We were helped by Olivia Rose who was brilliant, she sorted multiple pairs of boots, and kit our children.

Went into the Swindon branch for a particular type of fishing hook I know are sold. Met a great lad called Oliver. Really friendly and reduced my frustration that 2 weeks running the stock in the fishing tackle area is the same and really low. Still limited hooks.
Well done though to Oliver. Left happier than I would have done if we didn’t chat.

Went in looking for a new raincoat for Autumn, was more than happy with the selection. Lots of brands, styles and sizes. Bought a North Face jacket.

Darren was really friendly and helpful helping find suitable walking boots for my wife. Great choice of footwear at decent prices - i recommend shopping here.

I made an emergency visit to the store for a rug for my horse and Julie the assistant was so helpful. She went above and beyond to rummage the stock room to find me exactly what I needed.

The young gentleman that advised and served us on Saturday went above and beyond. We purchased a Freedom 700xl air nite tent. I would recommend this young gentleman and we always go to him

We were served in store today by Tom who was really kind and took the time to make sure we had what we needed, he was patient when we realised we needed an additional item and gave great customer service.

Poor service at the till.
Went there for DoFE shopping. A young person who helped us on the floor was amazing.
Another young person at the till (as: 24/23, till :01946 at 15.30) however was sighing at everything we said. They were limited to can we make a membership card and yhen telling address. He dropped the card in front of us. Kept sighing everytime he entered our address details on the system. Then he dropped the receipt instead of handing it to us. And he sighed at every step of the till process. I would be understanding, but he was very smiling and polite at customers before us and after us. Even my 13 year old, who was so happy that she got the sleeping bag she wanted, stopped smiling after being treated like this. I always stop and think if I am reading too much into a situation. However, after 17 years in the UK, I understand when people are rude towards me because I am not born here.

ROB on the fishing counter gave us some good advice on baits we needed for our 24hr fishing trip lately, subsequently in lead to my grandson landing is PB carp 24.6 lb

​I bought a bike on 27th August for my daily commute. Unfortunately, the bike was faulty so I took it back on 4th September.

The Bike Tech's ​initial repair attempt failed, but the Bike Tech assured me a part would be ordered, the repair completed, and that I would receive a call on Monday, 6th September to collect.

Monday passed with no update. When I called on Tuesday, 7th September, I was told the bike had not been repaired at all. I was then informed that the bike tech was actually on holiday until 22nd September, meaning there was no possible way it could have been ready on the 6th as promised. It would likely not be ready until 23rd September.

​To her credit, the manager, Alice, was very apologetic and arranged that I would get a refund (which is I believe in my rights as a customer anyway as product was faulty).

​My issue isn't that the product was faulty, it can happen. My issue is the poor service and lack of initiative:

​- The bike tech booked a repair date knowing they were going on holiday. Should have just said they couldn't fix it until 22nd or 23rd September, ordered the part and let me bring the bike back.
​- No one proactively called me on Monday to explain the delay; I had to chase them up.

​- Zero effort was made to resolve the problem proactively. They could have transferred the bike to another branch, brought in another bike tech from another store, outsourced the repair to an independent shop at their cost, or offered a replacement bike or offered a discount voucher as compensation which would be used with them in future, retaining my business.

​Apologies are appreciated, but they could have done so much more than the bare minimum. I'm without a Bike, they've lost future custom.

Amy was so patient and helpful when I bought my riding gear today. She offered great advice and thoughtful suggestions, making the whole experience a pleasure. Fantastic service.
