Great quality of helper sent to clean my place, affordable and efficient

The cleaning was alright.

However, there were hidden fees in the platform. When I made the booking, the booking page and the email confirmation showed $79.90. However, after the cleaning, Helpling charged my card $89.90. Had I not checked my credit card billing, I may not have noticed the discrepancy which was quite stealthy.

After contacting Helpling, they claimed that there is supposed to be a surcharge of $10. This surcharge was not displayed anywhere when I made a booking. Had I known about the surcharge, I would have used other platforms.

After some discussion, Helpling subsequently refunded the amount as a "gesture of goodwill". I am not against a surcharge, but it needs to be transparent at the point of booking. In addition, refunding me such that I pay the advertised price should not be a "gesture of goodwill", but the essence of any commercial transaction.

The support help that Helpling sends have been of good quality. I did not have a single helper in the beginning and always have ad hoc cleaner coming by every 2 weeks. Each time, it is clear that they have been trained consistently by Helpling. Their service and the way they clean are not far from each other generally. After awhile of trying Helpling out, I decided to engage a permanent help that comes every 2 weeks. Initially one came but her work was not as I would hope for (but she is always gentle and friendly). I wrote to Helpling and they arranged a change for me without having to go through much hassle on my side (except to explain myself why I would request for a change). I'm happy with my Helpling helper now for 3 months already. Overall, I would recommend Helpling platform to anyone who needs help with their house.

I have been using Helpling’s general cleaning services for about a year now, and I am happy with the services from the helpers as well as the excellent customer service from their team of home advisors.

The back end support is so important - because whenever my regular Helpling was not able to come, they always find a suitable replacement in a timely manner.

Recently I have been assigned a new regular Helpling because my old one had left the company. And this new helper Phoo Wai Tun is excellent! She’s one of the best we have had. She is a polite and quiet worker, and takes instructions well. Highly recommend her service!

Kay is very punctual and responsible. She lets me know when one task is done before moving on to another ensuring checklist for the day is completed on time. She is very pleasant to work with.

Helpling is helpful and overall customer service is good. However, the service agent assigned to me were not as good as those before Apr 2025. Often they cannot finish the work and/or poor quality. The latest though is her first time, did complete the work including ironing. However, she needs to focus more on the quality which I believe she can improve if she can come back to work on my order but I think Helpling will likely not able to assign her back to me again .

Easy to schedule or cancel appointments on the app, customer service is reachable via Whatsapp for any query as well. Assigned helper has been quite helpful and does her assigned tasks well.
