for wide feet, great old school service that went a long way.

Went into millets with my elderly mother for her to buy Christmas presents, we was served by Phil who was so pleasant and helpful.

Always receive a friendly greeting when we enter. The staff are always polite, helpful and have knowledge of the products they sell. The shop floor is tidy and clean.

Ethan was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful - he explained the different types of materials for outdoor jackets so I could make the best choice for me.

I went into Millets in Hastings for a new pair of walking boots. I bought my last pair there, as well as walking jackets.
I was greeted by smiling Harry, who checked my shoe size - a new experience for me!
He then asked me to try the original size pair of boots I'd selected followed by the ones he suggested, a size larger.
Harry was quite right, better to have room for thicker socks and allow for foot expansion whilst walking, the size I'd selected would have been too small and would have got tight over my toes.
I left the shop smiling, the proud owner of a pair of new walking boots and a feeling of confidence that I had the right pair.

Very helpful staff, Phil and his colleague helped me to find everything I needed. Could not recommend the customer service more.

I was pleasantly surprised to find quality expertise in what one might otherwise just dismiss as an average seatown shop. I am in my 70s and have wide feet and often struggle to find walking shoes to fit. Phil measured my feet and explained how they can grow with age - I am now a size 7, when I thought I was a size 6, as I was in my 50s. I am delighted with my purchase, a pair of Merrells Speed Strike 2. Phil also showed me a way of lacing them so they don't press on a nerve at the top of the foot.
