POOR SERVICE
Gave me a 4 hour window for an urgent item that was on 1 day delivery and never turned up. I called 25 mins after they were supposed to deliver to be told it never got put on the van! At what point were they aware of this information I wonder. Left me sat in for over 4 hours with no communication. Now delivering tomorrow with another 4 hour window. NOT GOOD ENOUGH
My delivery was late with rude service
My delivery was late, causing unnecessary inconvenience, and the delivery drivers were unprofessional and rude during the interaction. This level of service is unacceptable, especially for a company providing essential medical equipment. Customers should be treated with respect and be able to rely on timely and professional deliveries.
Very poor service
Unfortunately, there is no facility for giving no stars, which is probably what the 80% of people who marked one star would have preferred. This is the second time that I had arranged for a visit to fit a bath rail. On both occasions I took time off NHS work, where I deal with vulnerable people and on both occasions was sent a text on the day to say that the named driver was en route and arriving in minutes. When they had not, four hours later on the first occasion and two hours later on the second, I called and was told that it was cancelled that day. They made no attempt to communicate this until I called and appear to have no respect for clients’ needs and I have asked them not to bother.
Very good service
Mit delivered on time in Shaftesbury, and was thoroughly professional, cheerful and very respectful of the elderly people in the house. He was also vey patient and careful in explaining the instructions for use of the hospital bed, etc. Not in an undue hurry. We were very impressed and grateful for his thoroughness and care.
What an absolute joke of a company
What an absolute joke of a company! 2 x failed collections of my deceased mother in laws medical bed etc. Numerous excuses given for failed collections. Equipment will be on front garden and not our responsibility if it goes missing. Have emailed a lengthy complaint and am awaiting their response
Absolutely dire company
Absolutely dire company. Customer service could scarcely be worse. I've made appointments several times for equipment to be delivered and checked a day or two before the delivery date only to be told that there's no appointments made! The staff are extremely uninformed and unhelpful. I wish it was possible to deal with someone else. A truly dreadful customer service!
What an absolute joke of a company
Waited since 9am for a 9 am delivery ,lied to at midday saying we were the next drop
Its now 3.30 and told the driver as gone home
No calls to advise had to chase them .you need a serous look at your business model and valves

I had an extremely bad experience with MEDEQUIP. Their service was unprofessional, unreliable, and far below acceptable standards. Communication was poor, issues were not resolved, and I was left frustrated and disappointed. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Absolutely awful at doing their job. They can’t give you a time slot until the day of delivery, which is meant to be a two hour window, they give the whole day, so it’s difficult to arrange anyone to accept not knowing the time, Firstly delivered a bed for a patient at home for palative care which had the wrong guard rails, so couldn’t install, which meant the patient fell out of the bed. Then arranging a time to pick the bed up same thing can’t give you a time slot or give you one that is 24 hour time slot. Sit on the phone for hours trying to speak to someone. Totally useless company
Logistics manager - bully compulsive liar
I have recently been left with no alternative but to leave my role within medequip. Logistics manager is a misogynist, a bully, a homophobic and most of all a compulsive liar. Senior management are weak and the grievance process is a disgrace, there is no duty of care to staff. North Yorkshire depot
Truly a terrible, terrible company.
The first time they came to fit a handrail they turned up with just 1 metre to do the whole staircase. The second time they came (meaning we had to wait in 2 full days) with the right length but could only be bothered to put one small screw in per fitting which seems very insecure as the fittings have holes for 3 large screws predrilled. I did send them a complaint email but they never bothered getting back to me. Truly a terrible, terrible company. I don't know why the NHS uses these clowns.
Complaint regarding Mediquip…
I contact Mediquip at 8.30am it is now 5pm and they have still not arrived. My mom has been bedbound for three years so it has not been easy to get her out of bed, she is now, and has been for the past 3 hours, on a fold up bed with an airbed on top as her mattress is punctured. If and when the technician arrives it will take a while for the replacement mattress to inflate so she will have to remain uncomfortable on the airbed for quite a while longer. I have rang them twice and informed them of this they said it was marked as urgent. It should not take all day if this is the case.
Update:
The technician arrived around 6pm with no replacement mattress so we have to go through this all over again. I have no idea when this will be he could not say. Poor customer service.
This company has no empathy
This company has no empathy. A week after losing my mum, I receive a telephone call to collect the equipment.

Serious incompetence
They called to book planned maintenance of a piece of equipment. On the day, they texted a 4 hour window when a technician would arrive. No show. I call. Twice. They bluster. They send me a text saying the guy was en route. No show. So a whole day wasted. Liars and incompetents. Avoid if possible.
HORRIBLE DISHONEST COMPANY
What a horrible company -hope i never have to deal with them again.
Don't want to go into details because it is too hurtful - but you will understand the reason once you deal with them yourself.
Basically they are insensitive and what they tell you cannot be trusted.
Absolute shower of incompetence
Absolute shower of incompetence. I see my family have suffered the same lack of empathy extended to other grieving families. After the loss of my dad, they had arranged to pick up the hospital bed and other equipment between 10am and 2pm. No one turned up. The presence of the empty bed is very distressing to my mum who has Alzheimers. I called to find out what was happening to be told someone had called 15 minute prior and got no answer. There were 4 of us waiting in my mums flat all day, the front intercom button has a very loud buzzer, it never went off its in full working order. I was told they had a photo of the front door to prove they had been, at this point I felt accused of lying! I had been in a room over looking the road outside and no van arrived or person came to the door. Nor did I receive a call which should have happened had they not been able to get a response. Then told he couldn't turn around and come back and had phone hung up on me. Now have to ho through waiting process a second time when I have a funeral to plan. Absolute shower of incompetent sh1t!
Great customer service
In my experience, Medequip find themselves often in a difficult position, between getting the authority to supply equipment, authorised by the NHS, and their end customer who are often irritated that it has not arrived yet.
Only yesterday they supplied something to raise a divan bed but it was incorrect. This was not their fault as it had been wrongly specified by the NHS even though an adequate description had been given to them. This being the case their customer service person ( Antonia) could not have been more helpful in getting in touch with the NHS and reorganising the delivery.
Very unfriendly to the disabled.
I care for my wife who has mobility problems. She has had an electrically operated chair for many years. A couple of weeks ago this company came to service it. He found some problems with it but my wife could still use it. Then we had a phone call to say they would collect it which they did. We assumed they would send a replacement but they never did. They say that they are waiting for Kent County Council to authorise a new chair, but KCC insist that Medequip never told them the chair had been removed. This means that my wife has no chair to use and has to lie in bed all the time. This is an appalling way to treat a vulnerable disabled person. They seem very unhelpful. I would advise you to steer clear of them.
Staff Tell Lies
I would also give zero stars if i could. Soon after a hospital bed was delivered to my 94 year old father it developed a serious fault which meant risk of my dad falling out of bed. Rang Medequip who sent a technician out very promptly but as he could not repair it he informed us that he would arrange a replacement. The bed would be delivered 9am on Monday morning as they don't work weekends. Contacted them Monday as no bed had arrived to be told they had no record of a technician ever visiting my dad and asked if I'd called the right company! I requested an escalation. Tuesday morning I received a call to be told that they had tracked down the technician who attended who had informed them that no bed was ordered as the one my father has is fit for purpose! I have requested another repair appointment, lets see if this one goes any different. One of us is lying and its not us
Broken system
I'll start with something positive! Lovely ladies to make arrangements with and great guys that do the delivery/assembly...however, I have no idea how Medequip keep any staff at all, let alone helpful ones!!! The whole system is absolutely rubbish. People have lives, jobs etc. and cannot spend so long just hanging around on the off chance that the delivery driver will arrive. I was fortunate in the circumstances of my bed collection, but can imagine trying to deal with this at a challenging time would be just too much. The system needs a complete overhaul.
