All furniture as described and delivery was quick and efficient , and helpful staff who assembled the furniture for us in the room on the 2nd floor.

Placed an order on 14th March 2023 on the understanding there was an 8-10 week lead time on the item.
Unfortunately I am still waiting and still being told it's on 'back order'.......(whatever that might mean).
I have made several polite phone calls from June 2023 onwards to chase the item, and I am getting nowhere.
It is now 21 weeks since I place the order and Island Furniture have not once contacted me out of courtesy for an update on its whereabouts. I've never known anything like it.
It is approaching half a year now since I placed the order.

UPDATE following the Island Furniture response to my initial review:
Contrary to their comments, the following is the actual account:
Following my initial review on Trustpilot, Island Furniture contacted me and requested several times that I remove the review. They told me I had requested delivery to be made after the 16th August.
Please note: the date of 16th August for moving house was not even scheduled until the 20th July with removals, and I only mentioned the 16th August to Island Furniture in an attempt to make something actually happen about my missing order. I am astounded that this information has now been turned round and used as a handy excuse for their delay. Furthermore, I was informed (by email) that Island Furniture had refunded my order (without consultation prior) and if I still wanted the item when it came into stock they could sell it to me again.......

Note: the first voluntary communication I had from Island was only made after I posted on Trustpilot, and was concerned with my review rather than the original issue.
Overall, to put it mildly, a very disappointing shopping experience resulting in a lot of wasted time and effort.

Good quality garden bench was delivered on time. The quality is very good - would buy from them again.

In response to Island - no you won’t have a record of my name as it was bought in my husband’s name. As this will be a court case due to your refusal to refund or replace best that his name isn’t on here isn’t it really. We will be very interested to read your defence!!

Bought a garden bench. Note that. A GARDEN bench. Pressure painted teak wood GARDEN bench. A very expensive GARDEN bench.
Within a few months the paint started peeling off. And continued to peel off. There is now more wood showing than paint.
Contacted Island and they offered touch up paint. Can’t do any more for us (they say) as they don’t know if the GARDEN bench has been subjected to water for instance.

Perhaps they don’t know that a GARDEN bench is sort of likely to be get wet.

However. This company has a no quibble guarantee according to their t’s and c’s. But they still refuse to take the heap of… garden bench away and give a refund a or even supply a replacement.

So - avoid these charlatans would be my advice. And yes - of course we will be going down the small claims court route.

I ordered the Oak Partner desk on the 27th November 2022 and what follows is a bit of a saga! At checkout, on the invoice and in the confirmation email an 8 – 10 week delivery time is stated. I contacted Island on the 16th January as I hadn't heard anything and was told that it was expected in the warehouse in 3 weeks, and they would arrange prompt delivery, so just over the 10 weeks stated. 3 weeks later I contacted them again and was told the desk was in the final stages of production, and the 8 - 10 weeks is an estimate only, which if you dig down into the terms and conditions on the website is stated, but isn't evident from any of the communications. On the 16th Feb 2023 I received a courtesy email stating my order was now expected into the warehouse in 3 to 4 weeks, which would be 15 weeks after I placed my original order. I rang Island to ask for a full refund, but settled ion a refund of the £45 delivery fee and a guarantee that they would deliver by the 23rd March at the latest, or I would receive a full refund (or claim through my credit card provider). On the 7th March I received another email suggesting that delivery to the warehouse would be "on or around the 17th March", which wouldn't give a lot of time to get the desk delivered to me by the 23rd March as we'd agreed, so I rang them up and was assured that they would arrange next day delivery so I'd have the desk by the 18th March. I hadn't heard anything by the 17th so I rang again and was told that the desk hadn't been delivered to the warehouse, but they would get the desk to me by no later than the 22nd... I think you can probably see where this is going... I received no contact so rang them again on the 22nd, and was assured that it would be delivered to the warehouse on the 24th, and they would arrange for a weekend delivery on the 25th March... it turned out the courier they use doesn't deliver on weekends... I did finally receive a confirmation that the item would be delivered on the 27th, but that this would be kerbside delivery only, which is contrary to the company's website which states “there is a flat delivery rate of £45 which is to the ground floor of your property”. Anyway, it turns out it wasn't even kerbside delivery, the courier turned up and there was only the driver, who physically couldn't lift the desk without my help! In fairness he did agree to bring it into the house with me. So all in all this took around 17 weeks to get a desk delivered.

Now in fairness to Island Furniture I do think the desk is good quality for the money paid, and I am happy with it. The woman working on customer service was pretty helpful given I suspect she was being put in quite a difficult position. Was it worth the hassle of the 4 month delivery saga and would I order again? Probably not to be honest, which is a shame, because the product is good, but for me the lack of transparency, and the fact that I was messed around so much, means that despite needing a lot of furniture for my house I wouldn't order from them again.

UPDATE: So I had given a 2 star review originally as the quality of the desk was quite good. Unfortunately, having had the desk about 6 months the joints have now started to separate on the desk surface. This is happening in 3 of the 4 corners, and the separation is between 1mm and 3mm wide (see the photo). You might expect some flex in the wood, but to have splits that are so wide does suggest poor workmanship. I emailed Island with photos on the 27th October and haven't had a reply yet.

There have been many conversations with the company. I.had to.take my bed out of packing to see it .it had many imperfections and a split but they wanted the bed back inpakaging but said all there beds are the same so I can't have a replacement it was supposed to take 8 weeks it took a week in the sale so I love the workmanship but not the faults I'm getting a pot of paint to.touch up imperfections So.i.asked for new headboard and they don't sell separately but on there website they do just a night mare from beginning to end Will never use again don't understand with my consumer rights they should have apologised and offered me a new bed ,but when mine was in there where house il.get my money back.

Had a recent delivery from this company. The quality of the furniture is excellent however the drivers would not take away the boxes, and we had to dispose of these ourselves.

I purchased the Throne chair in Gold and white leather. Absolutely love it , delivery was fast and I have to say a big thank you to the helpful delivery driver.

We are very happy with our sleigh bed that has just been delivered. It looks great in our bedroom and the colour fits the decor perfectly. The item is very reasonably priced and the delivery was prompt.

I ordered a wardrobe that stated it was in stock - however after placing an order, I was informed it would be months before it arrived. I told them I would cancel then as I needed it urgently. Suddenly they rang me back and let me know they could actually get it between 2 - 4 weeks - funnily enough that was now two months ago. I have now purchased elsewhere since I let them know it was urgent for a certain date and they are now ignoring all my calls, messages and emails - and still no refund - even though they replied to one of my messages where I asked for the refund. Am commencing small claims tomorrow. What a shame as i had plenty more items I was going to purchase but wanted to see what the items and customer service was like first - I guess I now have my answer.

Just purchased a throne chair, very happy with the product , it's comfortable and sturdy.
I have purchased a number of furniture pieces from Island Furniture and have not been disappointed.

Lovely quality furniture at a great price. Delivery was not a problem with the driver ringing 1 hour before. The item was quite large and it was brought to the room where we wanted it.

Due to my negative review, this is what this company have done:

-1st they called me and asked me to remove my review from Trustpilot and close my complaint with paypal.
-I said I will once I receive my delivery as it was over 3 months since my order.
-They cancelled the order the next day
-Two/Three days later I got written threats numerous time via my email to take of Trustpilot review or they will take me to small claim court
-I told them, everything I put down is the truth, If it's not, the first instance for them is to challenge my review via Trustpilot or reply to it. And if they wish to go ahead with small claim court, I am not concern.
-Now, they have gone so low, they started to put negative reviews on my business pretending to be my guest/customers all at the same time and experienced our service whilst we have been closed (we are seasonal business).
It's really concerning about this unprofessional business!!! A MAFIA style behaviour!!!!

Since I have written my last review (last month for this company), suddenly they have all 5 stars review about how great their team and service are!!!
In my opinion, definitely after my last review, all the other reviews are FALSE and BOGUS.
I would be very cautious before placing any orders and if you do, make sure you do it via Paypal, at least theirs chance of getting your money back if they don't deliver your goods!!!

The team at Island Furniture are very friendly and supportive with good knowledge. We are an elderly couple so when we ordered we asked for assembly. Our bed was delivered weeks earlier than expected and was setup and the boxes taken away. Very pleased with the service

We have several pieces of furniture purchased from Island. All is good quality and delivered well. Sometimes it takes a bit longer but is worth the wait.

We received our order last month and we couldn't be happier. The ordering process from start to finish was straight forward and easy. The bed looks great and is a lovely colour. The delivery people were very helpful and took away the boxes , all in all it was a first class service

I would say this company is very professional , we bought a bed from them over 10 years ago and when we recently moved house the bed got scratched by the removals company. My husband rang the Bed co and asked to see if we could get touch up coloring. A bottle of stain arrived by post 2 days later and after applying it matched our furniture perfectly. Problem solved !

We have recently purchased bespoke wardrobes from Island Furniture Co. After buying an old cottage in Devon some of the ceilings had old wooden beams so we wanted to order some wardrobes to fit in the space. We searched the internet until we found this company who said they could offer a bespoke service. After the initial query we sent in some photos of the room and the ceiling beams and they replied back after a couple of days with drawings and images, it was scaled to fit exactly into the position we wanted to and we agreed on a price and delivery time. The items have now been delivered and the wardrobes fit perfectly and are very well made and finished to a high standard in the lovely chestnut colour. We have two more rooms to do and we will certainly use Island Furniture again.

Got the 2nd order from Island Furniture last week and I have to say the quality is just as good as before. I could not be happier with the furniture and the customer service.

Got our lovely throne chair delivered last week. The quality is excellent and fits snugly in our shop - Love it !
