The bed was delivered on time and is of the highest quality I paid the xtra fee for assembly the only assembly required was fitting the for corner chrome feet. Which I child could do they gave me the fittings for the head board but would not fit it as they said they were not allowed to incase they got hurt . What I paid for the assembly was a rip off other than that I am pleased with the divan and its quality it’s just the xtras that are charged for is a disappointing as a disabled 80 yr old feal let down

Great Customer Service
The new mattress I ordered from Divan Base Direct made my bed too high for comfort. Customer Services were very sympathetic and offered an 'exclusive' discount and recommended low divan bases, one of which I ordered with my choice of fabric. I'm very happy with the end result, albeit at more expense than I'd originally anticipated. I'd recommend all customers consider how thick mattresses will affect overall height, getting on and off, and how they might change the look of a room.

Terrible quality - avoid
Bought the reinforced divan. Not reinforced at all, but terrible quality- very bad workmanship for the whole bed, drawers break within 2 weeks of usage.

Our reinforced divan is built to a specification that goes above and beyond standard requirements, with structural differences that make it genuinely distinct from our standard range, so we would love the opportunity to understand your concerns in more detail.
We also back all of our beds with a 3-year warranty, which we feel speaks to the confidence we have in the products we sell. It's also worth noting that the bed itself appears to be functioning as intended, and the concern raised seems to be isolated to the drawers. Something we can easily arrange to have replaced for you.

Great service.
Bed came quickly. Great communication and all good. They seem to have dressed the overpowered pneumatic arms that raise the bed too which is good. I haven’t been able to keep the lid down on previous divan beds I’ve had.
Paid the £12.95 for placement and disposal of rubbish which was good as the delivery guys managed to get the bed into a very narrow space with no problems. Very happy.

Delighted with bed purchase!
So pleased we went with Divan Base Direct to purchase a double Ottoman bed and Kensington mattress. The whole package was very competitively priced and the quality is excellent - a very comfortable bed and solves a big storage problem. I spent a lot of time looking at local stores and other online companies before settling on Divan Base Direct and cannot fault the level of service I received from being kept up to date about the manufacturing of the bed to the prompt delivery and assembly service. Highly recommend the company.

Great base with a few niggles.
Great base. Comes in two sections. Only hassle was fixing the connecting metal links. No holes in fabric to screw into and the guide marks for each were misplaced so you might cut in the wrong place! The accepting threaded fixed screw in the base is hollow and use an awl to push out from there so you can screw the bolts to hold metal connecting bar in place. A video guide would have been useful! Other than this everything else is good. Castor feet make for easy movement but you will need cup holders if on a hard floor to stop it rolling around. A lock on the castors would be better or slider feet. Overall a quality item these issues apart.

I was accidently stretching legs upside…
I was accidently stretching legs upside down in bed and pushed against headboard and broke one wing nut fastener and then the other one broke under the strain. The lovely people at Divan Base Direct Team have agreed to replace them for free, thank you team.❤️

An absolutely diabolical service
An absolutely diabolical service — I would never use this company again under any circumstances. The fiasco began the day before delivery, when they repeatedly changed the time slot no fewer than three times, showing a complete lack of organisation or respect for customers’ time.
On the day of delivery, I specifically requested a minimum of 30 minutes’ notice before arrival. They ignored this entirely and called just 10 minutes beforehand. When the two delivery men arrived, they were politely asked to either remove their shoes or use shoe covers due to newly fitted carpets. They responded rudely, claiming they had no overshoes and refusing to remove their shoes, hiding behind vague “health and safety” excuses.
When the bed was taken upstairs, I explained that I had paid for assembly. This was disputed by the delivery men. When I asked them to wait while I contacted the company to clarify, they did the exact opposite — they walked out, got back into their van, and drove off without waiting for any resolution.
As a result, I was left alone with a bed I had paid to have assembled. When I later spoke to the company, I was told the delivery men were “busy” and had to leave for their next job because they were running behind schedule — a blatant lie, as I found them parked around the corner casually eating their lunch.
This company demonstrated staggering incompetence, dishonesty, and total disregard for customer service. A truly horrendous experience from start to finish. I would never use them again and strongly advise others to avoid them entirely.

Delivery schedules are managed by our logistics partner, and on occasion routes are adjusted the day prior as they finalise their runs. I understand that changes, even when communicated in advance, can be frustrating.
Your request for advance notice was passed on to the delivery team. While we always do our best to accommodate specific requests, these are not guaranteed as timings can shift slightly on the day depending on route conditions.
In relation to footwear, delivery teams operate under health and safety guidelines which prevent them from removing shoes while handling heavy items. Protective coverings should be available, and if this was not handled appropriately, that is something we will address directly with the courier.
Regarding assembly, you are absolutely correct that this service was selected. Unfortunately, there was an error on the delivery partner’s paperwork which meant it was not reflected on the drivers’ job sheet. That should not have happened, and we have raised this with them. As soon as we became aware, we moved to arrange for assembly to be completed as quickly as scheduling would allow.
We work with our logistics partner to complete hundreds of deliveries each week, and issues of this nature are extremely uncommon. That does not lessen your experience, but it is certainly not reflective of our usual standards.
The bed itself was delivered in full, and we remained willing to return and complete assembly at the earliest opportunity. We are always committed to resolving matters wherever possible and regret that on this occasion you were left feeling dissatisfied.

Great choice!
I ordered a super firm foam mattress and the service was excellent. Delivery was smooth and the mattress was brought straight into my bedroom. The mattress itself is quite tall at 26 cm, so a deep fitted bedsheet is needed. It is very firm with no bounce at all, which I personally find very comfortable. The quality feels solid and well made. I did need to switch to a taller pillow to suit the firmness, but after using it for three weeks, I’m very pleased with my purchase and sleeping well.

Good Company, would recommend
Very easy to order, kept updated with delivery date and times, so good customer service. We ordered a king size bed base with drawers, it was delivered on time and the delivery drivers took it upstairs for me, which was great. We are very pleased with the base, it looks well made and strong. The only problem we had was one of the drawer fronts was not secured properly on the one side as the material was covering the holes where the wooden dowels go, but this was an easy fix and had not caused any damage to the drawer. So very happy with purchase, would recommend
