Received a letter about a parking charge which was incorrect,phoned them and was sworn at and the guy was highly abusive and threatening, was told they were taking me to court even though I have tons of evidence, absolutely disgusting and seem very fraudulent

Scammers working alongside horizon parking who are also scammers, I’ve now had 4 parking fines for WORKING at Tesco Batley they just never stop! They say you can dispute it and then just say NO, it’s all about just taking money off normal working people it’s just disgusting.

Extremely disappointing. My correspondence was ignored, and there has been little regard for my son's disability or the impact this has had on him. Mediation is about what they want and no consideration or leeway! People that use this business for their parking should be ashamed of themselves.

Even when paying an agreed amount in response to a small claim action the firm still applies for judgement to be entered and adds an arbitrary £125 in additional legal costs to which they have no entitlement, causing one to have to pay a court fee of £313 to have it set aside. The court should not have approved the judgement when there is clearly no entitlement under the Small claims procedure.

Won’t help you, not interested in the evidence that you send them!

Scammers !!! Working for Horizon parking, trying to get money with zero evidence. Called this so called solicitors, the woman who answered didn’t have a clue and advised to press the link on the letter. I have reported Horizon to BPA and action fraud, will be doing the same with this company as this can not continue.

This company is nothing but a bunch of thugs using legal BS to try to force debt collection for other unscrupulous companies and has a well earned reputation for its shady practises .

Gladstones is one of the most unethical and duplicitous legal practices I have come across.

They are still claiming I owe them a parking fine for a place I have never been to in my life over three years ago. More concretely, they have oddly provided pictures of an underground car parking in London and allege I committed a parking contravention in Staffordshire, more than three years ago. Despite my challenge and protestations, they have refused to fully investigate their now fraudulent claim, and seem to want to double down on their misinformation and fraudulent malpractice.

Gladstone are simply a cowboy outfit who rely on threatening letters (of little legal substance), take months (often years) to respond to challenges and (as I have experienced) often rely on fraudulent and fake pictures to extort money from the general population.

Quite why our governments / public institutions have failed to regulate and provide oversight over these operations is a mystery. In the meantime, stand up to these bullies, who have very little interest in the legality and justification for their claims and are only interested in making easy money, often on the basis of spurious and fake evidence and empty threats.

From May 2023 to a new latter arriving today.

Did they hope I'd moved and therefore they could get to court without my knowledge and win? Seems odd they haven't corresponded in so long to suddenly send a letter after I made myself abundantly clear.

Gladstone, if you want the money, you need to have the guts to look a judge in the eye and say you think the invoice is reasonable.

I have the evidence that shows I paid on the day and I left before the ticket ran out. If you think that entitles you to money, crack on.

I will present my evidence in court, including a compliant Ringo ticket for the car parks name, town, date, and the time i was there, which I clearly complied with and left before the time lapsed.

Good luck arguing that you were somehow unjustly ripped off and require compensation.

Me on the other hand, if it goes to court, I'm claiming I have been massively inconvenienced.

I recall sorting a parking fee in zebedees yard Hull - but it’s a vague memory, BECAUSE I received the letter October 2025 - and the stated incident was APRIL 2022! Appalling company!
Is this even legal?
When I worked for the police there was a limited time to register a summons, but sold seem to be above that..I will search for my evidence a £3 payment- they’re asking for £155 😤

Horrible firm! They are trying recover cost for a parking fine that was challenged and drop over a year ago! The legal assistant don’t know what they are doing, as they are trying to override the court and scam people to pay these fines. Disgusting behaviour, they deserve 0 star to be honest not 1!

I’d give a zero if I could, I don’t know how a company like this can operate and exist as they are. Aggressive bullies hunting for any scrap of money they can threatening you with court, extra fines and then a CCJ, pathetic. A £3 parking fee turned into a £300 fine, how it is allowed is beyond me. Disgusting behaviour from a disgusting company that I’d say has as many real ‘solicitors’ as the local unemployment line has.

I paid off the money last year to dcbl and they sent me letters now saying I have to pay this outstanding debt again why you guys are harassing people should someone needs to sue this solicitor company

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Gladstones Solicitors has been nothing short of appalling. The staff I dealt with were shockingly rude, dismissive, and utterly lacking in empathy. It felt like I was speaking to machines programmed to ignore basic human decency.
Communication was cold and robotic, with no effort to understand or support my situation. Their conduct raised serious concerns—not just about professionalism, but about whether they operate with any ethical standards at all. I genuinely questioned whether their practices were even lawful at times.
If you're looking for compassion, competence, or even basic courtesy, look elsewhere. This firm seems to thrive on intimidation and indifference. I would never recommend them to anyone and strongly urge others to steer clear.

In relation to a parking charge which I never received from the original parking company. Pleaded and fought to get the charge from £150 back to the original £70 and was told no. They do not care what anyone has to say and straight up disregarded my emails, even though their clients Horizon Parking do not give the same fair opportunity to everyone! & Even though I was assured the matter was on hold while disputing, I have been told I can no longer do a payment plan due to "the late stage" also was told "we will not accept any further submissions from you" so I can no longer fight even if I wanted to! horrible demeaner, and that's not just because of the line of work they are in! as soon as you google them the first thing that comes up is "Gladstones Solicitors scam" all you need to know really.

Paid as soon as possible because I was scared. I told them I didn't understand the breakdown of the costs they had issued me, and asked them to explain. Because I had already paid, I was told by Jules, their Director of Client & Business Relations, that they have closed my case and they would now ignore future emails from me.

Scamming company,pretence that fine is overdue. When did not attempt to contact prior.

Sent me a letter claiming I owe £150 in unpaid parking tickets for a car park that is free. Sent no information explaining what I apparently did wrong.

Very friendly and helpful receptionists, but the "professional" let this firm down. If you’re a man falsely accused of domestic abuse, beware – this firm operates with the ideological mindset of modern feminism, treating men as guilty by default. Appalling and fully deserving of its low reviews.
