I ordered a Longines watch on your website and upon entering my payment details, it said the order was unsuccessful. I attempted to purchase again with a different payment card and upon completion, received two confirmation emails about my orders (it appeared both payments had been taken).

When both watches arrived, I took one watch in store to be returned (as per the recommendation on the returns slip) and was in store for a total of 35 minutes attempting to return an item which should have been a standard returns process. Both the store assistant and the assistant manager asked to see my bank statements to ensure I had been charged twice, despite me having both order confirmation slips complete with separate order numbers and separate payment methods so it was very clear I had been charged twice.

The store assistant then processed the return incorrectly so I had to leave the store, wait to be contacted to confirm if my return, and therefore the transfer of funds back to me had gone through correctly.

As expected, it transpired the payment had not gone back onto my card and I had to visit the store again, 2 days later to have the payment refunded to my card.

What was initially an online error and would only have been an online complaint has led to this lengthy review due to instore incompetence, highlighting a lack of training on returns processes of your staff. For any future Ernest Jones purchases I certainly won't be visiting this store.

I had to return my wedding band as it had 'broken' - it was sent for repair but could not be repaired as I was told it was a faulty ring. An identical replacement ring was sourced and apart from the sentimental aspect of not wearing my original ring I was very happy with the service and communication received from Karen and also the girl who assisted me in the shop but unfortunately I cannot remember her name.

Ordered earrings one day and they were available for collection the next day.

Collection was quick and easy.

Would be confident in ordering gifts from website again.

I purchased a Swarovski pen as a gift for my sister graduating. I made payment with my card and after payment was made and my first receipt was provided the till shstem went down. I was told to wait until they sorted issue with IT. I waited for 20 minutes only to have a staff member tell me I had to make the payment again. I explained to the staff member that the money had already been debited from my account and showed my online banking details as evidence, they assured me however that this hadn’t came off and I had to make they payment again and I wouldn’t be double charged. I proceeded to make payment again as requested and left the store with multiple reassurances from staff I wouldn’t be charged twice. However after waiting a week both transactions had cleared on my account and I was in fact charged twice. I therefore had to take time out of my day to drive back to the store to resolve the issue. The manager that I spoke to on the day refunded the money but made me wait for a further 15 minutes to clarify it with IT, leaving me feeling like the authenticity of my complaint was being called into question despite providing bank statements as evidence. The manager in question was also not apologetic about the ordeal at all, one other member of staff who appeared to be a new start was apologetic, but the manager who was present at both instances didn’t apologise once for what I had to endure. I am furious in the manner I have been treated and that I have had to inconvenience myself in order to correct an error that was not of my doing.

The store manager Gillian was fantastic. She reserved the bracelet for us and we collected the following day. She cleaned my engagement ring for me and was just so kind and friendly… brilliant shopping experience for a special piece of jewellery for my wedding day. Thank you

Was dealt with quickly but not too quick to allow me time to look round. The assistant was lovely and answered any questions I had with honesty and a smile.
All in all a pleasurable shopping experience.

I shopped at the braehead branch. I saw a beautiful Olivia Burton watch in the window display and I thought I would treat myself, as I've worked hard during this pandemic and I'm good to myself like that. I went in thee store a bit apprehensivly due to 30% covid has changed how thinks now work and 70% fancy shop nerves. This store esp seemed like a posh jewellery store and I look very casual and average Joe (think that's scene from pretty woman haha) however the shop assistant (male, around mid 30s-40s) greeted me and was very pleasent and funny and this put myself and my husband at ease. I asked to try on the watch and it looked stunning. When I purchased it, I'm not sure if this is normal practice but the assistant set the correct time on it which I thought was a thoughtful touch. I would defo buy something from this shop again and would highly recommend that lovely store assistant, whom I can't remember his name.
I was torn between a fit bit and my Olivia Burton watch but you can't beat craftsmenship.

Very pleased with my purchase, which was a ring and earrings. The girls who served me were really helpful and nice. The ring had to be sized and they kept me informed on the process and how long it would take.
Overall a very nice experience.

As my husband uses a powered wheelchair the manager made our visit to store extremely hassle free from arrival to departure

I went into the jewellers looking for something special and that’s what I came away with. I was treated so well, nothing was too much trouble. All staff were kind, friendly and professional. Beautiful jewellery in store. In fact, it was all so nice I came away with more than one special piece! I will definitely be back.

I am very pleased with my purchase, the staff SANDRA and Kyle really went out of their way to help, I never felt pressured in any way and will definitely return their in the future.
