Appalling Customer Service & Broken Promises
I ordered a ladder at 10:38 AM on Thursday, comfortably within the deadline for next-day delivery. Instead of arriving on Friday, the courier sent it to the wrong depot, where it sat completely stuck in limbo.
Things went from bad to worse when I contacted Ladders UK Direct. Calling at 10:00 AM on Monday, I was told they would email the courier. After checking in multiple times throughout the day, no response was ever received.
When I called back the following morning, they offered the exact same useless solution—sending another email. When I logically suggested they pick up the phone and call the depot instead, the staff member snapped at me not to tell them how to do their job and hung up on me multiple times.
When I finally got back through, I asked them to dispatch a replacement ladder given the original was stranded in a warehouse with zero movement or updates. They flatly refused, stubbornly insisting on waiting even longer while leaving me without the item that should have arrived days ago.
Zero accountability, rude and aggressive telephone staff, and a total failure to resolve a simple delivery issue. Save yourself the headache and buy elsewhere.

We’re sorry that you were left disappointed by your experience, and we completely understand the frustration caused by a next-day delivery being delayed after the carrier routed the ladder to the wrong depot.
We would, however, like to clarify a few points.
Once we became aware of the issue, we contacted the carrier repeatedly for an update. We generally communicate with carriers by email rather than telephone because this provides us with a written paper trail of the enquiry, their response and any actions agreed.
When you requested that another ladder be dispatched, we were initially apprehensive about doing so because the original ladder was still within the carrier’s network and could potentially still be delivered. Sending a replacement immediately could therefore have resulted in two ladders arriving.
Despite this, we have in fact sent a replacement ladder. We have also subsequently been advised that the original ladder is due to arrive today, which unfortunately demonstrates exactly why we were cautious about dispatching a second one before the carrier had confirmed the whereabouts of the first.
That said, we are disappointed to hear how you felt the telephone conversation was handled. Regardless of the frustration surrounding the delivery, our communication with customers should always remain professional and courteous.
The original problem was caused by the carrier incorrectly routing the consignment, but we fully appreciate that you placed your order with Ladders UK Direct and therefore expected us to help resolve it. We have continued to pursue the matter and arranged the replacement to ensure that you receive the ladder you ordered.
We are sorry that the delivery did not go as it should have and for the frustration this situation has caused.

Excellent quality and price
Really high quality 10m ladder def minutely professional standard . Excellent price compared to other sources , delivered next day .one small problem the stabiliser I think was from a different ladder but easily solved without intervention

Overnight service....no chance!!
Would be nice to review the ladders if and when they finally arrive!! Ordered on the 1st sept but they still have not arrived (friday evening,4th, no delivery sat or sun so looks like Monday 7th, maybe despite being an 'overnight service'.....)! Their shipping service is not the best. I'll amend the review if and when the order arrives. Be advised that if your in a rush you may want to look elsewhere!

Next day order cancelled
Next day order cancelled, rescheduled then cancelled again due to being out of stock, despite notification dispatch from delivery partner.
Advised to change product for alternative, in total took three weeks to deliver.

The loft hatch I ordered would not fit so had to return the loft hatch/ladder. 24 hours later I was supplied with the right size hatch it was a very helpful and speedy service.

The company stated next day delivery but I ordered Friday and didn’t get until late Wednesday afternoon, losing me 2 days work!!
Total runaround from customer service passing the buck constantly from department to department. Nicest person was the actual delivery driver!

We would like to clarify the delivery timescale for your order.
Your order was placed on Friday evening, after our 12:00 noon cut-off time for same-day dispatch. As stated in our delivery terms on our website, orders placed after the cut-off time are dispatched on the next working day, as we do not dispatch orders over the weekend.
Your order was therefore due to be dispatched on Monday, with delivery expected on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, there was then a 24-hour delay with the carrier, meaning your order was delivered on Wednesday instead. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused.
Once the order has been dispatched and is with the carrier, delivery times are outside of our direct control. Unfortunately, carriers can experience delays, particularly during busy periods. This time of year can be especially challenging due to increased parcel volumes and staff shortages caused by annual leave and holidays.
We are continuing to work with our carrier to minimise these delays and improve delivery performance.
We appreciate your understanding and apologise again for the inconvenience caused by the carrier delay.
