So further to my earlier review before we went on holiday and the disgusting service I received before we went on holiday. We went on the holiday and the Villa we was provided with wasn’t as bad as the pictures we was shown however you can tell that there was a rush to clean the villa as it has minimal cleaning the amount of dirt and dust in the villa was horrible splatters up the walls in bathroom. The amount of items we had to put in the dishwasher before using was a joke. James villas tried to get a member of the management company for the Villa out but unsurprisingly when you are in Florida you aren’t spending your days in the villa waiting for a management company to come around so we missed them and we wasn’t changing our plans to tell someone how to clean. So we just got on with it and spend the least amount of time in the villa as possible. Once again James villas try and wash their hands straight away with no customer service! They gave my personal email address out to people that I didn’t give them permission to do. Worst company to deal with and the people they use as management of the villas do not have any standard of cleaning it was disgusting and questionable splatters on the bathroom walls and James villas assured as it went through a deep clean it hadn’t. Wouldn’t recommend at all and glad they no longer supply villas in Florida as they are shocking to deal with and I’m not the only one with this opinion reading other reviews.
Your reply is incorrect what welcome pack did we receive because I didn’t see one. As I told you in the email we only received one note on our door from your management company so again little proof they attended 5 times not did we ask them to attend at all as there was no point LIES LIES LIES don’t believe anything James Villas tell you! Also the only reason the alternative was accepted was because we had no other choice!

We booked a villa in Kefalonia. It was 'car optional'. In fact the villa Andriana was up a mountain with steep roads which were impossible to walk up or down. We also did not have a welcome pack from the owner. We could not arrange a pick up from the airport and had to take a taxi that tied our luggage to the boot of his car and didn't know where villa was. There was no brouchers, restaurants details or taxi etc in the villa. We had to leave villa at 10am and had to book a room in a nasty hotel to leave our luggage in as our flight was 11.00pm We always holiday in a villa but never with James Villas and will never do so again.

It was really difficult to get information about key collection and/or any directions to the villa beforehand. I made three phone calls and spent ages on the phone, but still ended up with no directions and rudimentary information. Really unsatisfactory! Your team’s excuse was you simply act as an agent for Novasol. But since my contract is with you, I don’t accept this.
Then when we arrived at the villa….it’s pretty appalling and I’ll be making a separate complaint detailing a lot of issues.

Just returned from Kefalonia Trapezaki Ionian Rose Villa, fabulous family holiday bedrooms perfect we were there for 2 weeks linen and towels changed halfway through each week but the housekeeper was contactable if you needed anything, pool cleaned/maintained through stay, pool towels also provided. The outside area perfect the BBQ great although this is at the front of the property so away from everyone whilst using it.

Location great for restaurants turn left and there is great cafe open 8 till 6 serving breakfast/lunch and fabulous waffles/pancakes there are 3 restaurants open from 6 all good 2 on the main road and the third a little further up hill there is also a supermarket there. Turn right this is up hill but a low gradient so not a bad walk it takes around 20 mins walking leisurely many more restaurants up there all the ones we went to were great i particular the one on the hill (can’t remember the name) and Chefalonia, more supermarkets and Bars are also here.

The only downside is not at all walking distance to any beach although close in distance it is so steep to any beach (please be assured we will walk a hill as we love the beach and sea) my son and his girlfriend did once attempt to walk but never again we ended up hiring a car for 3 days so we could go to the beach.

All in all we absolutely loved the Villa.

Booked a villa in Spain with James villas. Took my money straight away but took 3 days for them to confirm the booking by which time the flight prices had almost doubled. I suspect this was more to do with the Spanish management company they are dealing with rather than James villas themselves.
Villa itself was lovely. Can’t fault, great location, very clean. However the management company of the villa were very bad- enough to stop me booking a villa with James villas again. Which is a shame as I have used them for many years without any problems.
We landed at 11am but couldn’t get into the villa until 4pm however when we arrived at 4pm we were told the villa wasn’t ready. No apology. When we asked when the villa would be ready the key holder got very aggressive and accused us of being German and just wanting to complain (we’re not German🤣)
The advertised price of the villa rental was misleading. On top of the price advertised on the villa search was a €120 mandatory cleaning fee, electric usage and €20 for bedding hire! I think all mandatory charges should be included in the price advertised for the villa. Finally, the management company also wanted a €300 damage deposit but would only accept cash and euros therefore you have to carry a lot of cash and are left with a lot of cash at the end of your holiday! After I complained about the attitude of the key holder to James villas I received a wats app from the keyholder at midnight that night thanking me for my complaint and hoping I felt good about myself 🤣🤣 lovely villa but not worth the hassle of the management company so would not recommend. I do have to say that James villas staff were great all the way through, but I wouldn’t want to deal with the Spanish management company again. Just not worth the hassle when all you want to do is relax on holiday.

The accommodation in Spain I chose was on the Booking.com website.I received a confirmation/acknowledge email from James Villas.This stated the total amount for the accommodation was paid in full on my debit card,my bank statement showed the funds taken were from James Villas dated 21/03/23
Then on 21/05/23 a second payment of the total funds were taken from my account by James Villas.I contacted the team and a refund was sent.
Unfortunately it was £58.12 short of the original unauthorised funds taken from my account.
It seems the money was taken out in euros so my refund was not paid back in full due to bank charges/exchange rate which I should'nt be out of pocket for.
Spoke again to the JV team who said Booking .com were at fault and to take the matter up with them and that they could not help me.
Booking.com assured me they are only a website platform and James Villas are at fault and I should get the refund from them.(Very frustrating)
The issue is still not resolved as Booking.com and James Villas are blaming each other.

Previously James Villas offered a whole package of Villa + Filghts + Car Hire.
That was not available hence the average rating.

Arrived late due to a flight delay so didn’t get a proper look round Palm Villa in Protaras until the next morning. Initial impressions were positive, however, the downstairs toilet had not been cleaned and had faeces around the rim. One of the dining chairs collapsed underneath me and on inspection most of the other five are wobbly and are eating at the small table next to the TV. There was no hairdryer and the outside table was filthy. We are staying for two weeks and are due a change of sheets, towels and clean midway through but no one’s come. The owners do not write back. On a positive not customer services do get back to you but could be quicker. Will never return to this property-not a happy experience which is a pity as it could be so good.

Great choice of accommodation, would be great to be able to book flights etc at the same time via a partner airline to remove the hassle of finding flights aligned to the dates of travel

The website is very easy to use. Quick and easy booking/payment method and all necessary information provided very quickly via email. A truly stress free experience.

Great company as always. Efficient and helpful staff made the booking process easy. It's always the first place we look to book a villa.

I have used James Villas several times and always found the staff to be very helpful and knowledgeable
