I have been with healthy pets for 6 years. They are reasonably priced compared to other pet insurers and quick to process claims which are positives. However, if I could go back in time I wouldn’t insure my boy with them. My boy tore his cruciate and needed TPL surgery, it cost £3,600, we are insured for £4000 so we thought we would be covered but they have a clause that they only pay out £1,500 for cruciate damage. I had no idea and would never have insured with them if I knew they had clauses for different amounts for different conditions. So would recommend doing your shopping round and checking if other insurers have the same clause before you make a decision. Because once you’ve made a claim for a condition, unless you no longer want to be able to claim for that condition, you are stuck with the insurer you chose on day one for the duration of your pets life.
