Embarrassing company
Embarrassing company, the worst wifi I have ever had wifi off. Rude.
Read all the reviews others have put
Read all the reviews others have put. Pretty much hit the nail on the head. Goes down once a week, you ring them and they chin you of and say they’ll ring you back and never do. Absolutely howling that we’ve got to pay the price we do for this.
Absolute dog toffee
BAD WIFI
I would not recommend this WIFI. I have been in contact with media force for 8 weeks now regarding how bad the WIFI is and they still have not fixed my issue. I have spent a lot of money on this WIFI just for it not to work. Don't waste your money guys.
Bad internet
Bad internet, bad service bad customer service just bad
Atrocious Internet and customer services
This company is a joke ,the Internet speed is so poor and when you call up they they don't to anything to rectify the problem.
They capitalise on the fact that soldiers have limited options for WiFi so when there is an issue they have no obligation to fix it as soldiers have no alternative option.
I have also called up numerous times to try and get money back from them as I was paying for a service they was not providing for me, I couldn't connect any devices to the WiFi without it keep disconnected, everytime I have called customer services they took my details to put me through to somebody on numerous occasions but I never had a call from them, so they will basically chin you off.
I would give a zero star review if possible the company is a complete scam! Avoid this company
Truly awful service
Truly awful service. How this company ever won the contract to provide wifi is truly a mystery. Don't even bother, just get a big data SIM and hotspot away, it'll be faster and cheaper.
Generally poor service
Generally poor service, regularly have problems with systems as I travel a lot to various military bases I've lost count of the times I've been promised a call back that I never received
+442080901290 = Wifinity Customer Service. Try this number over the MediaForce Narnia department
I've genuinely seen more impressive things in the toilet than Mediaforce - 3x locations in 3 years and all of them have either had maximum speeds of 1-2mbps or a complete service outage. This is to the point I've actually gone full Karen and made a Trust pilot account purely to review them.
Their customer service is useless - was told today that I was speaking to an outsourced customer service company who have no way of getting in direct contact with anyone at MediaForce other than filling out a form they send off to them. This form then gets lost in an ether where you might luck out and win the MediaForce lottery, getting a reply a week later seemingly from a child who's removed the crayon from their nose long enough to mash the keyboard a few times. Don't worry though, you'll soon enough not hear anything back, along with the 5 return calls you're promised from the receptionist who has no tech expertise.
Tried Wifinity instead and had some luck, though I also found out that despite myself and multiple others across the base being in communication with them for the past 4 weeks (and them knowing about a site wide outage) no issues have been flagged to the tech team. Additionally, there was noone the guy could escalate the issue to, as his phone supposedly lacked the ability to transfer calls. Wifinity/Mediaforce staff would also seem to be anchored to their desks, unable to move around the office, as they all lack the ability to manoeuvre to someone else's desk and pick up a phone.
The official complaints process has begun and can take up to 10 days for a response, probably because they're using their own internet.
The bottom line - USE +442080901290 TO CONTACT WIFINITY WITH YOUR MEDIAFORCE ISSUES. They might struggle to help but they've done more in 24hrs than the elusive MediaForce team have in 4 weeks (not that that is saying much).
For a company that have signed the Armed Forces charter promising fair treatment for service personnel and their families, the state of these reviews sum it up, especially considering I pay much less for my Virgin home internet which gives me 150x the speed and 100x the reliability I currently have. I'd encourage people to contact the Ombudsman, push for compensation, and push the issue up their respective command chains so hopefully MediaForce lose the contract. It's also worth looking up their CEO and Directors on LinkedIn and messaging them with your experiences.
Finally, in a fantastic bit of irony, this review failed to post initially due to the WiFi reliability - it's being completed on the different provider (free) accom WiFi.
Awful service
Awful service, poor Internet speeds, unreliable Internet. Sometimes can go days without Internet without any explanation or refund. What's the worse is anybody in the military who lives on barracks is forced into using mediafarce, you have no choice. They do offer you a wireless router that they sell, but that is like £50, for something that other providers give for free. I pay just over £50 a month for 80mb broadband only, whereas I pay for my mums virgin media, Internet, TV and phone, £30 a month for 250mb speed and a router that's free. God help you if your payment doesn't come out, for some reason mine didn't come out and a day later my account was restricted. If I was refunded for all the times when I'm unable to use their pathetic Internet id be about 6 months in credit.
IF I COULD RATE BELOW -100 I WOULD
Where should I start .. I've been away for 6month so I cancelled my regular payments £24 a month as soon as I got back I contacted media force to set me up on my old package which they did but the problem was the amateur on the other line set it up as an unrecurring package when I deliberately told him if he could set me up to the old package I had previously which was £24 monthly. I found out about this amateurs mistake after a month when my Internet cut off.
Also on top of that my optify box wasn't connecting I called them up telling them my issue they said they will take my details and get someone to ring me back 5 days passed I called again once again explaining my problem this time I spoke to someone who had abit more sense then the rest of the amateurs, we went through several solutions which never worked so he told me he will issue a technician team to sort out my problem 15days later I haven't heard from them so I called back once again explaining my problem I also had a reference number and yep you guessed they asked to take my details so it could be passed on. Its now been a month I haven't heard from anyone.
Now when my Internet cut off I called wondering why it was cut off because I had a direct debit with them once again I could speak to anyone reasonably because all they do is pretend to take your details and say they will pass it on but they never actually do I had to call 5 times within that day in hope of finally getting through to someone that could help. Also dont bother trying to chat to someone online they are even worse. You'll have to log in write down all your details once you've logged in then when you finally chat to an amateur advisor they will ask for the same details you used to log in to chat to them just to tell you to ring up the help line because they can't help you.
Avoid by all means
The MOD are just as bad for allowing this useless company to be its main Internet provider.
Worst internet ever
Worst internet ever! The customer service have no idea what they are doing. Just told someone will call you back.... no call. Terrible service. Lucky if the connection lasts a month. Do not waste a penny on this!
Worst internet I’ve ever used
Worst internet I’ve ever used, thought I’d pay for the more expensive bundle to make sure I get better Wi-Fi but it’s been terrible. Can’t even get a game of fifa out of it, how company’s can get away with charging people for internet that doesn’t even work is a joke.
AVOID DO NOT USE
Internet service Constantly going down, I can only guess they must do this on purpose to get as much money out the M.O.D as possible, but when it’s on its not a bad connection. But it spends most of its time broken rather than working. Absolute joke really over priced for what it is.
I have no idea why the M.O.D finds this acceptable. Just shocking. PLEASE AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
💩💩💩💩💩💩
Worse providers in the country
Wifi is constantly on and off on a weekly basis, absolutely crap.
Terrible
Putting the terrible customer service and high prices to one side, you simply don’t get what you pay for. The unreliability and below-stated bandwidth is borderline criminal. The fact that MOD establishments tolerate this is linked to poor leadership and a failure to care for the individual.
Don’t deal with this company if you have any choice.
Worst internet service provider that I’ve dealt with, For £24 for the month I expected a months worth but alas I got about 2 weeks of intermittent slow service. Then it dropped completely to unusable in my room, sent numerous emails to their 24 hour help desk got a reply 3 days later. Finally got through to their support line. They blamed my devices and settings initially after 45 mins they agreed it was a technical issue and their tech team would desk within 24 hours. 5 days later it’s worse and the realisation is it won’t improve. As they simply want your money and actually don’t care what service they provide. Any organisation allowing them as the sole provider should look at the amount of negative reviews and realise the complete undermining of morale that this causes.
Awful
The internet coverage is terrible and always cutting out. The customer services are terrible and massively overpriced for their service. Do not use them!!!!
