I’ve tried a few online butchers and have to say Malpas have exceeded the others so far. Very happy with the meat quality and the delivery was excellent and with DPD which means you can get on with your day and know exactly when they are coming. Packaging was great. Enjoying going through the order and going to spark the BBQ up for the first time this year on this lovely spring day to enjoy the meat even more. Will definitely be coming back

Ordered a quantity of steak, pork roasting joint and pork chops. The price, quality, packing and delivery were all excellent. Only tried some of the steak so far and it is excellent. Very pleased and would definitely use them again.

I order all my meat now from Malpas Farm . The meat is excellent . Prices are really good too. The order I placed last Tuesday arrived on Thursday - excellent service . Friday night we had rib eye steak and it was beautiful - tasted delicious . I ordered 4 sirloin steaks ,4 rump steak , 4 rib eye steaks ,4 pork steaks and 2kg of fillet steak which I can slice to my own size.

Have been using Malpas for a couple of years now. They never disappoint. Great producers at a reasonable price.
Always dependable and offer some good bargains "discounts "

This was our first order and will definitely not be the last. The quality of the meat is exceptional. The value for money cannot be beaten. The whole process was super smooth with very quick delivery.

What a lovely business. Great service, communications and quality produce. I'll be using again for sure.

Great service very informative

As with all the other Negative reviews it all started really well.

£250 first ever order was placed, conformation emails received with delivery dates on.

Lots (too many) of emails received explaining the process.

Then delivery, on time, packed well and very chilled.
Part of the order were 2 Premium Steak boxes, this is where it starts going wrong!
In fairness one box was great, we split the vac packs to store the steaks in 2’s, the filets were a very mixed size but looked ok.
When we got the second box the filets looked horrible, as serious meat eaters we all know filet steaks are the leanest of all but these were absolutely riddled with marbled fat, had they been rump or even sirloin I could have lived with them.

Anyway I took pictures of them before we unpacked them, we then packed in 2’s and stored them.

The same day I messaged and sent pictures to Malpas Farms “office” to register my disappointment expecting them to say sorry here’s a discount voucher off your next order which would have been fine but that’s not what happened!

Some days later we got emails saying that they would arrange to collect the filets and if their butcher agreed that they were not to their specifications then they would be replaced.
Now by now we frozen them down in 2’s but so my wife didn’t get a fatty one we packed one good one and one fatty one.
So I explained that we had done this and as we had shared the order with my son so some steaks were at his house but they weren’t really interested, saying I would “only” need to partially defrost all of them and then return the fatty ones.

By now we’d cooked some of the sirloins from the steak box, very mixed sizes and some were very poor cuts of meat.

Having discussed the situation with my wife and son we all agreed it was too much hassle to return them so I contacted Malpas Farms “office” again saying how disappointed I was with their solution and that I’d keep what we had but not be ordering off them again but I would leave a review with pictures to show what other customers might be exposed to in both quality and service to which we’ve had no reply after 10 days so I’m doing my review.

To be fair the rest of the steak quality was on par with most supermarkets but at twice the cost!

I’ll stick to my local farm butcher going forward, just thought I’d have a change, shame they can’t deal with simple situations.
