We were contacted by Steven Gambrell a representative from Fensa regarding an issue with one of our customers who had new double glazing installed by my company.
I would like to take the time to thank him personally for the way he has handled the case and in resolving our customers issue and concerns. The help and advice from him we have had has been very professional, courteous and competent.
I can say its been a great pleasure to speak to a person who knows his job and can put a course of action in place to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. Best wishes from all of our members of staff

Adrian, the technical supervisor, was incredibly helpful, letting me know what the law is regarding trickle vents, room ventilation and building regulations. He helped my determine what my rights are, in a situation that could become quite stressful. He definitely went above and beyond, and he really knows his stuff.

I honestly couldn't be more impressed with the service I have received from Adrian Jones @FENSA. I had a slight dispute with one of their registered installers and was hugely impressed with the support Adrian gave me to resolve it. He's clearly vastly experienced and extremely technical. He spent time explaining things to me in great detail until I fully understood and could appreciate the situation more fully which, in the end, completely changed my perspective on things. In my opinion he went above and beyond in terms of providing, what has turned out to be, a very valuable service. I definitely would only ever use a FENSA approved installer for windows and doors going forward because of the safety net it provides. Thanks Adrian!

I am fed up. It’s now been 3 months since I’ve beeen dealing with Fensa. I installed my windows and doors since June with a company called Right price doors and windows. Biggest mistake of my life. Since then, I have learn from other companies that the windows and doors needed Steel lentils. I spoke to the company immediately. Right price windows and doors disagree and insisted that the install was correctly fitted.
I contacted Fensa to intervene, they said I needed to pay a structural engineer to show proof of this. I have provided a paid structural engineer’s report since 1 month and still have not received a resolution. This company is fraud. They keep saying they are waiting for a technical manager to advise.
Rubbish, the windows and doors need to be FIX or a FULL refund provided. This company is supposed to protect the consumer instead they work with the Company that pays them which is Right price window.
I am dealing with Stephen Gambrell from Fensa and Brin Purwa from Right price windows and door company.
I gone through anxiety, deep depression and lost so much money as my project remain still. No resolution or response.

I am an Installer and have been registered with Fensa for over 20 years and they never cease to amaze me as they just do not care about either their members of the consumer and just use us as a cash cow. I am only a small company and should have 2 inspections per year which chargeable at nearly £200 a pop.
This year so far Fensa have actually managed to do 5 Inspections on my company for no reason whatsoever at a cost of nearly a grand. I have spoken to lots of people at Fensa to try and get this sorted out but don’t seem to be taken seriously or there is always an excuse that the person dealing with it is on the sick. These people who run this organisation have not got a clue as they also failed 2 of my installations earlier on this year due to the inspector not giving a monkeys about how to clarify the thermal efficiency of the job done. It turned out Fensa have started moving the goal posts on how you need to clarify compliance on an installation.
More to the point I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the 3 inspections charged to my account. All I get is it’s getting sorted but unfortunately without any action.
Fensa should not be allowed to just do as they please and empty my bank account with Inspections that should not be happening because of their mistakes.
I am quickly beginning to loose my patience and respect for this organisation as they do not seem to care about consequences to members or the public.
Very very disappointed.

I wasn't holding too much hope but when I called I spoke to a very polite and knowledgeable man, I explained my concerns about my windows and he understood immediately and explained why I should not be concerned and told me what I need to do if I have any more questions. Very supportive thank you.

If they believe that windows don’t need to fit in the window cavity then they should be struck off!
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AS THEY WILL ALWAYS SIDE WITH THE COMPANY THAT PAYS THEM!!

Only in existence to please their paymasters, they have absolutely no care for customers or that a company is not compliant with building regulations.
I have a FENSA useless certificate that allegedly covers me against failures to follow building regulations (this is a self certified inspection by the installer….that’s a laugh) so, even though I have an independent report from RISA that states the windows are not compliant with building regulations, FENSA refuses to follow this up with Anglian windows, their reasoning is: That I am not interested in allowing Anglian to return and make an even bigger mess of the install.
FENSA is a government backed CPS scheme and should be in existence to protect customers and to ensure the installation companies maintain FENSA’s high standards. This is only true if you allow the company to have an opportunity to make an even bigger mess than they’ve done already.
Compliance with building regulations is second fiddle to allowing cowboy companies to wreck your house even more than they’ve done so already.
FENSA will come up with any excuse possible so that they avoid having to contact their paymasters (members) - Customers are unimportant to them as we don’t pay their wages…..TOTAL WASTE OF TIME.

I spoke with the most lovely woman today. She was fun, kind and extremely helpful. Her generosity in helping me locate my lost Fensa certificate was above and beyond. A joy to speak to her. Never received my certificate, chased my installer multiple times. When I contacted Fensa they told me it was £25 for a duplicate. Poor experience.
Having had some new double glazed windows installed we took up the offer of a “free FENSA inspection”. Inspector turned up and said we were none compliant with the building regs as windows weren’t vented. I told him that we had only had 20% of windows changed and vents were not necessary. He poo pooed this and reported it as a none compliance and said my installers would need to put in vents. I would not let the installers drill my new windows so then got a threat from FENSA of sending in the Council Building Inspector (at a cost to me).
When I argued with FENSA HQ that I had changed less than the 30% of windows referred to in the Building Regs they agreed with me and admitted that their inspector was wrong.
All in all a lot of my wasted time and very unprofessional inspector.
My learning from this is; never invite inspectors round to your house!
FENSA don't do anything on the inspection other than check the glass with a device, does it have a safety and fire bracket. FENSA don't check the size, fitting quality and help to stop any potential damp issues.
I was told they would report an issues to the window company and they would reinspect but not heard anything for months.
Don't trust the recommendations if you are planning to upgrade. FENSA certificate is not worth the paper it's printed on.
I contacted FENSA Spoke to a lovely Gentleman by the name of Stephen Gambrell.All my issues was listened to and dealt with promptly without any problems. I found him very helpful indeed and very informative. Wish there was more people like him out there when dealing with a company.

What a pig headed company. Assume complaints is a complaint against a window company and not against FENSA. No phone no for this helpful Heather that other people have found or anyone else for that matter to help people having difficulties ordering certificates.- only an email link which I hope they use if someone on their staff needs an ambulance.
