Really productive visit today to Wigan branch due to very helpful and knowledgeable customer service particularly from Mandi assisted me getting the right equipment I needed along with some great tips, I would highly recommend the Wigan branch and thank you to Mandi.

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable employees
I spent an hour at home trying to put 2 new 700-25c tyres on my bike, only to nip an inner tube and break 4 tyre levers ... And I consider myself handy when it comes to bicycles. In frustration, I went to the go outdoors in Wigan and Chris (the store manager) helped me. He worked up a proper sweat in getting the 2 tyres on, but did so with a smile and we chatted while he worked. He was a properly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable bloke. I cannot recommend enough!!!

It said that my order was available to…
It said that my order was available to same day click and collect, which is why I bought it from here, as I needed it the following day. I then got a message saying there was a stock error. I got no more messages updating me on progress, even when I chased it up twice. It was 11 days late. Not impressed. The below usless response. I sent 2 messages that were unanswered. Yes I have collected it 11 days late.

We are sorry to hear that you have not received an update in relation to your Click and Collect order status.
Upon reviewing your order we can see that your order was unfortunately delayed to which our customer care team contacted you to advise of. We can see that you raised a webform with us however from reviewing this whilst your enquiry was received an automated response was sent with self-service options and instructions on how to request further assistance. We appreciate that this did not provide the support you were looking for at the time.
We can also confirm that the order has been collected from the selected collection address on the 21st of September. We do hope you will allow us to improve upon the service received in the future.

Today I was buying new walking boots…
Today I was buying new walking boots for my 10 year old and Nikki was so helpful. She had tons of knowledge, listened and understood what we wanted. Helped my son find boots that fit and he felt comfortable with. Can't thank her enough. Didn't even have to ask she just sorted everything. Very thoughtful and respectful.
Would happily come back again for the next pair.

Asked Anthony for help with a camping cooker and gas bottle, the help we received was very professional he advised us and helped set it up. We used for the first time this weekend and was really satisfied .

We came in at around 7:20pm 17/08/26…
We came in at around 7:20pm 17/08/26 and was looking at tents. We didn’t get his name but the lad who helped us was so nice and made sure we knew about the 4 for £2 with the tent. He has short hair and a beard and was really good and got us everything we needed. Absolutely fantastic customer service and retail workers definitely deserve more recognition 👌🏽Thankyou again.

If I could do 6 stars I would !!! The shop manager Chris helped us with many queries and purchases from camping to bikes , his knowledge was excellent and his patience was brilliant, he even stayed late when his shift had finished to build us our grand daughters new bike , so to me that’s over and above his duties , excellent and well done Wigan go outdoors . I’d also like to say well done to the shop assistant lady from skelmersdale ( don’t know her name ) she helped us on buying jackets and clothing a credit to your company always smiling and great knowledge and advice on her subjects , we are over the moon with all our purchases and would recommend anyone to visit go outdoors Wigan as all the staff are great and products brilliant! Credit where it’s due , well done all the staff 6 stars not 5 👍
