The staff always take time with customers and are knowledgeable about products. They don't encourage you to purchase, just to make a sale. They're more interested in your comfort and satisfaction.

Friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain things clearly. Very happy with the service I received.

Me and my children came into the store looking for a rain coat for my Autistic son who has sensory issues with clothing and two staff members Lewis and Phil were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond helping us with finding the perfect coat for him, going at his pace and listening to what he does and doesn’t like with the feel of coat! They didn’t rush us and spent their time and made him and me feel so comfortable!
We had been to several different stores before this and we never received this care.
From one stressed out mum thank you so much for your support, it really made a massive difference. I highly suggest visiting this store!

Ethan was knowledgeable and helpful when I asked to try on some walking boots. He asked about the type of terrain i would need them for and how often I would wear them before explaining the main features, pros and cons of each brand and style and how that affected price and fit.
Ethan made sure I had the correct information and I never felt rushed, or pressed to make a quick decision.

Phil was so helpful and understood the issues I was having with my feet and gave me lots of useful tips. He measured my feet and took the time to adjust the straps on the walking sandals so that they were a perfect fit. I am very happy with my Merrel shoes and will definitely be returning to Millets when I need walking or camping gear. All the staff are friendly and they have a great range of clothes and gear. Thank you.

The helpfulness and attentiveness of the young staff member who assisted me in finding the right pair of walking shoes was excellent. He was very skilled at asking the right questions to narrow down the style options and to make sure they fitted me properly. It’s been a very very long time since I have experienced such excellent service he is a credit to the company.

Ethan was very patient and informative about the walking shoes. I purchased a pair of Merrell shoes and Ethan was knowledgeable about the different brands and how they differ and what would be best for me.

I popped into Hastings Millets hoping to buy a light rain coat for my holiday to Northumberland. I wasn't disappointed. Ruby, very kindly, showed me to the various rain coats and showed the difference between them. I bought a light green coat, very suitable for summer showers. Thank you

I wanted a soft waterproof “pouch” for my glasses when I am at the swimming pool. I went to Millets in Hastings because I was confident that I could get what I needed there. I did! Great fair priced item plus good (and not “in your face”) service.

We always go to Millets in Hastings for walking shoes and other walking gear. Phil was amazing, actually measuring my husband’s feet-pointing out the discrepancy btwn the 2 feet, observing him walking in the shoes and explaining why a particular shape would help his balance. My husband has PCA, a rare visual dementia which impacts strongly on his balance. He was kind, respectful and 100% professional. Brilliant. Thank you Phil. Eastbourne’s loss. Our gain.

Having been repeatedly messed around by another company; I really appreciated walking into the Hastings store where I was supported by Phil - who was knowledgeable and quickly and efficiently helped me purchase an ideal Paddle board from a range of choices.

Phil absolutely smashed it finding me a pair of shoes that fit. Took loads of Car measuring my feet. Understood the differences between the two measurements on each foot and explain it carefully. I now have a great pair of shoes to walk through the woods in and my feet are actually comfortable. Thanks very much, Phil.

Was so looked after by Phi on 7th August in the Hastings Branch. He was so patient, knowledgeable and helpful so that I could make the right decision for me - after all it’s not every day you buy a pair of walking boots!

This shop is a great local resource and the staff are really knowledgable and helpful. They stock Berghaus tents and Lucy helped me weigh up pros and cons of this tent compared with others and gave me an incentive to spend my money right there and then. She recommended helpful extras poles for putting up the awning and advised me on a neat little camp table. I Also purchased a lamp which was very reasonably priced at £5. I tried the lamp and decided to return this and get something of better quality and Phil had lots of helpful info and I’ve now got something by Vango with a nice diffuse light that I can’t wait to use. The tent is excellent for the price. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys.

I popped into look at the Nordic walking poles. Was greeted by Phil. His knowledge on each range and his personal experience is why we must not lose our local shops. I bought them because of his help. We found the right ones for my needs and he even showed me how they all worked separately. An asset to the store for sure. Thanks Phil!

Visited store to buy walking boots for planned trek to Everest Base Camp in a few weeks. I had an idea what we wanted and both Lucy and Phil took a lots of time to each check the fit and advise on different options and suitable sock choices. Very impressed with the time and advice received.

It was great being served by Phil. He took time explaining different models of shoes to me. Nice to have someone dedicated to their job.
