Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking. Delivered broken, damaged, i paid for reinforced and it has none.
So cheap and lightweight i carried it upstairs alone. Cheap plastic feet supplied without rubber bottoms.
Corner of materials baggy, stitching terrible quality. Quite honestly my worst purchase yet

We’re unable to locate any contact from you regarding these concerns, and we’re always happy to help when issues are raised directly so they can be looked into properly.
In terms of delivery, no issues were noted at the time, which is usually when any concerns can be identified and addressed quickly.
The reinforced option relates to additional support within the base of the bed, which isn’t externally visible. All of our beds are manufactured using solid timber and are designed to be both durable and practical for handling and assembly.
The feet supplied are standard and include floor protection, and are consistent with what is commonly used across similar products.
All of our items are hand-finished and checked prior to dispatch. As we haven’t been provided with any images or further details, it’s difficult to comment specifically on the points raised.
We’ve been trading for over 15 years and process a high volume of orders each week, and situations like this are very uncommon.

Points to think about if self assembling.
Once assembled (by us) we were very pleased with the colour and quality. It fits our King size mattress perfectly. The drawers are spacious and come ready made up and in place.
We chose self assembly because we considered the prices quoted for assembly and even removing the thick plastic 'bags' and disposal of same to be on the pricy side.
The only snag we had was trying to fit the bars provided for fitting the bases together. Even with the metal clips provided to hold the two bases together whilst doing this kept dropping out. We got round this by actually screwing the bases together which has solved the problem and is working perfectly.
Overall a good product and recommended.

Fantastic! Headboard is high quality at a very reasonable price. The material we wanted was out of stock (confirmed after we placed the order) but customer services offered us a close alternative or to wait. We chose to wait until the fabric was back in stock and they kept us updated along the way. Highly recommend for customer service, value for money and the premium product itself. Delivery smooth, too.

Bed fine but wouldn’t buy again
Bed is good though messily made, which considering I paid extra for the better quality one is annoying. It arrived in filthy plastic which the delivery guys smeared all over my new carpets and walls, and is marked. I noted this when signing to receive it as asked, but had heard nothing from the company since.
Be aware the beds come with no build instructions, and take the maximum amount of time to make as is advertised.
All in all, wouldn’t order again.

A warning before you buy
Update: In response to what the company claim in their reply to this review - it was definitely Divan Base Direct. Their denial and refusal to take responsibility is typical of the dishonest way they operate.
The mattress we received differed considerably from the mattress pictured on the website.
Even the materials described on the mattress itself differ from the website description.
The company just fudged and denied - and communication was slow, vague, and at times disingenuous.
They insisted that the internal materials were the same - presumably safe in the knowledge that the only way for us to test this was to slice open the mattress.
Our efforts to arrange a refund were met with a demand for a 50% cancellation fee and a £60 collection charge.
Tired of the company’s attitude - and without a mattress - we accepted our bad decision and started using the product that was delivered.
The mattress that we now have has already started sinking - and in our opinion doesn’t appear to be of good quality at all.
We deeply regret this purchase.

Bad delivery
Happy with the bed, looks really good. But had issues with the delivery - damage to carpet and light fittings. Have given this feedback to the delivery company and emailed them with details but no response.

Great Beds Great Service
Having placed an order with another online company that went into liquidation before I received my order I was naturally hesitant not to have the same experience again, but after talking to a helpful gentleman from Divan Base Direct I felt confident my new purchase would be delivered without any issues. I ordered two small ottoman bases which arrived on time and very well packaged. The beds themselves far exceeded my expectations and were extremely well made, in fact I have another ottoman base which was delivered previously from a well known high street store which isn’t as good as the ones from Divan Base Direct. I would have no hesitation in returning to order another bed and can highly recommend this online company.

I contacted DBD while I was adding items to my trolley, as I wanted to know the total cost. I also had a few other questions about delivery, assembly, and the removal of my old beds. The company was amazing — they guided me through everything on the chat and provided a full breakdown of the cost, including all services. It was honestly very reasonable. They even went the extra mile when I couldn’t get monthly instalments through either Klarna or Clearpay.

Quality of headboard is good for the price paid, however delivery left a bit to be desired. Evri entrusted to deliver - first item damaged in transit and returned to seller. Replacement received ok, although obviously delayed, but poorly packaged so feel fortunate it arrived intact. Also left in porch without notification even though I was home.

Low base bed divan - Great service
Had been looking for a low base bed divan and found this one at a good price. They even made a slight adjustment to the floor standing headboard we purchased so it would be more suitable. Quick delivery and great service. Would definitely recommend.

The bed I bought, was excellent quality and I am very happy with it, it was a plush Teal Platform Top Divan double bed, they even stapled extra material rounds the winged headboard so it was not damaged in transit. I was so happy with the quality and the colour is beautiful, the material is a lovely soft felt, I am so pleased, that I have ordered a bed box from them in the same colour. I also needed to update my delivery address and they were very pleasant to deal with on the phone, and very efficient. I liked the fact that they email you to double check your order and also phone you to confirm your order details. I would definitely, recommend them, and order more beds from them in the future. 😊
