Totally disconnected and disjointed in their internal operations. Store team confirms product is available, can be picked up from the warehouse. Warehouse doesn’t have the product and says it’s still in transit. Then wait for hours/days for them get a clarity of it reached the warehouse or not.

Paid almost $3k for a gas range
Paid almost $3k for a gas range. Provided measurements and pictures and scheduled installation 2.5 weeks later. The installer immediatley, within seconds told me he couldn’t install. Had sales and delivery communicated, perhaps I’d have what I paid for.
The sales person and manager took more than a day to tell me that they could install 2 weeks later, because apparently only one person in the Philadelphia area is qualified to install this gas range. This company has decades of experience, and they know ONE GUY. Or, more likely, they were too lazy or cheap to look for alternatives bc it was me holding the bag.
Their solution was that I could pay a few hundred dollars more for a different product I didn’t want. They literally suggested they could do it if I paid more.
Avoid this company at all costs.

Exceptional Customer Service and Great Prices
This is the second appliance I have purchased from Gerhard's in the last year. I was happy to go back after having a great experience the first time. I worked with Sally (Malvern location) both times, who I highly recommend. She is extremely knowledgeable, organized and friendly. She was able to answer all my questions and had great feedback on the items I was looking at from both a functional and aesthetic standpoint. Gerhard's is my go to store for appliances as I know I get exceptional customer service and great prices.
Horrible customer service
We purchased a new LG washer and dryer from Gerhard Appliances in Glenside on November 17, 2021, delivered on November 30. Due to the location of the dryer in the home, a side-vented dryer was needed. The LG dryer we purchased could be side-vented. We were assured multiple times that the dryer would be side-vented and ready to install prior to delivery - that was not the case. Calling customer service was frustrating to say the least. I received a number to call to set up an installation date for December 9th. That, however, was just to have the dryer side-vented, not actually installed. More phone calls - this time we were told it would all be taken care of on the 9th. We received a phone call on Tues, Dec 7 asking if I wanted to go to the warehouse and pick up the side vent installation kit - unbelievable. Silly us, we were under the impression that the authorized LG repair person would bring the kit with him/her. Another call to the store to customer service, asking for help - left a message asking for a return call. That call was ignored. We decided it was truly not worth the frustration and aggravation dealing with a company who, after purchasing products from them, offer no real solutions/help - you are left on your own to solve the problems they created. We will be dealing directly with the LG company to get the dryer properly installed . Another call to Rosa in customer service requesting a refund for the side vent kit ($70) and the installation of said kit ($139.99). She stated she couldn’t help, transferred my call. Surprisingly, (not really), that person couldn’t help, asking me why I was transferred to him, who then transferred me to another person. Liam, the final person I spoke with, was the only person who was helpful and stated he would begin the refund process. We decided to purchase the washer and dryer from an actual appliance store since we needed a dryer that could be side-vented - mistakenly thinking that would be the best. There is absolutely no way that we would ever purchase another appliance from Gerhards.
Washer & Dryer Debacle
Horrible experience!
Washer and dryer were delivered on 11/22, but b/c of a screw-up the dryer was not vented properly, so another appointment was necessary – which was finally scheduled for – maybe – December 2. But note that December 2 is just step 1 to move the dryer vent to the right side. Then another appointment is necessary to install the dryer which has yet to be scheduled. Looks like this process will take three or more weeks after the delivery of the washer and dryer to make washing and drying possible. I am now farming out laundry to friends and relatives. In no way is this acceptable.

They Lie About Your Warranty Coverage
I would give them a zero if Trustpilot would let me. We renovated our kitchen and bought all new appliances from Gerhard's. We made the mistake of buying their extended warranty. A couple years later, something went wrong with the oven, so I called them to activate our warranty. They told me that we had covered everything but the oven, which seemed odd to me, but the appliances had been delivered to my contractor to install, so I had no receipt showing me what was covered, so I had to take their word for it. A few months later, we had issues with the microwave, so I called them to get it fixed. The person I talked to this time told me that we'd covered everything (including the oven) except the microwave. I had them check multiple times and each person now gave the story that we'd covered everything but the microwave. We dealt with the microwave repair, as we had with the oven, on our own. We did send them the bill for our oven repair since they were now saying it was covered. Almost a year later, we have not been reimbursed. Now, I get a mailing from their warranty company New Leaf, telling me that my warranty is going to expire soon and don't I want to renew it. The mailer lists all the covered appliances, which include both my oven AND microwave.
Gerhard's Frigidaire Refrigerator Defect
We purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in February 2021. After we received the refrigerator we noticed the double doors were not aligned properly and were off by 1/4 inch. Gerhards sent six service technicians. We asked after the second service call for a new refrigerator and they gave us a two year warranty instead. We are very frustrated and paid over $2K full price. We keep getting the run around from Fast Appliance and Gerhard's and no one is taking responsibility. Gerhard's hopes we go away and accept the defect. We will definitely NEVER do business with Gerhard's again. Gerhard's does not care about their customers. Costco or Amazon would have resolved the issue quickly and to the customer's satisfaction!!
My experience with Nicole Powell over…
My experience with Nicole Powell over the phone was exceptional. Needed a side by side refrigerator to replace one that went kaput. She provided and showed what options were available to get a replacement ASAP. Everything went as smooth as possible. Also kudos to the delivery/installation team of Steven and Raiko. Their efficient service was first class. This was my first dealing with Gerhard, and will definitely keep them in mind if a new appliance is needed in the future.

I can’t give it 5 stars because we haven’t received our refrigerator yet. But, I have confidence considering the sales rep, Nicole P. Who helped us was good. No hard sale tactics. We went in with something in mind and she addressed all our questions easily. We gave Gerhard’s a try based on other reviews. We are scheduled for a delivery for next week; other local dealers said we’d have to wait 2 months for delivery AND their prices were higher than Gerhard’s.

My experience with Gerhards was exceptional. We ordered our appliances with Pete S. He was extremely knowledgeable and ordered us exactly what we were looking for. He kept us informed every step of the way. From the time we ordered to the time of delivery. We knew exactly what was going on. No guessing on our part. Pete followed through on all of our inquiries and updated us constantly. Extremely prompt and courteous.
As far as delivery goes, Ron and Anthony were two great guys. They were friendly, courteous and hard working. They delivered our appliances like they were their own. We will definitely make future purchases through Gerhards and recommend them to friends and family.
Customer service is a standout. From the warehouse to our house. Great experience.

We purchased 4 appliances from Gerhard’s for a kitchen remodel. We paid full price for an expensive stove on September 2 which was finally delivered February 5. We were not upset about the long delivery time as things slowed down with Covid BUT communication was poor throughout the process. At one point I asked to speak to our sales person’s (Nicole Powell) supervisor who is Linda Gerhard. She assured us everything would go well with the stove delivery even though the refrigerator delivery had damaged our brand new random width, real wood floor in December. Besides damaging the wood floor, the delivery man actually threw the metal hand truck out the door onto our patio with no regard to where it landed. My husband and 1, along with 2 of our contractors were there for the delivery and we all saw what happened. Our sales person asked for us to send photos of the damage and a bill for the repair. Weeks went by with our phone calls not returned and then we finally got an email from Anthony Paolucci, the delivery manager, saying “ I am sorry to inform you, but my contractor is denying this damage claim. He dropped off the unit in December 2020. We did not move the unit once it was dropped. This definitely looks like it was damaged by your contractors or the people who installed this sub zero for you. You can tell by the marks on the floor that they were made once this unit was being moved.” Not true. When I have called… and emailed… both Nicole Powell and Linda Gerhard to get this resolved, I got no reply. When the stove was delivered the accompanying French plaque which was a separate purchase arrived in a torn and crushed box with the plaque chipped in many places. Before it was loaded on the delivery truck, ANYONE seeing the box would know they should check in the box to see if there was damage. This meant another month to wait on a replacement. In addition, the stove which was supposed to include a conversion kit to covert from gas to propane was delivered mid afternoon on a Friday with no kit. Several of us (delivery men, our contractors) spent a hour looking through all the packaging for the kit. The stove couldn’t be installed by our waiting contractors without the kit. I called Gerhard’s and was told Nicole was busy with a customer (as usual) but I insisted we had a delivery problem and needed help late on a Friday afternoon. She said our contractor could come to the showroom and get the floor model’s kit. This solved the problem but meant additional time for our contractor and late installation. We now have our 4 appliances and plaque. But we can not get a return call or even response to an email about our floor damage. No acknowledgement that several things about our purchases have not been handled well.

Nicole did a wonderful job of assisting us in the purchase of a new dishwasher. Knowledgeable about the model we were interested in and walked us through the procedure from purchase to what to expect prior to and after installation. Highly recommend and Gerhard's has gained a customer for future purchases.
