Nasty nasty company that bully and bully you will be making a complaint to the regulation company!!! Speak to your debtor as they will help you these people are scum.

I spoke to a disgusting woman who clearly was never loved by her father, so heartless. A woman that I hope does not have children would hate to think what type of mother she would be. Council tax arrears due to no fault of my own and she basically told me to pay up otherwise she will 'search and search' until she finds me. No idea how this is not illegal.

Illegal and Unlawful Law Enforcement Agent operating its services with a expired WARRANT for for the council as the creditors!

As a vulnerable person this enforcement agency or it's so called experienced agents do not care, all they want is money, commission and payment at any cost. They will lie, manipulate the truth and mislead you at any cost, assuming they think we don't know anything or have knowledge because we are vulerable.

I have reported this enforcement agent to Civil Enforcement Association (CIVEA) as they are members of this association. BEWARE of the scams, intimidation and false laws being applied by this enforcement agent, they confirmed and sent numerous texts to me stating they will be coming "shortly" to enter property and seek possession of goods, all that on the back off a expired WARRANT!

Had I not called the court (TEC) provided a reference/PCN I would not of known otherwise.

To exacerbate the situation the enforcement agent challenged me to say SHE was right, despite me stating what you are intending or have done is unlawful! BUT OH no SHE had to be right!

Soon after the case was sent back to the council after I called them and informed what was happening, get a call from Equita advisor who said sorry!, but only to receive a email from them to say NOT their fault they were operating lawfully as the council afield to report it to them about the expired WARRANT!

Seems like now both parties will be blaming each other!, oh well it does not matter what they put anyone like me through.

Appalling and unprofessional and Fraudsters. Be Careful, do your due diligence and seek help, check with the court regarding any Warrant as clearly this company and its acting agents are not trustworthy.

Spoke to a agent yesterday trying to resolve the matter was understanding and then today was absolute rude and quite the opposite. Trying to bully me in to another £235 for coming and trying to add another £110 if he had to come back tomorrow. Maybe find agents who can work with clients rather than bully them into paying extra.

The company do not need improvement, they just need to change. They are scammers, defrauding people and adding other people’s debts into our own debts and they then go to court and lie to get some money into their pockets. I received 4 letters within 2 days, threatening me with enforcement despite me paying. They are allergic to listening, checking their systems and correction, but when it comes to chasing, calling and threatening people that’s when their barbaric attitudes shows

Absolutely vile company they have doubled my payment knowing I am on pip for severe epilepsy taking a big chunk of my pip and demanded my bank statements the people on the phone are awful this company needs shaming

Disgusting Company!

Had an unaware debt over 2 years ago and I moved house they didn't bother to try and call or text me but just sent 2 letters of 2 years to my old address. I then got a text message today to say final notice. I had no idea who or what it was for so I phoned them and explained I hadn't had the car for over 1.5 years and not lived at the address for over 2 years. Not bothered they replied. all they said was its not our job to call or text you and if you don't update your address with us it's your own fault. how can I update my address to a company I didn't know even needed me?

Debt went from £120.00 to £500 over the span of 2 letters even though I had not received them. I will also be speaking to the court to raise the matter of court information going to the wrong address for the CCJ.

Final words: This company will happily sit on a debt increasing the value until they reach the £500 then they will make direct contact to you to enforce.

I think its a disgusting method and quite frankly terrible morals.

I have never and never would insist on wishing death upon on anyone but this company deserves to go back to plague days and catch it all.

Spoken to an advisor called Jack who was utterly rude and unhelpful talking over my voice and muttering under his voice. Very provocative intimidating and unaccommodating. He did his utmost to make an argument and have a street slag match. Avoid this firm and report it immediately. This advisor then hanged up on call.

I've had a bad experience with his company today 20/12/2024 my mum recently passed and lost my job, this company said it was trained in customer welfare? You could have fooled me, putting pressure for me to pay money I can't afford over arrears in council tax ,all because I got my first payment date wrong,? I've paid the 2 months, to be honest too much to right why arr councils awarding these companies with contracts, with a welfare department and their individual training not fit for purpose, I've sent recently emails of calls I've made to this company today

Lower than a snakes belly. Uneducated pond slime company and staff. Crooked to the core. Use illegal tactics to extort money from you. I’ll see you in court !

Who has a 30 day response time to requests.
Seeking legal action as I write this.

They don’t even deserve a rate ,bunch of miserable,unprofessional,unhappy and nasty behaviour.
They are quick to send letters out to make threats about removing good ,I have made a payment of £500 October they didn’t even have me the change to reduce it,when I asked for a receipt for that payment the miserable man behind the phone told me he can’t issue a receipt because I haven’t paid the full amount even though I have paid mor than Half,yesterday I made the test of the payment which was £276 I asked for a receipt for for payment made to be sent to my email adress the idiot is telling me that there not saying I have requested before and he will issue the receipt right away to me .
I have waited 3/3 hours and dis nor received any receipt I called several times and they see the calls and no pickup up .
All calls I have made to this company has been recorded.sort your selfs out bunch of ridiculous ppl

Absolutely vile company. They set up a payment plan, you stick to it and then out of the blue say you have broken the arrangement, when you have not and can prove it!!! They send an agent round with threats and they text threats or shout abuse down the phone when you say it’s wrong. Bullying vulnerable women that have mental health that they are aware of. Disgusting human beings. If you can call them that.

Should be an option to leave a negative star experience. Awful company - rude, unprofessional, aggressive, and borderline unethical treatment from Equita. Tried to call the help line but they immediately transferred me back to Mr Mascot - who proceeded to shout at me.... This company should not be allowed to operate and shame on Plymouth City Council for employing them. Have now paid by Bank Transfer as so terrified - hope they don't turn up tomorrow - have instructed poorly daughter to ring the police if he turns up...

We need to expose and close down this company. Scams!!!!

I cannot believe the unprofessional, aggressive, and borderline unethical treatment I’ve received from Equita.

I owed my child’s school £2,220 for unpaid fees. The school sold the debt to Equita, and we agreed on a manageable repayment plan of £50 per month. I paid diligently for two years, without missing a single payment, contributing over £1,200 towards the debt.

Out of the blue, an enforcement officer showed up at my door demanding full payment of £2,490.50, claiming interest had been added. This was never communicated to me, and I was blindsided by the increase in the debt amount. Despite my consistent payments, it seems my efforts were entirely disregarded.

The enforcement officer was aggressive, rude, and even threatened me with imprisonment if I didn’t pay immediately. When I tried to resolve the issue by contacting their office, the person I spoke to was even worse—condescending, dismissive, and completely lacking in basic decency.

This company operates in a manner that is nothing short of predatory, causing unnecessary trauma to people already in vulnerable financial situations. Their approach is cruel, and their tactics border on harassment.

I am shocked that a company like this is allowed to operate in such a way, terrorizing people who are making genuine efforts to clear their debts. Avoid Equita at all costs. A campaign should be put forward to revoke their licence. They are unethical and vile in the way and manner they operate. We owe money and should not be treated worse that criminals.

They do not answer the calls, and there is no email correspondence

I went from a payment plan of £40 wk to all of sudden just by a phonecall of Mr Ramscar at Equita to now £90 wkly no question or negotiation nothing, just you gotta pay this or you will go to prison. Im single mom on Uni Cred & this is crippling me

the equita bailiff who received an order from Lambeth Council wanted to take the car from a homeless person who has been living in the car since April 17, 2023, equita is breaking the law, from my knowledge the bailiff has no right to take the car that serves as a home or take the tools that ponsgsja uses to earn money to survive, (the person has health problems) sticker on the car was equita …

Was gone write the name down, anyway.This old man came and knocked last week, I came He said I’m owing money and I need to pay it now, I rang their office a lady was so mean, she transferred me to the same Guy who came to my house and he said don’t waste your time calling our office, you need to pay it now.I I rang council and they said not to worry tell them that it’s resolved, but he kept saying you are wasting your time we are coming there, He’s been texting me saying pay now.8 missed calls from a person not even the office.Awful 😡

For a £100 bill they added £385 in charges.
An agent was supposed to ring me after months of contact instead he turns up to my house and added the £235 fees when i challenged him about it he first said that i was bullsh*ting and then when he realised i was telling the truth his answer was oh i was on holiday. Pure bully tactics and I fear for others out there.
Im convinced the positive reviews are fake!
A shocking company with low-life individuals working there.
