I just got off the phone with Neil, a broker, who went above and beyond to teach me about Ideal4Finances interest free financing services for businesses to offer to their customers. I had spoken to several other companies and not one had taken the time to explain the realities of how it would work, and Neil did so knowledgeably and patiently, with a consideration of how it would work with my business, and with regards to best ethical practice. I was hugely impressed, and very much value his help.

On the surface, everything looks and works as you would expect in a good company.

Each person I spoke to from Sales, to account manager to help-desk was professional, reliable and courteous. The website is easy to use and they will provide everything you need to be up and running very quickly.

The problem with the service is the unreasonable loan terms offered to our students. As a private education provider we have up to 60 students at any one time paying annual training fees. We had many enquiries about finance over the years and ideal4finance looked like a good option. Not cheap, but fair, given our expectation that many of our students could benefit from the service.

However, in over two years, not one of our students completed on a loan offer. Each time a student received a quote, they contacted us to protest and were frequently very upset about the terms and the APR they had been offered. Most of them went on to train but were able to obtain fair better loan rates from their banks, credit card providers or other loan companies.

I'm not sure what percentage Ideal4finance makes from completed loans but they make very good money just from setting up and charging the business owner for their services. They have a successful business model regardless of the loans that are offered to your customers.

Some of the applicants revealed to me the APR they had been offered and I can only say they were the equivalent to the absolute worst credit card rates or payday loan companies.

I have discontinued the service as I did not feel it was ethical to expose our students to this kind of debt.

Taking up this services counts as one of my biggest and most costly (in terms of ROI) business mistakes in 18 years of running the business.

If you sell large ticket items and consider yourself to be an ethical business, stay away!

We contacted the sales team about us offering finance options to our customers, they were very friendly and gave us a good explanation of what they can offer, we then arranged a meeting with Stephen Fairhurst within a couple of days of our enquiry. Stephen was amazing he is super knowledgeable, so enthusiastic and patient and explained everything to us in an easy to understand manor. We are confident through talking with Stephen that our business will continue to grow with the help of offering great finance packages through Ideal4finance and we look forward to working with him and the sales team in the coming months and years.

Applying for finance to help fund the installation of solar panels at my home was a simple and straight forward exercise. Having been awarded the finance I could activate the agreement at the required time. Several telephone calls from a very friendly and supportive team member, ensured that the installation had been completed to my satisfaction, that all documentation was in place and that I was happy!
