We recently sold our house via the Yarm branch of Gowland White.

The whole team were proactive, professional, and in very regular contact with ourselves and the buyers ensuring as smooth a sale as possible.

We’ve just completed the sale of our house with Esther and couldn’t be happier with the service we received from her and the team! We found our dream house and knew time would be limited so we didn’t lose the property, from the moment we submitted an enquiry form online, Esther acted quickly and we had our house on the market in a matter of days! Esther was extremely professional and great at communicating throughout the process, she was pivotal in helping us secure our dream home in time for Christmas! Thank you so much.

Incredible customer service from start to finish. The sales team are amazing, it’s the second time we have used Gowland White and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Communication is brilliant, with weekly updates on how the sale is progressing (often better than the solicitors at keeping in touch!) and thoughtful touch points through to completion. I recently completed a property sale through Gowland White Estate Agents, and I can honestly say the experience exceeded all expectations. From the very first valuation to the final handover of keys, the team was professional, responsive, and clearly dedicated to providing a first-class service.
While every interaction I had with Gowland White was positive, I want to give special recognition to Demi & the Sales Progression team. They were the real driving force behind making the sale happen smoothly and on time. Their attention to detail, regular updates, and calm handling of any bumps along the way made what could have been a stressful process feel completely manageable.
The Sales Progression team kept in constant contact, liaising with solicitors and my buyer, ensuring nothing was missed and keeping everything moving forward. The staff were all great and very helpful. As an elderly lady I found the support they gave me both selling my house and buying my bungalow invaluable. The sales team kept me informed all the time as to the progression of the sale and on the actual moving day when things weren't moving quickly enough and I was in danger of running out of time to move the support I got was amazing . So a huge thank you and I'll highly recommend you.

The team at Gowland White are amazing, the sale went through very quickly, even though we live abroad and had to send documents through a courier.

Positives
1. It was easy to book a viewing with the agents and to confirm a date agreeable to everyone regarding the viewing of the property.
2. They made communications after viewing the property to receive feedback.

Negatives
1. After placing a offer and it being accepted. Communications were persistent chasing documentations we hadn't received from their solicitors.
2. They did not inform us of issues that had arose with delay of sale, most of information was given by others involved e.g. solictors when asked by ourselves of reasons for delay.
3. The estate agents did not appear up to date with were the sale was and updates when given were usually 2 weeks we had originally been told by others e.g. solictors.
4. When we attempted to contact we would not receive a call back or email withing reasonable time frame usually over 48hours response during the week mon-fri.
5. We would be asked multiple times to answer questions already provided to someone else in the same estate agents. It appeared there maybe a 2 people jobsharing however they did not share information and keep each other up to date.

Overall, communication between themselves and with ourselves was very poor. Our overall experience of buying the property was a good one but not because of this estate agents, the solicitors and the agents manner and Harrison kept us more informed and wete up to date with sale progress throughout making the experience an overall positive one. Gowland and white were the only shadow making the experience difficult and made a stressful time, more so. We ended up not speaking to these estate agents for updates and went through solicitors because there updates were out of date and insufficient.

Clare was wonderful. She provided clear information and was a great point of contact, especially when selling a property from abroad. She was knowledgeable and organised. The solicitors attached to Gowland White did require a lot of prompting when things stalled, and when asked reassured me that things were progressing when in fact key information had not been sent. I would happily use Gowland White again, but would use a different solicitor firm.

Great service from the whole Team. A very long process down to poor buyers Solicitors in the chain. The Team pursued at every opportunity and eventually we achieved success. Sales Team responded quickly to requests and were very professional.

Bought a house from Gowland White, from submitting the offer to receiving the keys, their friendliness and communication was excellent.

We’ve had a good experience overall with Gowland White, Magda and Demi in particular were great. Kept us up to date and always available to answer any questions.

Magda, Demi and the Team at the Stockton Branch were always on hand to assist where needed. They provided a realistic valuation for our sale. They were never pushy and were very friendly and helpful in getting our sale through. Highly recommend should you wish to buy or sell in future.

Many viewings, sold really quickly and the whole process was very smooth considering it was the first time we have ever sold a house!

Would definitely recommend.
