We purchased a MacinCloud Managed Server specifically for Xcode/iOS development.

From day one, the pre-installed applications had permission problems. Xcode could open, but as soon as we tried to create or open a project, it failed. VS Code and Android Studio also returned permission errors.

We sent support detailed evidence showing the issue, but the response was slow and did not address the problem. Support replied that we were not allowed to install applications, even though we were not trying to install anything. We were only trying to use the pre-installed applications included with the service.

We paid for an Xcode/iOS development environment, but the server was not usable for that purpose.

Very disappointing experience, especially because of the slow and irrelevant support response.

I had an excellent experience ! I got to update my app and published it. Soon i'll return!

Title: 4 Hours Wasted – Zero Progress Due to Poor Performance

I rented a MacinCloud server specifically for Xcode development, expecting to be able to connect and start working. Unfortunately, after around 4 hours, I had made absolutely zero progress on my project.

The remote Mac was extremely laggy from the beginning, making even basic tasks frustratingly slow. The connection also disconnected unexpectedly. Despite barely using the machine, around 13 GB of the 16 GB RAM was already in use, and the supposedly newly rented Mac showed approximately 240 GB of 245 GB storage occupied while macOS was still calculating the storage usage.

Instead of working on my project, I spent the entire session troubleshooting performance, checking system activity, waiting for the Mac and contacting support.

I understand that a cloud Mac will have some latency compared with a physical machine, but this was simply not practical for development.

I cancelled within the trial period and will not be renewing. Four hours of my time were wasted and I achieved nothing I actually rented the service to do.

Very disappointing first experience.

This is one of the best alternatives if you don’t own a MacBook but need one to get your work started. The pricing is very affordable, and the service has been great. Highly recommended!

Not worth it!
I used the Pay As You Go service.
Very SLOW despite you only connecting to their server. I have good connection, no problem with online gaming. I even used their Very Fast Low Quality server, and it was still slow to use.

I would only recommend if you just need to quickly sort something out with Mac, or use it for 20mins. Don't bother relying on this.

The only good thing about it is the price, I found it decent. £25 for 25hrs usage.

I will have to look for something better even though it cost slightly more.

Honestly, I wanted to really love the capability this gave me but the execution has been terrible to say the least. I rented a managed server for well over a month. Extremely laggy connection on their end daily, continuous problems with very little disk space. Multiple programs and system updates that were pending to be installed. It’s all just an air of this company not doing any kind of maintenance to their systems. You don’t deploy a Mac to have people use, offer a 1GB connection for extra money, and then have the connection be so laggy on a daily basis as to be basically unusable. There’s been multiple instances where I couldn’t log in at all. Very frustrated with the level of service and the lack of quality, but I don’t really have a choice at this point.

I could not even access the service on the first day I bought it, and despite sending multiple emails to support, I didn't get a single reply. When I was finally able to log on 24 hours later, the performance was terrible. Basic apps like Mail wouldn't open, I couldn't log into iCloud to access my files, and Xcode froze completely. This is a awful service. I have requested a refund and sincerely hope to get one.

So far, horrible support. I bought the dedicated server plan and they charged my credit card for the full list of services, and have yet to send any crdentials. It's going on day two/three now and all you can do is open a ticket, and no one gets back to you, only automated support emails. I have lost all momentum on the iOS portions of this build so I have to shift priorities now. Pissed doen't do justice to my current state.

Technically, it works, but it's so slow and laggy. Also you don't get admin priveleges and have to find workarounds to not need to isntall anything.

I purchased a monthly plan from the company and was sent a login and password that didn't work; I sent screenshots, videos, and other details, and after two days, I finally managed to log in on my MacBook.

After that, I asked them to update Xcode to version 26.0, but they informed me they couldn't do so and that I would have to purchase a different plan.

I asked several times whether, if I switched plans or upgraded, I would receive a refund or simply pay the difference between the plans.

They did not reply—just as with my other tickets—and my requests for a full or partial refund also went unanswered.

It was very convenient having a Mac on my windows laptop. Somewhat confusing with file transfers, but I got used to it after a few attempts. Cheap, easy to use. A lot less cheaper than buying a Mac!

This is the second time MacinCloud has treated me unfairly.
First time (May 2026): I used the service for only about 2 weeks then stopped completely. After one month they automatically charged my card again without any email notification or reminder. I had to leave a 1-star review before they finally refunded me.
Second time (July 2026): I paid $29.99 for the 7-Day Monthly plan on July 15. By early August they charged me an extra $28 for “overuse” even though my total actual usage was only 4–5 hours. Support kept giving vague answers and never clearly explained the billing.
Extremely poor experience both times. Avoid this company if you value transparent billing.

Bought the 7-Day Monthly plan on Jul 15 for $29.99. By Aug 2 they charged me extra $28 (7 days × $4) even though total usage was only about 4-5 hours, they basically admitted I only exceeded by 1 day, yet still charged me $28 upfront for 7 days of overuse credits. Support kept giving vague, circular answers and refused to clearly explain the billing. Extremely unfair and frustrating experience.

If you are considering using MacinCloud, please save your time and money. My experience with their "Pay-As-You-Go" plan has been incredibly frustrating and feels designed to trap users into paying for services they aren't using.

Please be aware of the following before you sign up:
Predatory Billing Policy: They round up your usage to the next whole hour, even if you only use the server for a few minutes. If you use it for 5 minutes, they charge you for an entire hour. This is a massive hidden cost that quickly depletes your prepaid credits.
No Usage Transparency: There is no real-time dashboard or meter to show you your actual usage time or remaining hours. It is impossible to monitor your own consumption, which seems intentionally set up so they can charge you unexpectedly.
Poor Performance: Do not expect a smooth experience. The lag and latency make it difficult to perform actual development work. Despite their marketing, it does not compare to using a local machine.
Support Issues: Getting helpful, timely support is a struggle. You will likely be met with slow response times, boilerplate answers, and useless suggestions that shift the responsibility onto you to figure out their proprietary systems.
Ultimately, this service is not transparent, not cost-effective, and not reliable. If you need a Mac for development, you are much better off looking for a different provider or purchasing a refurbished machine. Stay away.

Horrendous company!!!! Stay far far away if you need a fast and working mac in cloud service!!!! I paid for a pay as you go 25h and they sent me wrong credentials… they say that they provide 24/7 customer service and it has been almost 9 hours that i am acting for a reply to the problem!!!! Of course anyone can have AI reply formatted emails… but when a dev needs a quick and fast access to work because time is money… save yourself some trouble and go to other suppliers !!!!

Works for me, but Managed Server plan that "starts at US$25/month" is actually allows to use only 7 days in a month. After that period, you'll be charged additionally.

I’m very new to Mac and wanted to do some vibe coding for an IOS app. Since I did not have a machine, I turned to Macincloud. With a little help from Gemini, I was able to develop and deploy my IOS app with no problems. I did have to use drop box to synchronize my files from Antigravity since I was running that on my pc. That was a little extra work but totally expected. Overall, good experience!
