Erin, in Dundas' Customer Care, has been brilliant ever since we bought our Dundas home a few months ago. She's always quick to respond, and so helpful, and when we've needed answers on our queries she's pulled out all the stops to speak to people for us. Can't rate her highly enough!

Dundas provided excellent service and communication throughout the building completion, purchase and moving in process.

My husband and I have purchased a Dundas property which we love. The service we have received throughout the process has been excellent. This extends to the whole team from Irene in sales who supported us through the buying process, Pat (site manager) who went over and above to get us into our home on time, Erin in customer care has always been friendly and efficient in responding to any queries we have had. In addition all the tradesmen that we have dealt with from painters to joiners etc have also been very friendly and professional

Issue with doubled glazing that was sorted out very well and promptly by John Croal and his team

On my first meeting with Laura (Client Specialist) at Dundas,l found Laura to be very warm & friendly and not your typical pushy sales person. Laura had taken the time to talk me through the various stages and made me feel very supported. Nothing was too much trouble & she always came back to me within a timely manner (even out of hours). Thank you Laura for a wonderful experience as a first time buyer. Laura is definitely a great asset to Dundas! I will highly recommend Laura & the team for going above & beyond for me. Giving dundas homes even 1 star is through gritted teeth, before commiting to buying a dundas homes I'd do your homework first. This company is so unprofessional on how they build houses and treat there customers. Once they have your money they couldn't care less about you or your home. I've had loads of faults from day one and in now nearly a year and still no further forward, now they say they are not doing repairs .just go deal with nhbc.

Buying new home is so exciting and it’s can be a great experience. Shame that after you pay for your house and get your keys, Dundas doesn’t care about you anymore. Unwilling to fix anything that shouldn’t need fixing in a new house in the first place! Unhelpful, rude and ignorant! When you try to report anything to their “customer care”, ladies on the phone will try to convince you that there’s nothing wrong with your house and that you’re wrong and shouldn’t be asking for help, even if your ceiling is collapsing and your toilets are leaking. You can try to email them but they’re always out office… Their tactic is to ignore their customers, so eventually they will get tired and bored and won’t ask for help anymore. Estate like our - Uphall Station Village - looks abandoned. Broken street lights, fallen fences, trees and shrubs dying, weeds growing everywhere, roads full of puddles cause they’re not constructed properly, common areas are full metal wires, rocks and boulders and other rubbish sticking out of the ground. Abandoned. New estate looks run down and abandoned and that’s how customers also feel. Abandoned by customer services. Do yourself a favour and don’t buy from Dundas. Don’t ruin your new home experience.

We have bought at Uphall Station Village and will be moving in to our plot at the end of the summer. The team at Dundas have been absolutely fantastic so far, very helpful and knowledgeable. We are so excited to move into our dream 3 bed home.

We moved to Pace Hill, Milnathort 1 year ago, and we love new our house and the development - a lovely community and beautiful surroundings.
A big thanks to the Customer Care team, in particular Erin, who has been really helpful in sorting out a the few snagging issues that we have had .
With Dundas, we feel we have a quality home and have confidence that we are being looked after by their great after- sales service.

We bought our house almost two years ago and, as first time buyers, felt we were treated very well & kept in the loop by Janice who is an absolute star.
Admittedly, there have been some snagging issues and attached to that, some communication issues which, at times, have been frustrating.
However, the treatment I’ve received from the customer care team has been outstanding. Erin in particular, has been excellent. She is a true asset to the company & I am basing my 5 star review on her professionalism. We had problems with outstanding snagging items and with contacting outside agencies, which was a bit stressful, and Erin went above & beyond to sort it all for us, which I’m very grateful for.

Great experience from when we bought and onwards. Janice was always very good to deal with and never put any pressure on and made plenty of time for us whenever we needed her during the whole process. Always good at keeping us up to date with progress - so I never felt the need to be chasing from my side. House completed on time (slap bang in the middle of the 3 month window) which took a bit of pressure off too. Now in the hands of Davie the site manager who has been extremely helpful and, again, always ready to answer queries etc. My mother thought he was a "very nice man". Overall the personal service from Janice and Davie has made this a good experience - no mean feat when dealing with house moves.

We bought our first house at Uphall Station Village, it is a beautiful location and 20 minutes drive from Edinburgh. From the inception, Janice was wonderful as sales person & during the entire process, she was prompt & kept us updated regarding the build progress.
Our house was delivered on time, integrated items are top-notch, the build quality is good, have conducted professional snag testing & everything was fine apart from some minor snags which were also rectified by David.
It was a hassle-free transition & after-sale care is really good till now.

Just moved in to Uphall Station 2 weeks ago . From the time meeting Janice in the sales office last year to now she has been ever so helpful and should get a pay rise . Site manager Davie is also very helpful and supportive and assured me on any snagging issues will be taken care of , a really good experience so far

We have recently bought our home at Uphall Station Village. Fantastic location about 5minutes walk from the station - you can be in the heart of Edinburgh in under half an hour from locking the door. Janice and co are always incredibly helpful and welcoming. She made the sale process very straightforward. There is great finishes on the building and you can see the care in the attention to detail.

We bought our house 18 months ago and the after care has been non existent. None of our snagging has been done despite chasing numerous times (and there is a LOT). Once they have your money the care ends there. Also they promoted that there would be a 'convenient path' that would connect to the train station making it a quick 10 minute walk, great for commuters and as luck would have it would be opening in time for us moving in. 18 months later the path is still not there meaning that 10 minute walk is now more like 30 because you have to walk half the way in the opposite direction. Fantastic at 6am!

Uphall Station Village

We've been in now for over 2 years so all our snagging has now been completed.
Our experience has been very positive - from the purchase side (thank you Janice!) to the after sales side (thank you Erin/Rab/Gary and team). Erin in the after sales team handled all my queries effortlessly - thank you Erin.
All emails/phone calls that I've fired across to customer service team have been answered on time and professionally. All agreed work completed as well - no issues from my end.
Just recently we had an issue (we are now outwith the 2 year warranty period). Spoke to sales who then spoke to site - a joiner was sent round the next working day and sorted issue!! You all know who you are (Janice/David/Alan) - thank you!!!

There was an early reviewer who said "how you speak to people will dictate how you are responded to at the end of the day" - I'm a firm believer in that especially when they are trying to help you.
Take 5, walk it off then type that email/make that phone call.

I was looking to move house and it was a spur of the moment idea to look into a new build. On visiting Gilbertfield Woods Estate I met with Gail the sales person who could not have been more helpful in talking me through the different types of builds that were available and it didn't take me long to make my decision. I used to visit the sight to look over the fence and watch my forever home taking shape from afar. Gail gave me plenty of help and advise regards the fixtures and fittings and regular updates along the way on the progress until I picked up my keys last week.

So far loving our new home. This is my 3rd new build property, and my best experience with a building company to date. Special thanks to Irene, Sally, Linda, Pat and Steve, they have all been informative and helpful. Nothing has ever been a bother and has really made it a stress free and enjoyable experience getting into our new home. They’re customer care has allowed us to be excited rather than stressed moving into our new home.
In regards to the quality, again I’m very impressed with Dundas. We have minor snagging to be done, which is to be expected…will update review once all snagging complete.
Still living on a building site at the moment, but all workers nothing but courteous and more than happy to move machinery to let us in and out the property….which when you first move in, seems to be about 100 x/day!
Overall really am very impressed with the customer experience and the build quality, would highly recommend

Be wary of the builders & customer care team.

We have been in our home now for around a year and a half, in that time we’ve had a torrid time trying to get many of our snagging resolved. Always blamed on the third party companies and always being someone else’s fault.

Every resolution, is an argument - so much so, having to approach CEDR to discuss a resolution as the builder accepts no accountability for their failings in service, referring everything back to the buildmark.

The sales process was fair enough, the woman who works on site is fantastic, polite and very friendly - some of the tradesmen are just as fantastic, however they’re has been such a turnover in 18 months from the staff that should tell you how the business is run - from a senior management level down.

Property had a lot of snagging issues, some small, some larger (garden wasn’t as sold for example).

Unfortunately it comes down to customer service, for which, the company seems to think that it’s above accountability.

Your time is as precious as there’s, remember that. They will take up weeks of your time with failed appointments, false promises and lead you to think they will help - when they won’t.

Literally every time something has went on, it’s been somewhat of a battle apart from a couple of occasions, and these were fixed primarily by the former site foreman who recently left.

If your swaying between here or somewhere else, I’d maybe consider the other site (dependant on their reviews).
