Mark and Connor window replacement
Mark and Connor came round to replace an upstairs window. Lovely guys, respectful and tidy. Put dust sheets down and installed the window and took the old one away. Window is good quality and solid, would highly recommend this company and would use them again. martindales have two exceptional window fitters - thanks for everything.

Churchills sent a guy to assess my garage for damage to my door. The guy didn’t introduce himself, gave me no feedback and wrongly reported damage to the interior, unrelated to the door, dreadful unprofessional company which has ended up costing me over £500

Very Poor Quality and Unprofessional Service
Martindales replaced my doors and windows, but the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Their planning and scheduling were very poor, with severe delays and weak communication throughout.
The quality of workmanship was substandard, and the issue with the replacement lock was particularly shocking. After significant delays, They installed a clearly used, worn‑out, and damaged lock instead of a new one. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I have photographic evidence showing the condition of the lock; however, there is unfortunately no option to attach images here.
Despite charging my insurance around £20,000, the standard of work provided falls far below what is acceptable. Installing a visibly second‑hand lock on a customer’s home demonstrates a blatant disregard for customers and basic standards.
I would not recommend Martindales based on this experience.

Whilst the initial locks were ordered specifically for your property, we realise you felt unhappy & our branch manager contacted you to attend & discuss the issues in person. We have since acted to make this right, which has involved a return visit to swap the locks.
We have also referred redecoration aspects to your home insurance provider to be carried out by a suitable contractor.
We remain in contact with your insurer to address any ongoing queries.

Overcharging and awful service
We had Martindales appointed by insurance company after a break in when we were on holiday. Almost as big crooks as those that broke in and stole our cars.
Poor quality locks fitted and charged us double what locals would do for the better quality locks. Initially refused to supply invoices and only did so under duress.
Avoid at all costs

Firstly, we are sorry to see you had felt the need to leave a 1* review in relation to our service.
We were appointed by your home insurance provider in July 2025 to secure your property on an emergency basis. Our locksmith was with you the same afternoon & quickly secured your home by replacing the barrel & handles on a like-for-like basis, thus returning your home to its pre-loss position. Please be advised that any upgrades to higher quality locks would have been an additional charge, as your insurance policy covers like-for-like only.
We have a pre-agreed fixed price schedule with your insurer & our costs were invoiced in accordance with the same. Once authorised by your insurance company, we were able to share a copy of the invoice with you.
In line with your insurance policy, you made your excess payment & your insurer covered the costs above this amount. Our file was then closed in August 2025.
We apologise again if your feel dissatisfied, but we have acted in accordance with our agreement with your insurer.

Would recommend unreservedly
Andrew and his colleague replaced our front door that had been damaged during an emergency service call out having previously been authorised by our insurers to assess the case. On each occasion their service was excellent at what was a very difficult time for us - not only did they have the technical skills to do a perfect job and punctual they also showed great sensitivity to a recently bereaved family.

I would use this company again
Sadly due to a burglary my insurance company recommend Martindales to replace our door.
I would concider this company for future work.
Every member of the workforce from the office staff, the surveyor and the fitters, made me feel like a valued customer.
