Paul F. Made our visit very much worth it - we’ve traveled to camp in the New Forest, unfortunately our first night we realised our self inflating air mattress seemed to be leaking, despite being a couple days out of warranty Paul absolutely saved our whole trip and went above and beyond to find a way validly exchange it for a new one! - Thank you Paul 🙏🏻

Went in looking for a replacement pump for my paddleboard spoke with the guy on fishing bit and he radioed through to the manager Danielle who came and said she would look for me the she managed to find me one very helpful bought a members card while I was there too

We were looking for a new rucksack and other equipment for our son's DoE. Paul F approached us in a very friendly manner and guessed this is what were there for. He offered some extremely insightful tips on bag selection, other equipment to use and on the expedition itself, from his own experience. It was extremely useful to have Paul's time who was more than happy to make sure our son got what he needed and felt comfortable with it.

We found exactly what we were looking for and at a better price than expected. We did notice a small error on our receipt upon leaving the store. After going back inside we spoke to Paul. F, nothing was too much trouble in resolving our issue. A simple mislabelling was taken very seriously and resolved with a smile. We would also like to mention Chloe who asked a couple of times if we needed help but not in a pressurising way. We had a couple of questions which she answered calmly and professionally. For anyone thinking of going I would highly endorse the £5 outlay for the membership. It’s a 1 off payment and saved us about £300 on our trip £150 of which was on the tent alone as we were thinking of spending £300 at another popular outdoor store on an air tent, we found an air tent here the same size which was previous season so will be all gone now but still plenty below the £300 mark in air tents. Many thanks to Paul f, Chloe and the whole team. Our visit was about 2 weeks ago and still rings true in our heads as a great experience

Great advice from Paul F. Really helped us understand what we needed for DoE!

We went back yesterday to buy more items for my daughters expedition to Peru: we specifically went at the weekend as we knew Paul F would be there and he was. As always his knowledge and customer care were outstanding and we bought both the sleeping bag and rucksack that he took time to get right for her. He is one of the best members of staff I've been served by in any shop and just a shame he only works weekends!

What a fantastic shop - so much choice, stock and everything we needed. Special shout out to George on the tills - brilliant customer service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Spacious store. Didn’t feel crammed with items yet it had everything you need. It’s worth signing up to their membership scheme. It costs £5 but it gives you massive discounts. We had the help of one of their staff, PaulS who was very pleasant and when over and above to help us get what we needed. Will definitely return to this store.

I would firstly like to say, David is an incredible member of staff and he made our experience amazing from when we set foot in store!! He took the time to explain and help me with purchasing our new camping equipment!! Thank you again, us and our bright pink tent are very happy!!

Paul F was great, gave us a lot of chat and really keen to help. You didn't have enough items for me to complete my purchase, and my only gripe is that the website doesn't make it too obvious on how to use love2shop vouchers.

I went to collect an item from your Southampton store that I had ordered online.

I was directed to the collection point but nobody was in attendance. Having waited my wife went off to seek help. Having found two members of staff, she was ignored by one and the other walked towards the Collection counter without saying a word. When this gentleman arrived he was playing with a phone, gave me the item and walked off. No greeting or acknowledgement of our being there.

I recently came in to start getting myself kitted out for a three day hike in the Swiss Alps. I was fortunate to get some time with Paul F. who gave me such amazing advice and tips on buying a suitable backpack for my three day hike. Nothing was too much trouble and although I was unable to buy the pack model that best suited me as it was not in stock I learned sufficient tips to be able to buy it from an alternative supplier. Highly recommend seeking Paul F. out at the weekends, as that is when he works.

Shopping for DofE kit we were expertly advised by Paul F. Incredibly knowledgeable, approachable and generous with his time.
