I had 8 upper veneers replaced in 2024. I have been struggling with a result that is so very different to what I was promised by HSDC, and no explanation has been given as to why I receieved hard, long and narrow veneers that are so very different to my natural teeth. The veneers are a lot more narrow than my lips when I smile, and there is a loss of lip support, when lip support was an important aim of the treatment.

I have struggled ever since with a narrowed upper arch, narrowed bite and a loss of lip support, and challenges when eating and speaking. The dentist performed an edge reduction which wasn't discussed at any point, it was stated in a contract I was told to sign on my way to having the temporaries fitted. I had not seen the temporaries but my dentist said she understood I wanted central domininace and feminine characteristics like my original teeth had.

The previous set of veneers I had were made by a dentist in Essex, and were quite square and bright white, but still looked attractive. There was nothing about my arch width that needed narrowing.

I was working with a dentist called Dr Shenouda who produced a model of a feminine set of veneers. When it came to the day of treatment, she cancelled on me. This happened twice. The second time was because she wanted to go on holiday and told me to postpone my treatment from June until September. I asked the clinic for my money back but the Director of the clinic said that someone else in the clinic would be able to help. She appeared to have a good understanding of the feminine and youthful characteristics I was trying to regain that my natural smile had. I asked her to take on my case and she said she would speak with Dr Shenouda first to see if she understood my treatment aims and if Dr Facco felt she could help. I recieved a call from one of the practice receptionists a week later to say a thorough handover had been given and Dr Facco was confident she could take on my case.

I have ended up with a result that is completely opposite to all of my treatment aims and is very narrow and masculine.

I am not sleeping propelry due to the tight, narrowed feeling. I emailed the practice in 2024 only to be told to call the samaritans and that they would not refund me.

The photo in the profile are the current veneers, and I haven't receieved an explanation as to why the result is so different to my treatment aims, or why they went out of the way to remove all femininity from my smile. If I attempt to submit a review, Google tells me that I am leaving false negative reviews. This is my experience and I would like to be heard and make others aware. Since the veneers were fitted, I have been experiencing discomfort and distress due to my bite being severely narrowed, and the affect to my mental health, as 2 years on all I can see is the hard severe shapes and how my canines and centrals have been narrowed and set back. This is severe enough that I am struggling to sleep properly.

This happened between April- June 2024. I had to change the date on this site in order to have the review published.

Do not use this dentist for composite bonding. Not honest, work is poor and they overcharge compared to others. I now have to go to another dentist to correct their work. I wrote a letter of complaint, and they never bothered to respond. Once they have your money, it's over.

Very unprofessional and did not honour what they offer for a composite bonding. Sent me two promotions and did not allow me to opt for the better offer that they made by emailing me without prompt. When charged about their poor practice, they then wanted to charge me more than what they had offered. Be warned and need to be careful in dealing with this company. Make them spell out exactly how much they will charge before you agree a treatment.

I've been a patient of Dr Mary Shenouda's for over 25 years - she's consistently provided the highest possible standard of care - and this has extended to my entire family. Mary is highly qualified, hugely experienced and meticulous in her approach to dentistry. Her professional knowledge is immense and is matched by her genuine warmth and concern for her patients. Miraculously, she has been able to reassure my 19 year old autistic son so that he is happy and confident whilst in the dentist's chair - an achievement not to be underestimated. Both of my children have also had successful orthodontic treatment under Dr. Stephen O'Connor. I highly recommend the HSDC team to anyone searching for outstanding dental care.

Under the care of Dr. Qureshi, Dr. Abdullah, and Prit, the Practice Manager, I had undergone a full upper jaw implant treatment — an experience that quite literally changed my life.

This place is a scam. Avoid. They make you fill in an online consultation card taking all your personal details. The don't phone you, they Whatsapp you from a cell number talk to you but never give you and appointment date and time to come in. This person 'Danielle' allegedly keeps saying I will check the diary and come back to you tomorrow and never does. Then when you chase, they eventually ignore you all together. Something with this place is NOT right!!!

I started my Invisalign and dental treatment with Dr. Jana 8 months ago and as someone who has a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist, the main thing that stood out with Dr. Jana was how he made sure I was involved with my own treatment plan, and how he was supportive at every step and made sure I was always comfortable. I genuinely felt heard and given time and patience and cared for - and I don’t think I’m the easiest patient to deal with. The results are already looking amazing and I can’t wait to finish my treatment plan!

What I loved most about Dr. Jana is his honesty. He didn’t upsell me or overpromise. We agreed on a realistic plan for my smile and he delivered with excellence.

Came to see Dr Jana Denzel after seeing him on BBC The Apprentice. He was just as amazing as I thought. Really kind, professional and personable. Best experience I've ever had at the dentist - really recommend!

Shocking service -

Arrived at the place - looked very posh with water and coffee in the waiting room. Whilst waiting in the waiting room my dentist came down stairs to have a discussion with the receptionist about being nice and kind (I don’t know to who ?) and at one point the secretary had to tell the dentist ‘You are the kindest person here’ which made me feel like there was an issue going on between colleagues/patients at the clinic (i was sat in the corner of the waiting room facing both the dentist and the secretaries and honestly shocked they had that discussion with me sat there)

Met with the dentist who apologised for being late stating his last patient took longer than usual and invited me upstairs to his consultation room. when walking up the stairs we encountered his previous patient when the dentist told him to not leave and wait around for the dentist to speak to him again. Once upstairs in the dentist office I spoke to him regarding my dental crown issues. He then took one look in my mouth and advised that a crown is not suitable and he would not recommend a crown as the success rate is low. He then stated that he is a pediatric dentist and advised me to consider an opinion from someone more specialised in that field but then later stated you would only be wasting money.

Appointment really lasted only 10 mins and on the way out he said he would only charge me 100 rather than 150 as this was an emergency appointment and he was doing me a favour ( this is in fact was not an emergency appointment, this appointment was booked 2 weeks ago as a weekend appointment ). Anyways got downstairs to pay the receptionist who insisted the charge would be 150 and so I just paid to not cause a fuss around the other patients. I had to call the secretary once outside to inform her that when booking this appointment my charge would be 95 and asked for a 50 pound deposit (which I had paid already). Receptionist mentioned that there was a note on my file stating to charge either 95 or 150 pound ( I assume if treatment was to be offered then I would be expected to pay more than 95), but asked me to send my card details for a refund.

All in all it was a terrible experience to wait 2 weeks for a person to look in your mouth for less than 30 seconds and say he’s not an expert in this field but the tooth should be removed and then charge for something which was not explained on the initial booking. I can only assume he was busy dealing with the previous patient and wanted me in and out as quick as possible. Wish it was with someone specialised in crowns and more open to discussion.

edit ** what i thought was a refund turned out to be an additional charge, thankfully they called me and informed me and sent an email explaining this - based on the overall experience i guess it just wasnt meant to be

This review was put on Google and I was advised I would receive a call from the practice manager and surprise surprise nobody has called. Please avoid

Complete cat fish scam. No other way to describe it.

HSD offered me an implant for circa £1500/3500. They then replaced my front crown with a temporary replacement and then later after two years worth of appointments added a butterfly replacement crown at this point I’d spent circa £3000. I asked when the implant would be put in and then was introduced to another dentist that sent me a bill to carry out this work that was an additional £4k on top of my previous payments.

The dentist then claimed he didn’t know who made that initial offer (£1500/3500)

I showed them the email from their office.

If you want implants go to Turkey wish I did. I’m told you can get your whole mouth implanted for circa 4k if you want the best results at a fair price. The U.K dental industry is in my opinion a scam operation.

The 1 star above is for their team acting performance to pull off a scam like this the red flags were there but I trusted them and got screwed over.

I’m still angry about this today and the last correspondence was a year ago.

Not even worth 1 star! The customer service is terrible, the consultation was 10 minutes over the phone with a dentist who couldn’t care less…. £50 down the drain. Kimia (guessing she’s some sort of “manager”) has tried calling me and texting me off about 3 numbers… all a little bizarre.

I always come here for my hygienist Pan who is always reliable, always polite , kind and has a soft hand.

I called to try to book an Air Polish (airflow) session. I have previously found this helpful to remove coffee stains from my teeth. However, I was told that the price for this - and even the duration of the appointment (?!) - would be the same as for a whole hygiene session, which includes several others techniques that I don't need. Airflow costs around £25-40, whereas I was asked the full price of a hygiene session (£150).

The problem is: you can have as many airflow sessions as you wish, as this type of treatment is harmless and non-invasive - it uses a combination of water, compressed air and fine powder particles.

However, The BDA (British Dental Association) recommends 2 hygiene visits per year. Having hygiene too often can cause harm to the teeth, as it includes abrasive techniques.

I don't think it is fair to prevent a patient from choosing only one treatment by pushing them to buy "all or nothing". Especially considering that clinical guidelines do not recommend having hygiene visits too frequently.

Went for a consultation to discuss invisiline treatment. Felt rushed, and the customer service was poor other than the dentist/dr’s assistant who was very friendly and came to let me know they were running late. Considering this is ‘Harley street’ the service and consultation didn’t match up to reviews or reputation. The dr/dentist helia asked me how can i help you when i sat in the chair, i have clearly booked in and paid a deposit for a certain treatment, clearly didn’t check my records or form I was requested to fill out before the appointment as she asked me questions that I filled in the form. She was also speaking so fast, didn’t explain much but managed to get me to have a X-ray not explaining im not actually eligible for treatment until after. So I paid for an X-ray for absolutely no reason at all. Very disappointed I will be going to my local dentist to discuss treatment.

Dr Helia did my composite bonding and I couldn’t be happier. She gave me exactly what i had pictured! The whole team were lovely throughout the appointments, especially Annie who was so warm and welcoming!

I recently had appointments with Sairan and Anna, both ladies are super professional, welcoming and incredible at their jobs! I travel 2.5 hours to visit Harley Street Dental as nowhere else compares.

I started going to Harley Street Dental Clinic after my wonderful dentist Dr Christian Pintado transferred there from another clinic and I am always blown away by the service and professionalism.

I’ve been seeing Christian for nearly five years now and he is a master of what he does - I was recommended him by another clinic following a complicated dental trauma and poor treatment from the NHS, and the investment has been 100% worth it. I’m one of the few people that can say I look forward to going to the dentist!

Christian’s dental nurse Maurita is a ray of sunshine and always makes me feel so relaxed every time I’m there. The two work together so remarkably - I always feel so looked after and they’ve both made really some quite nerve-racking treatments feel like a walk in the park.

If ever there are appointment delays due to patient lateness earlier in the day, the clinic is always proactive with their communication and sincerely apologetic when you are seen to.

The receptionists at the clinic are always friendly, communicative about payments and deposits and remember my name whenever I come back. The little details really count and this clinic achieves that really well.

I couldn’t recommend Christian and Maurita more! They’re dental superheroes.

I've just finished my orthodontic treatment with Stephen and I'm grateful for the care and attention he has given throughout this process.

He was acutely aware of all the concerns I had around having braces as an adult, as well my anxiety around maintaining my results, but I have been in great hands - so much so that I have decided to stay with HSDC for all my dental treatment going forward. The team is amazing. Highly Recommended.

Went for consultation for implants and then got whacked for money £95 30min consult an £150 hygienist and then want £270 for iv sedation

Lady tried to make me have 2nd xray which (is nhs dentist thing make xray get paid )had one already done

Wouldn’t recommend people with bad teeth go there it’s pricy and rip off with nhs patients who are in need of new teeth
