When I was contacted originally we agreed I would pay a pound a week as I couldn't afford much more. 4 years on I get an a/hole on the phone threatening to remove my goods that day if I didn't make a better offer. I was able to up my payments and now am clear.. I was also given bad advice that I can pay in the council tax Web site which they don't accept... Just awful people

Force me to pay the enforcement fee when I don’t own any debt on council tax. They keep saying I have pay the council tax after the notice of enforcement (which is not true ) and is not related to council and still enforcement fee £75 out of standing plus visits fee £235. I shown them the proof of payment (which I pay when the council tax invoice out and council emails. And that enforcement agent (J. Byrne ) still not believe me and keep forcing me to pay £310. Otherwise they will take my things. In the end I pay the £310 to them. Lucky the council refund the £310 as they say I did pay my council tax on time as is their mistake not updating the account properly.

“Agent” extremely unprofessional and put the phone down on me when I tried to explain I couldn’t pay in full straight away. I tried to call back and they refused to answer.

We paid them, they denied it. Even after they paid us back they claimed we'd never paid. Nasty people. Stupid staff. Absolute scumbags.,

Absolutely appalling customer service. Staff bully you and lie to you in order to obtain payments. But now that I proved that I did not owe, I am being told that I am still liable for their fees.
WHAT FEES? THEY WERE WRONGFULLY DEMANDING MONEY!

This company are a pack of Bullies not interested in listening to your reasons for not paying hard to believe they are able to trade with their ethics reported my concerns with ombudsman and trading standards my rights as a UK citizen

The agent spoke to me like I was a child very unprofessional screaming like a banshee this company need investigating as I feel certain they have falsified information and possibly somehow deleted conversations and phone calls from their system given I have called on a number of a occasions then yesterday I get told I’ve made no contact with them since October 2024 funny because I’ve been on the phone to them most of April and even before that but mysteriously they have no record of any calls being made to them. I think they get away with far more than they should be allowed to very bully boy tactics being played I feel feel sorry for anyone having to deal with them as I truly feel sickened by the whole experience with them

This company is the scum of the earth . They recently changed hands r went into some kind of problem . they stop taken payment , and as i knew how under handed they were i tried to contact them but they didn’t have a phone for ages . I got in contact with the balif directly , and even he said they r a doggie company and could’nt get paid . Fast forward 4 months later they left a mes on my phone no letter nothing . i only stumble on it by chance , when i called to say i could pay 90%today and the rest in 5 days
I was told if i didn’t pay it all now they would charge me 200. for a outstanding balance of. £ 26.00

The agent spoke to me like I'm a criminal,I just received a call from equita with this agent number, the next thing I'm paying more money without any explanation about the rate.I called this guy to tell him that I want to make a half payment today and a half payment next month ,this guy was so rude unprofessional and above all he's not inglese ,with that his bad accent of Pollish or Romanian ,after everything he still insisted that I pay all money, these people are thieves, scammers, rude but never forget that no one is above the law even them if you need involve the police do because these people are animals not human and show them that we're in the UK.

Not everybody is a scammer a lot of people have genuine reasons for non payments
Something needs to be done about these people threatening texts telling you to ring and no answer, and they don’t answer because their payment is larger if it goes further.
How can people believe in their council if they use monkeys like this disgraceful

I missed one month payment they added on £335 for sending an enforcement agent, I proved that the agent never came via cctv and it was fraud to charge me for something they hadn't done they were forced to remove the stage 2 fees but still havent removed the stage 1, I won't be paying the £75. Watch out for them don't let them think they are above the police and intimidate you

dont know where to start tbh , i was made homeless after 13 yrs living in rented accommodation , because i have a disabled son i was granted temp accom , right thje house i was suppose to have after that was terrible , but, was to sign as i woulnt be offered anything else , etc . cutting a long story short these cretins wouldntexcept a payment plan this is after one note shoved through my door , which i phoned ttrying to set up a payment plan , he said it wasnt accectable a MR fritz anyway i got a text message saying "removel of goods" phone this number , which i did , his name was sam , anyway he said no , no its gone beyond that its removal of goods, to which i said well good luck with that , he then said why do you say that , i said because ive got nothing , he said ill see when i come round , it is deliberate non negation so they can screw more money out of you . god i truly feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with these , oh and by the way he said i was harassing

Bullies!!! Nothing more absolute joke the customer service team are nothing but abusive bullies that tried to terrorise my disabled mother who is also mentally unwell lucky she has the kids she does telling my mother how she would be surprised with what they can do and get away with. I dont take threats like that likely so im awaiting the visit of them ;)

Spoke to a very rude and unprofessional Molly on the 31st March 2025.

Imagine calling and asking them to help you understand the statement that they had sent to my email only to be inform that they have been on the phone for 20mins. It is not my fault that it lacked the understanding to deal with a query that it clearly has no experience in. Why be in a customer service role if one do not have the etiquettes and patience to deal with customer queries? It is beyond me! Honestly, she is a reflection of the company so you can just imagine what the rest is like. Disgraceful!

These Vermin are the most disgusting people. The way they speak to you is vile. Their rude and abrupt. They have absolutely no matters at all. It's about time somethings done about them. If they had better manners they'd get so much more respect.

Very rude unfriendly and not trained staff. Spoke as if he has been on drugs . Very difficult to understand. No consideration or care. As if speaking to a drug addict .

Shocking company, send council tax demands to my address for a property elsewhere that is nothing to do with me.

Threatening court action and bailifs for a debt that has nothing to do with me.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, these people have made my life a misery! I had a council tax debt I didn't know about as had moved house and letters had gone to previous address, I got a threatening letter dated 2 weeks prior saying I needed to pay them the full amount of over 3k or the baliffs would be coming out, the date of payment needed was littlerly the day I received the letter, I called and tried to sort this out and was met with the rudest most unsympathetic threatening person on the phone who basically told me if I didn't pay in full id have enforcement agent at my door, I explained this was the first I'd heard, I don't have this kind of money and tried to organise a payment plan I could afford, they flatly refused this and said the least they could take was 10% of the amount owed! I work part time due to health issues and am a full-time unpaid carer for elderly parents.

I managed to scrape together the payment and go without anything else and miss bills and food to do this, I explained this but to no sympathy , just either pay or enforcement will be out!

I took advice from cab and spoke to the the council who the debt was originally with, they were more sympathetic to me and agreed to accept £40 per month. I called back to equita to explain and again met with rudeness, threats and overall bullying behaviour!

This was paid, up-to-date and never missed or been late, then to get a text message saying I need to up my payment and they had cancelled the plan I'd agreed with the council. Many calls to them and emails later, feeling bullied, threatened and spoken too so rudely it effected my mental health drastically. I spoke to council again who again agreed the plan could stay as before.

I emailed equita and forwarded the email from council to show this and ask for confirmation as I was now so scared to even open my door incase they sent someone round! I finally got a reply after 3 weeks that was so rude, telling me to stop emailing the. And call if I need anything more! Some people cannot do telephone calls due to mental health issues and anxiety but they have no sympathy at all. Absolutely vile scum of a company! Need closing down and all the staff need to take a look in the mirror as no amount of wages would make me this horrible to anyone

Have offered a payment plan on more than one occasion for them to flat out refuse and demand payment in full. How can you except someone in debt to cough up money from no where? We wouldn’t be in debt in the first place if that was the case. Make it make sense. Top wankers

Still trying to work with liability orders from the council which were stopped in 2003 . They do not have warrants either
