Customer service was great and very helpful

Great service. I had a light pop up on my dash, I called them and they fitted me in within half an hour, they went above and beyond to help advise me on what my options were to fix a potentially very expensive problem. I get my MOT done here too and have never had any problems.

HiQ in Truro were our life savers’ punctures never happen at great times but if I could choose where it was only 200 yards from them! In out and home the kettle on in an hour - we had the grandson 23 mnths the daughters two dogs (who can be yappy) in the car at the time and they were all well behaved!

Very friendly garage booked my car in day before and was done and sorted in a day. Fantastic service great prices for the work they do. We will not take out cars anywhere else.

I booked ahead and so no waiting. The guys were very friendly and helpful. And I got a discount on the tyres. Will definitely use them again

The staff were very friendly, helpful and explained potential problems. The appointment I needed was the following day. I don't feel I'm being overcharged (which, as a woman, is a big plus!) HiQ are always my first choice when I have a car problem.

I cannot express just how helpful the team at St Austell Hi q are. My car failed it's mot, they got it sorted and re tested all whilst I was there. They understood just how reliant on my car I am. They went above and beyond. Their customer service was excellent and they're prices are reasonable and will work with you and your budget. Totally recommend them and I will be going to them from now on.

Nothing but praise for Dan and the rest of the team at HiQ St Austell, even the old fella doing the MoT's. They stuck to their quote, completed all the jobs professionally and cleanly and even put a free air freshener in the cabin. There was excellent communication throughout. I will be back next time I need something doing and I'll be bringing doughnuts!! Thank you!!

On this occasion i went to see chris about some tyres Mot Advisory as he has always looked after me.

My vehicle went in for a major service and mot on the 4/4/25 which for £334.00 I thought was a great price compared to other quotes I had. On getting home I noticed that my coolant had changed colour from blue to clear and the system overfilled. I queried this with the local branch and they said anything to do with the coolant was not part of the service although clearly I could see someone had tampered with it. Today the 9/4/25 I had an mot advisory fixed by an independent mechanic and explained about the coolant issue, he proceeded to check this out for me and found that my original coolant had been drained and replaced with plain water. So much for Hiq saying that they don’t touch the cooling system during a service, I have now had to pay out for new coolant so my engine is properly protected. If this had been during the winter it could potentially have been very damaging. I’ll never use this company again.

I ordered 4 new types for my Jeep and requested that they be fitted at the nearest local company approved by Black Circles, HiQ in St Austell. The tyres were fitted, but there were 3 problems: (1) 3 of the tyres were under inflated (2) One of the 4 Jeep metal dust covers were obviously lost and replaced with a standard rubber version and (3) the car door handle was damaged probably by the tyre technician hitting it against a pillar. I raised a claim with Black Circles and provided a garage estimate for the repair which amounted to over £400. Black Circles rejected my claim as they had been told that HiQ’s policy is never drive a customer’s car into the fitting unit so the fault must be my own. This is an obvious lie. In fact I was asked to park in the customer car park and hand over my keys for the technician to park the car in the bay when it was ready for fitting my tyres. Despite the obvious falsehood provided by HiQ Black Circles have decided that their customer is a liar.

When others were too busy to help us and turned us away HiQ Tyres came to our rescue of a flat tyre. And a helped our return journey back to Hampshire. The young lady was very helpful, professional and understanding and went thr extra mile in getting another tyre available to repair our flat tyre. Very impressed with them, especially as they were very busy too and short staffed.

HiQ St Austell never fail to keep me & my family motoring. From tyres to mot’s & repairs HIQ have us covered. Great service, great people.

I have always used and trusted the branch in St Austell until recently, when my car was apparently repaired and I was told it was safe to drive which led to be having to be towed home. I have since taken the car to another garage who have stated and proven that the issue found should have been found in the major service hiq conducted on my car. I have requested a callback from customer services and was promised a call back from the owner at St Austell and this has not happened. Lack of care, spoken to like I was stupid and overall dangerous.

Had my MOT and 4 new tyres fitted brilliant job done on both counts. Met the owner who gave good advice and was really helpful. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Arrived for appointment to be told that they were short staffed but would do their best time wise. So I went for a walk to town, arrived back 45 minutes later and it was all finished, two new tyres fitted. Happy helpful lady on reception and took roughly how long i expected. Would happily use again for tyres unlike Halfords who took over 2 hours to fit two tyres last year.
