Staff were very helpful and honest about what I should and shouldn’t need on my trip to the lakes. Pete helped me pick out a great pair of boots and rucksack, amongst other bits and bobs.

The pros and cons were discussed when buying the tent and a member of the shop staff helped us transport the tent to the car. I would have difficulty doing this as I broke my back 9 years ago.

Nice and polite staff very helpful. Nothing was a problem when asking about prices and sizes and access to a changing area. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.

Just ask for Rose!
Needed sunglasses and a boot bag. Rose was really relaxed and very knowledgeable about the products. So nice to talk to a " grown up" who deals with you on a calm, genuine and professional manner. Would recommend to anyone!

Great Stafford store
Visited Stafford store and found assistants very helpful.
I tried on and purchased a lovely Peter Storm anorak at an excellent price.
I have had many comments about my purchase and have recommended the store to friends

I ordered some decently priced tackle…
I ordered some decently priced tackle online to be delivered to a local express outlet. I was advised it would be split over several packages but not that it wouldn't be delivered together. I was texted to say that it had arrived and to collect it before the close of business the next day ( implying that it wouldn't be held) so I made a special journey to the express store which doesn't have adjacent parking or free parking close. I arrived at the store to be told that (a) an item in the one package had "exploded" and covered everything in a pungent liquid which the staff had had to clean up which had caused them to feel sick (b) that not all the order had arrived. I had to accept that they refund me less than the amount of the liquid which was part of a "buy one get one free". They could not order me a replacement as no more stock could be found. A few days later I was advised by the delivery firm that they had picked up the second set of packages and that they would be delivering them that day between 9.05 and 10.05 and that they would need to be signed for. It did not say where they were delivering but I had to contact the firm to say I was not at home; only to be told that their delivery was not to my home but to the shop. More inconvenience because, although I did not want it delivered to home, I had to contact the delivery company and had no advice the second delivery had arrived at the shop from Go Outdoors themselves. I had to return to get the rest of the order. I felt that I was a bit of an inconvenience and that it was somehow my fault that the stuff went everywhere. The fault was with Go Outdoors NOT ME. If they packaged things right. If they offered compensation for their shortcomings. If they said sorry. I would be happier. On the plus side the kit is good.

Discount voucher could not be applied to purchases
We purchased goods and wanted to use a discount offer which had been received in the post . The lady at the till was unable to include the discount offer offering the explanation the items had already been reduced for members and so the system would not allow further discount to be applied. I cannot find anywhere on the discount voucher information to back this up. Disappointed as a member that no solution could be found.
The goods as always are first class
