A disgrace
I would leave the highest imaginable NEGATIVE NUMBER if that were possible. I’m omitting some details such as location, names etc for fear of reprisals against the inmates (patients) but will happily share these off line. Having made an appointment for escorted 2 hour leave to take a family member out for breakfast and having completed the 2 hour drive and arriving on time we were informed that this leave was not possible due to staff shortages. The staff were rude and aggressive and then denied a visit of any kind for the following day. Staff keep their badges hidden and refuse to reveal identities. Even prisoners awaiting trial are entitled to daily visits.
One way occasion I observed a slightly built inmate (patient) against a wall being leaned over by a hugely built warden with his face about 6 inches from the inmates face. Clothes have gone missing from the laundry room with other people seen wearing them the following day.
It’s impossible to see how this establishment can provide any therapeutic benefit to people incarcerated there to recover from illness.

Rubbish Cheap Company
Offered a Registered Manager position With Elysium Health care, August / Sept 2023, for a service I was told at interview the service would be open in January 2024. I started work in January only to find that the service would not be opening until the End of March 2024. The service in May is still not Open, expected opening date is now June 2024. Offered a Job as Registered Manager, then on starting this became a commissioning manager, nothing in the original Job advert and nothing in contract of employment. To me this was dishonest.
from January to May 2024, Senior Manager, conducted what I would consider to be extreme bullying and Harassment, wanting throughout to terminate my employment on unsuccessful probation, using many managers in the Elysium managers click to achieve this.
What is the most disturbing is that the feedback from the probation was something that in over 25-years working in health care many years at a senior level and for different companies never had feed back like that, in fact the majority of my previous feed back had always been very positive.
In my opinion the Elysium Management are extremely poor, unprofessional and well out of their depth. Communication within Elysium is shocking, rude, disrespectful.
If Elysium had told me the truth about the new service in December I would have withdrawn my application, acceptance, and never have worked for them, shocked giving up a good job to work for rubbish like that.
The only positive as my partner says, if I hadn't of taken the Job I would never have known.
My advice is stay well Clear.
A reply from Elysium Health Care.
1. Was the investigation purely internal
2. The Building works were Known about in December 2023, would it not have been the honest and decent thing to inform the applicant, allowing them the opportunity of withdrawing from the offer of employment.

Failure to follow procedure leading to suicide
My sister was placed at Bradley Apartments, which is run by Elysium Healthcare, in 2022 by the Adult Social Care and Health Department of Nottinghamshire County Council following numerous suicide attempts.
Whilst there due to an admitted failure to follow procedures she was left unsupervised and therefore able to make a further suicide attempt from which she died three days later.
It was later found out that she had been charged £36,912.77 by Nottinghamshire County Council for the sub-standard care and a further invoice has been sent to me for £26,938.64 for the period she was at the accommodation.
It appears that it is a costly place to receive treatment and care if indeed the procedures are correctly followed.
Following the Inquest conclusion showing the failures of Nottinghamshire County Council it appears that between them and Elysium Healthcare they are able to provide assisted dying rather than assisted care.

My offer was suddenly withdrawn without any reason stated, after going through the interview, documentation, filling the starters form, references, DBS, joining the WhatsApp group and even speaking with the Occupational Health
I understand that circumstances may have led to this decision
I was eager to know what happened but I didn’t get response to the call and mails sent.
Having thoroughly learned more about the Elysium Farmfield Hospital, I was looking forward to being a part of the team, but my hope was dashed.
Heart of hearts 💕
It had been a month since I posted my first review concerning the recruitment process, a few weeks ago I explained how the recruitment manager got intouch and promised to look into my complaint. During the past few weeks I have been up&down with the onboarding team at Elysium, it looks like I'm finally going to join the team. I'm really excited for this next step in my career, its a dream come true especially since I have been wanting to work for Elysium Healthcare since January 2023. I'm so excited to finally start and be a part of the team in assisting people..The reuitment process this time was top notch. If you are coming through this review and wondering about Elysium, I would say they put so much great effort in ensuring a smooth on-boarding process for new employees who will then be better equipped in helping people under their care. I look forward to my first day working at Elysium and it could only be positive things from this point on something I belive in my hearts of heart...
Crystal Ward Family are amazing!
Definitely felt this was a safe place. Definitely a God send. Loved my crystal ward family A huge thank you to Vicky, Abbi, Anna, Renee, Zoila, Dr Marcel, Echo, Ben, Farro from Ruby Ward and the rest of the Crystal Ward family thank you for all the work that you do!
Do not even attempt applying for a job here
The worst Experience I've had applying for a job, it's been over a month since I applied for a job and went through all the stages of completing DBS, new starters form (literally everything). No one has managed to call me or follow up with me regarding my start date. I've had to call them several times which ends up going to voice mail each time. Now I'm concerned about my documents which they took a copy of as part of the onboarding process. Terrible ethics! Unbelievable.

Child Neglect - Stay Away
Do not let your Child enter this unit! It’s unsafe, understaffed, overworked staff (so much so some staff can’t leave patients for at least 7hrs without any break, even a toilet break)! My daughter, has had staff sleeping on her observations, in visits, they left her outside so she managed to run off, they leave her in her room unattended, this causes serious incidents… They literally hand out PRN like it’s water! Your child will not heal here, it will make them worse! Other patients even share the abuse they have received, from having hands put over their mouths, spitting at children, restraints that are not professionally used, instead it’s brut force! I would think very carefully, before allowing any child here! The hospital needs to be shut down!!
Hoity toity think they're all that and…

Do NOT go here or let anyone you care about be placed here.
Ammended Review.
Absolutely abhorrent. I had serious complaints regarding Chadwick Lodge, Isla Ward. Internal investigation was a complete mockery and various statements didn't align with their previous claims. Any trail of evidence was ignored or more likely gotten rid of, CCTV footage the lot.
What's worse is I stated serious concerns in ward round with a member of outside mental health present virtually who also refused to go against them despite concerns voiced by my next of kin from the outside also.
Such was my concern I rang to arrange appointment with a mental health nurse at Milton Keynes A&E. The nurse at Isla Ward said they wouldn't help me, nobody will, her word's. Even going through PALS I learn today they have no juristiction over Elysium Healthcare.
This place is literally untouchable, it's actually very alarming given my own experience along with others. The worst bit is this place and those working there know that the are quite literally untouchable. Explains why the got rid of evidence and effectively stuck two fingers up to me in their own investigation. No apology, no attempt to understand concerns, nothing.
I genuinely fear for patients of this place or any Elysium Healthcare given the complete lack of anybody to intervene regarding concerns. It's effectively a law unto itself.
If you have a loved one, friend or family in need of help please God, try to avoid at all costs, because they are totally at the mercy of these people. Some staff are so sadistic they need to be there, but not as employees.
Nothing else to say, nothing I can do to get any resolution. Scary times, this is the future of all healthcare once privatized.
Very poor service
Very poor service. I have applied for a position and had no communication since. It’s been 3 weeks now. I call but get passed around only to leave a voicemail and then still don’t get a answer. This is a larger care provider. Let’s hope they are better organised on their wards.
On reading other reviews on here I feel people should contact the CQC with their concerns.
Telephone: 03000 616161
The reply does not take into account that I have spoken to reception three times and left voicemails that have not been answered. If my application turns up please shred it.

Vile and Unscrupulous Employer
Taking the job at Elysium has ended up costing me more money than I earned while working for them, and that's not counting the physical disability I'm left unsupported with following a brutal assault.
If you work for Elysium, you will be paid below minimum wage. By contract, overtime is mandatory and unpaid. The shifts at the site I worked were 10.75 hours, but 12.5 hours (no break) was a sort of minimum, going up to 14 hours on many days. The practice of real hourly rates averaging to below minimum wage (regardless of contractual agreements) is explicitly illegal in the UK, but Elysium get around it by instructing their staff to falsify the timesheets. You will be told to enter your contracted hours each day rather than your real hours worked. That way, by the time you realise you're being defrauded, you can't offer any proof that you're owed the money, not to Elysium and not to HMRC.
If you work for Elysium, you will be injured. In my case, I was sent to work alone in a ward with a patient who had spent the entire previous day telling everyone that he is going to kill me. This is a patient who has an extremely violent criminal history. When the patient was done busting my head into the hard floor, my ward manager emerged from the locked door he was hiding behind (as he always does when his team are attacked), and took no further action. I was not given an occupational health referral, in spite of the severe nature of the attack. Unfortunately for me, this brain injury ended up being substantial, probably exacerbated by the fact that my GP kept on stalling giving me a referral because "it's a workplace injury so it should be handled by your employer's occupational health." Too bad Elysium would rather let every single staff member be disabled for life than spend a tenner that can otherwise go into their bank account in Luxembourg.
But it's not enough that I was illegally underpaid for the work I was doing and that the extent of my injury has left me disabled and unable to earn an income in any significant capacity. I also have to pay out of pocket for the pleasure. A patient who was incarcerated for carrying out brutal gang retaliations - including extreme torture, which he always bragged about gleefully - said he was going to have me shot. Elysium did not revoke his permissions to have a mobile phone in his room and make private phone calls, including to his fellow gang members on the outside, but they did promise to give all the information about the incident to the police so that they could investigate. At the last minute, a senior manager from site informed me over phone that they will be telling the police that nothing happened, nothing was said, and no threats or comments against me were made by the patient in any capacity. So now I'm left paying an obscene amount of money every month for a full home security system and private guard response while staying awake every night in abject terror waiting for the moment it finally happens. The good news is that I don't have trouble staying awake because the injury I sustained while working for Elysium has me in extreme pain at every moment of the day, so sleep isn't easy to come by anyway.
I attempted to take this all up as a grievance, and the final resolution offered by the senior manager who handled it was: "You will find closure if you just let this go." I don't see how that undoes my disability, my inability to work, or the death threat I have from an extremely violent street gang around the corner, but I do see how it makes for a very easy resolution on Elysium's side because they get to call it "resolved" while doing absolutely nothing.
As a bonus, when I left, they falsified my annual leave record to say that I had taken 10 days of leave and deducted my last payslip accordingly. In reality, I had only taken 2 days of annual leave. But this is hardly surprising. Elysium will do anything to steal any amount of money from anyone.
Elysium is pure evil, and I am waiting very patiently for the day that their entire board of directors gets sent to prison for running an organisation that makes the Sicilian Mafia look like honest businessmen.
Do not work for them.
You will gain nothing and you will regret it.
Avoid
They will destroy you if you dare to speak up. They will punish, discriminate and harass you until you either resign or have a breakdown.
The god that rules here is money. They are robbing the NHS.
Dreadful workplace
Poorly structured, the rudest staff members and the commuication sucks!!
Absolutely ridiculous and would not reccomend this service to anyone including patients and staff.
0/10.
I wouldn't even give this place a one…
I wouldn't even give this place a one star, worse place to work yeah they say hand your notice in or leave but making a member of staff feel the lowest to a degree that they have breakdown and feel unworthy and in tears is disgraceful, and what surprised with all these bad reviews how is this hospital even standing or open I will be getting in touch with the Regional Director or Operations Director of the place to make an official complaint because the management are disgrace and will be looking in to this with my union I agree work can not be great at all times but making a member of staff cry and break down you lot should be ashamed of yourself
