Don't buy from this company bought a travel guide from Greener books through Amazon when it arrived on the back of the book were two stickers one was a Oxfam price ticket for£2.00 the other was a label saying that it was a gift aid meaning that the book was given to Oxfam.I paid £6.06 are they going to give the money to Oxfam.

I do not recommend anyone to shop with these people. Who ships things without tracking numbers???? This place is a freaking joke and a scam

I've ordered hundreds of new and second hand books online down the years and have never once had any problems. That is, until I ordered a book through Greenerbooks (via AbeBooks UK) on the 18th January. To date, despite emails asking the whereabouts, the book hasn't arrived - and neither have I been given the courtesy of a reply to my enquiry. It would appear when reading the bulk of the reviews on this site that my experience is far from rare, and so the logical conclusion is that Greenerbooks are a company very much not to be trusted - and that the normally dependable AbeBooks UK must be guilty by association.

I previously wrote a bad review of this company criticising them for failing to return my money for a book that hadn't arrived.In fact they had acted promptly and the matter is now resolved.The error was mine.

Ordered book via AbeBooks on 24 Dec 2018. Book did not arrive. Emails and telephone calls remain unanswered.
This company needs to be investigated by trading standards.

The book was described as good condition, never. It looked as though it had been picked up at a car boot sale, a charity shop would have probably sent it for recycling. It was a children's book and was bent, grubby and with a tea stain on it. Be very careful, you could be lucky if you are looking for a specialist book. The title 'Greenerbooks' gives the indication that you may be supporting the environment.

Ordered a book from Greener Books Ltd through ABE Books. Not delivered. No response to my complaint. Seems to be standard practice for them reading emails below. In process of reporting to relevant authorities.

Terrible service just got standard email that item is dispatched but nobody knows where??

Hello..I just would like to say that this is my first time to use this company, and the book I received was better than described, so I'm very happy. As you will see from my other reviews of other companies who sell second-hand books, I'm not always satisfied. Hopefully I will be able to buy more books from this company, if my first purchase is anything to go by!

Ordered a used book via abe. Really good price and quality. The delivery was excellent, ordered Thursday, arrived the following Monday.

I have ordered a book featuring specific knitting patterns. Instead I received a book on how to make cards.
After I left a review as ‘unsatisfactory ‘ I received an email with apologies and a request to remove my negative comment.
Why would I do that? I have not received the correct book nor my money back!
It is virtually impossible to contact the seller. The telephone number is for a mobile; nobody is answering. The email address that I’ve been advised to use has been removed.
It has gone from bad to worse.

The book I ordered arrived damaged with the remains of a sticker on the front, looked like it came from a car boot sale! I paid full price for this book. Couldn’t be bothered to send it back but definitely won’t buy from here again.

Didn't receive book but they took payment. Sent 2 emails but no reply, no help from Amazon either. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVIOD

I ordered 6 toddler books placing the order through AbeBooks on 01.05.18. I received a confirmation e mail that day stating the books would take 2-6 days. By 15.05 18 I sent an email to Abebooks informing them I had not received the order & Greener Books replied stating:

Your order was dispatched 02.05.18

Delivery is usually within 3-7 working days (not including weekends). There

Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
They promised to resend the order on 18.05.18. By 31.05 this order has not al pearled They implied this was due to my unavailability & or failure of the postman to leave a card. Checked with Royal Mail sorting office who had no parcel. A 3rd parcel was promised but by 07.06 I requested a refund which has been ignored. They say they are contacting Royal Mail but as the parcel was not registered or tracked I feel it's a ploy. I now believe the further orders were never sent. Nightmare of a company to deal with which has left me extremely frustrated. Never again

The books received were in better description than advertised also good prices.

Ordered 3 used books through Amazon which were sent to South Africa - they arrived on time and their condition was as described - I recommend Greener books without hesitation

Ordered Talk French 2 book from Amazon and it arrived (albeit a day later than stated) and is in perfect condition.

Absolute shambles of a company, let's start from the beginning shall we, I purchased five books through Amazon, I received an email a couple of days later saying the items where dispatched and the money was taken from my account. Once the day of delivery had been and gone I emailed the seller greener_books through Amazon to enquire about any delays. No response for two days until I called Amazon directly as emailing is an incredibly slow process. Amazon emailed greener books directly and within thirty minutes I received a reply from greener books asking me to life the A-Z complaint and refund from Amazon as it is damaging to there business. After a couple of emails back and forth from Tina at greener books, I quickly grew impatient having to check emails while working. I decided I would try and call them, after looking at both there websites old (co.uk) and new (alibris) it was apparent that the emails address provided exam pl@gm ail.com was not correct nor was the phone number 01234567890. I searched a bit more and found some reviews on here. Things where not looking good for my order. After a little more searching I found a Facebook page for greener books with a number (hooray) 02089656699 . Sadly when calling this number a company ID appeared called choice textile. Someone quickly answered and informed me that they work in the same office as greener books but have no connection! And that greener books does not do any business over the phone, (it becomes clear in a moment why) I explained my situation and I told her I would be making a complaint to trading standards and if I could have her name so as to add to my record. She asked if I could hold the line and then a moment later another woman spoke informing me she was from greener books and wanted to know what the issue was, (she wouldn't give me her name so I referred to her as love as I'm from Yorkshire and everyone I meet is a love man woman child and even people from London) I explained the issue of not having time to sit and email all day and that I wanted a refund as I will be having to order the books from a more reputable source to ensure swift delivery. She was confused as I mentioned Tina in the emails had asked me to remove the refund charge. Again I was placed on hold and a moment later a ever so slightly louder woman answered the phone. She began stating how things worked and how I was in the wrong to request a refund. Through Amazon (she did not like me calling her love, I stopped calling her love after I learnt she was Tina, her attitude is probably why they don't do business over the phone) she told me that she will send out all five books again if I cancel the refund charge through Amazon. I asked if she had ever dispatched the original order and she blamed royal mail. I told her if she didn't send the originals then send them now if they arrive before Friday when I need them for, I will cancel the refund request. And if she did send the originals I will return any extra books to her at no cost. I then told her that both her websites where very misleading and held a lot of incorrect information. She blamed the web developer. At this point I decided to end the conversation. I wished her a good day called her love one last time as a hooray for consumerism and hung up. A truly disgusting individual with the telephone manner of an angry teenager, a business so little standards deserve to be held with bad reviews and refund charges from market selling websites.

I ordered ' Please Mrs Butler: Verses' by Allan Ahlberg and what I received was All the Things We Didn't Say by Sara Shepard. That says it all really.

I Ordered a used book from Greener books and got a confirmation email straight away, the book arrived promptly a few days later. The book is in excellent condition, good as new. Would definitely buy from them again and recommend to others.
