I have bought a TV unit 4 weeks ago, with a 1 week delivery time. I am still waiting and this was the last response from them "I do apologise but as these are sent out by our partners wincanton thjere is no live tracking on these we are at the mercy of our suppliers and ca only deliver when we receive the stock"

How cannot they have an idea where the timest THEY SELL are and when they are going to be delivered, they do not even offer to refund the money or anythig. A JOKE.

Go Elsewhere - Poor Customer Service

I would urge anyone looking for home furnishings to shop elsewhere. Products arrive faulty and instead of uplifting, you are subjected to a visit from Homecare to repair the fault. If the fault cannot be repaired then you are stuck in a loop trying to get the product uplifted and your money refunded. I bought a product in June. It arrived faulty. Homeserve came out to repair and couldn't do so. They told me a part needed to be ordered. I waited several weeks and heard nothing back. I then contact Dwell only to be told that the product had been marked as a manufacturer defect and that I could either keep the item at a 30% discount or a new one can be delivered. I opted for the later. I waited several days and had to contact them again to work out what is going on. I finally get an email from Dwell with the wrong product scheduled for delivery. At this point some 2 months in, I have had enough and request a refund. To request a refund it has to go to their home care department with an SLA of 72 hours. Once I got through that ridiculous process, the collection of the faulty product was arranged and collected and for the past 2+ weeks I have heard nothing more from Dwell/DFS as to my refund. I called them today to be met by this officious customer care worker called Michael who should NOT be answering phones. I now have to wait 21 days for a refund! When I asked for an escalation....he referred me back to the home care support team and the 72 hours SLA now kicks in. I am frustrated and I will NEVER shop in DFS or Dwell again. I have spent thousands in both of these stores and their customer care leaves a lot to be desired. GO ELSEWHERE!

Absolutely terrible company do not use purchased a sofa paid £100 for delivery damaged on arrival by the delivery men dropped off lorry rejected, still waiting for a refund weeks and weeks before despite numerous emails

Poor Customer Service

Faulty/damaged footstool.
The foot stool was delivered and the delivery staff fixed the legs to the footstool. As soon as they left I examined the footstool storage compartment and noted various cracks and splits in the wood, with nails exposed.
After contacting customer service who were quite dismissive and stated just send an email with pictures, this I did only to get a response that a manager needs to visit the house to look at the item! Still various dismissive emails from customer service later it is still not resolved, to the point where I will have to put a claim in through my credit card.
Such poor service and poor craftsmanship, I won’t be buying anything else from Dwell/DFS

Terrible ignorant customer service and…

Terrible ignorant customer service and bad returns policy on faulty goods. Bedside table glass cracked even though it should be laminated glass with 1 years Warranty. DWELL called an engineer who bullied my elderly mother to agree that it was her fault that the glass cracked. Who does that? Creep! Awful people. I tried to explain to customer service and they would not REPLACE, RUDE, INNEFFICENT PEOPLE. When Dwell was not owned by DFS, it was a much better company. Now I would never consider buying a thing from there. Unfortunate as I bought all my new home items from there 4 years ago.

Disgraceful attitude to customers

This company has no concern for health and safety. I've spent £4-5,000 with this company overall. One of the bedside tables was a year out of warranty but the tempered glass randomly smashed and exploded into my mum's face whilst sleeping. I explained the situation to head office and explained that this is not a warranty situation, it's a health a safety concern due to how close proximity the product is the user's face, and the items are rendered useless, unless we want another injury. Hannah from head office (homes support team) said that dwell would not be offering anything to us and said that the health and safety concerns are not the company's concern in relation to the warranty of the product. This just shows how poor the quality of the products and service is. I said to her that the warranty does not cover any guideline according to health and safety concerns and her exact words were "we just see it all as products".

I spent £300 on these bedside tables only for 3yrs later for them to be completely useless, unless we want the glass to randomly smash in someones face again next to the bed whilst sleeping. This shows the Dwell support team are not able to use any discretion whatsoever especially when my mums face was scratched by the glass from the product. Luckily her eyes were closed. Had this been Furniture Village or Argos, I can guarantee you they would of done something about it.

Hannah from Head Office (Homes Support Team) said "I have heard what you said about the concern but we will not be offering you anything in return in this scenario" (telephone conversation). Disgusting service. They honestly don't care about their customers safety. Based on this experience, I will never buy from Dwell again.

Poor quality - avoid

We bought the Ankara sofa and chair two years ago. Now having to replace as I can’t bear to look at them. Poor quality, wish I’d been a bit more savvy when we bought them. The cushions lose their shape, become saggy very quickly and are impossible to plump up again - obviously a poor filling. The seat cushions can’t be turned so there is no way to prolong them.

All in all despite a good experience with purchase and delivery I will be avoiding this brand in future. Buyer beware - I made an expensive mistake.

I wish I’d have read the reviews here before placing an order.
Dwell/ DFS is an absolute scam. I paid for my order with items to be delivered within 7 days on 30/03/2023. Seven days passed and no email or order update. I call to find out the items are out of stock and I need to wait for 13 weeks for delivery. Ridiculously I now have been promised on three separate occasions to wait 72 hours to be called by a manager to discuss options and nobody calls. On the 4th occasion I was then told I would get a call from a regional manager within 48 hours and again no one calls. They have my money and don’t issue a refund. The only thing customer service say is to wait for a call from the manager to discuss order but again no call. It’s now the 18th of April 2023 and am being told a manager will definitely call me back within 24 hours. Avoid this company at all costs. I’ve shopped with Dwell prior to being bought by DFS and it was amazing but now this company has gone downhill to the point they take money and are refusing to simply return your money forget about compensation for time wasted. DFS has clearly ruined this company’s service. Avoid DFS and Dwell.
Update: 19/04/2023. Have received a message from Amy (a manager). I have just been told what I knew on my first conversation. My order is out of stock and is expected back July 2023. When I asked for my money back I’ve been told to wait another 72 hours to have a call back from the web order team.
Why not just issue a refund to avoid all this at the beginning when asked I do not know. This whole experience is out of their control apparently

Beware terrible customer service!

Beware terrible customer service! They are not interested in helping you once they have taken your money. Placed an order for a sofa but a few days later tried to cancel as our house move fell through. When we ordered over the phone we were reassured it would be really easy to cancel. Now we are told we have to wait for a manager to call us back to get refund and lead time is 48-72 hours. However no one calls and we have to contact their robotic and unhelpful customer service to be told we have to wait for another 48-72 hours with no guarantee that a 'Manager' will actually call. Total and utter nonsense to have to wait for a manager to call us to get a refund in this day and age! They are able to take your money very quickly but drag their feet and make excuses to delay refunding you. Order has apparently been cancelled but no sign of our £2.3k. Ridiculous! I will never order from either Dwell or DFS again.

Please don't buy anything from them. Shocking customer service, waiting now 8 weeks for replies to my email. Faulty Salire table, engineer confirmed it is manufacture faulty,and since then no reply from dwell / dfs.

impossible to change/cancel order

Customer service is a simply a concierge that take a note of a request submitted over the phone with no evidence send to me that the conversation took place.
I've paid for my order online, then I realised that the item is going to be too large and I decided to cancel the order over the phone, however by calling customer service you can;t do that because they simply record the request but `i was told someone will give a call back to confirm the cancellation. No one called back however I've received 3 texts so that I need call myself, which I did, however as before over the phone CS don't deal with cancelation.This is 2023 and any requests with order always dealed online or over phone, however seems that dwell still think that its 1981 and it takes ages to get a response.

Low quality products w high return charges

Bought some chairs and rug, delivered and found that the quality are pretty low, cheap looking items from China. So arranged a return but they charge me 60 pounds for return delivery because of their product problem. Although its written on their web site, that's really not fair. So be careful when you order and DON'T go for it unless you are very sure you will accept the item no matter how low quality they are.

Highly Unprofessional - Stay Away or Keep Stressing

I wish if there was an option to leave 0 stars. The service is dire and pathetic! Placed the order almost a month back and since then no correspondence or updates at all. At the time of order it said delivery within 6-7 days. Called them 4-5 times and every time there is a different answer. Called to cancel the order for a refund yesterday but I was told that someone will call me today with an update. No calls no emails!

You call dwell support they say I need to call some delivery company encanton (I think that it was called) when I call them
They say can’t see any order with the provided reference number. An Absolute joke! Do not waste your time on Dwell just go to a reputable company instead.

Will be making a complaint to trading standards later today.

One of my worst experiences online

One of my worst experience with online shopping, orders are taken swiftly and processed for delivery too, however, this is where the nightmare starts, the courier that Dwell use is Parcel Force and the drivers do not bother coming up as soon as they see it's delivery for a flat. Contacted Parcel Force back and forth but no joy, then contacted Dwell, I was supposed to get a call back from Management but after weeks the call is still pending. There's also no contact number for Dwell, well there is however the guys in DFS will answer and will try to help but they won't be able to do much about it as it's a Dwell order, so my question is what's the point of taking this call. I have waited for a rug for almost 2 weeks and missed a few of my work meetings as I thought my parcel will be delivered. I even drove 1 hour to go and collect my parcel from Parcel force however even though they told me they will keep it in their depot, they after said the driver is en-route to your address. This has been my worst nightmare and I will never order from Dwell again. I highly recommend small items do not order from Dwell as they will use a third-party courier to deliver and you will face the above issue. However large items should be delivered by DFS which should be all good as they call up and advise you on a date and time.

Avoid dwell furniture

After 7 weeks of my £800 dining table arrived the top of the table got split without nobody touching it. DFS refused to do anything about it. I’m very disappointed and will never buy anything from dwell again. AVOID dwell furniture.

Brilliant item but environmentally poor packaging

I recently purchased a grey Teno coffee table and 2 matching lamp tables. Delighted with my purchase and Wincanton delivering.
I would have given 5 stars but was appalled at the amount of polystyrene packaging. When I broke it up it filled 5 black bin bags which has all gone into landfill. Please review your packaging policy.
