I had a very frustrating experience with the Dial-a-Dog-Wash Dunfermline franchise. Alan arrived on Friday afternoon to groom my two Springers. This was my second time using his services after my previous groomer relocated to Aberdeen.

After the first appointment, I wasn’t entirely satisfied with how he dried my dogs, as they were left looking overly fluffy. This time, I politely requested a smoother blow-dry. His response? “I only dry the dogs one way. You’re too fussy. I’ll just leave and not bother grooming them at all.” Then, he walked off without completing the job!

I immediately contacted his wife, Shona, who had taken my booking, to express my concerns. Unfortunately, my call went unanswered, so I left a message. It has now been 48 hours, and I have yet to receive a response or an apology.

This level of customer service is unacceptable. If you value professionalism and respect, I strongly advise looking elsewhere for dog grooming services.

We got our Yorkipoo as we’d lost our old Westie & dad within the space of 3 days in the summer. Today, both my kids sobbed their hearts out over how Matt from Dial a Dog BUTCHERED their puppy Percy (that’s his name - he couldn’t even remember it today). Is he actually a qualified dog groomer? As he definitely didn’t groom our 6 month old puppy today!! After the years of coming to us with our previous dogs, I would have thought he’d have a little more thought. I wouldn’t recommend him to ANYONE. Always late, always rushed and after today, clearly doesn’t care at all!!

I was using this company for 11 years,since my dog was a puppy. The groomer nipped her a few times with the clippers, nothing too major, but on her last visit, he cut her quite badly, and I decided not to use this company again, I didn't feel my dog had the groomers full attention as sometimes he would be on his mobile whilst grooming my dog.

well it seems if you have a complaint you have to make it with your groomer who for some reason will not reply to your messages, so the big nobs are kept out of it, have used this company for about 15 years, never again.I have run businesses myself, and this is not how a reputable business is run. now it wont let me submit this review.

I would love to give a review, I would love to be able to book an appointment for my pooch but . . .
There are absolutely no contact details for the groomer who covers my area and I just keep going round and round on your website and getting nowhere. Help!

Cancelled half an hour prior to appointment saying the girl did not want to cut my dog as last time she was bitten. This cannot be the case or else she would surely have said something following the incident. Not acceptable they should just have told me they were not prepared to see to her when I booked 5 weeks ago. Certainly never use them again and would not recommend their services.

Said he text before hand but it never delivered on WhatsApp but still turned up as I was going out ever since then I have tried to book but I keep getting excuse after excuse I mean there a plenty of other dog grooming services around so don't mind going elsewhere I just wanted to let people know what these clowns are about
Don't get me wrong the actual grooming is fantastic but customer service is a joke

Lorna is an excellent groomer with our Yorkie Cross Venus. Not the easiest dog to groom, but Lorna is so very patient and always does a wonderful job.
It's so handy that she drives up to our house and parks in the driveway.
She's thoroughly recommended by us.

Dave has done an absolutely great job grooming my two cocker spaniels today, I am so pleased!

I have a whippet who typically hates water. Amelie from windsor came round and put him at ease..bathed groomed and cut nails..he smelt wonderful and came out of the van happy..highly reccomend. Xx

Unfortunately I have tried to book with 2 of the franchises in my area. One says they don’t do dogs that is a collie size. Definitely not a large dog. And the other won’t take on my dog due to the other franchise (not in their patch but are literally round the corner from me) even though they have said no. So the service is pretty poor.

first groom of Cockerpoo today would go as far as to say it is the best groom she has had. Perfect ears, nose and head cut - listened to what was asked for and dog was so chilled unlike previous experience - will definitely be using again 5*

The difference in standard grooming parlours and dial a dog wash is is quite amazing, most important my teacup yorkie was mostly unfazed by the experience rather than withdrawn and not eating. JulieAnn clearly gave him plenty of attention and the 1 2 1 care makes it so much quicker. He went in a ragamuffin and came out like a little Prince, smelled lovely and I know he feels much better for it. An excellent service for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

What a lovely lady, dogs all loved her all smell and look great, way more continent coming to your home and less stressful for the little ones.

Had Claire from Walsall around today to groom our three dogs. We are extremely happy with the service! What a fabulous groomer Claire is! Our dogs were so relaxed and she did a wonderful job with them. Highly recommended and we are now customers for life. Thanks so much Claire you are amazing!

Julie has groomed Barney, our beautiful sprocker, a few times now and does a fantastic job. She always takes her time and gives Barney the works, which he thoroughly enjoys, and he always looks fantastic when she's finished. Great value for money, particularly considering the added convenience of a mobile service.

I then phoned Shona his wife, who took my booking, to complain about his rude customer service, and no surprise there was no answer, so I left a message. 48 hours later and still no reply with apology. Please - do not book this very rude couple to groom your dogs!

My dog (Bear) is a shar pei cross alsation she is a massive fluff ball and moults constantly.. like the amount of lint rollers I got through could easily bankrupt me. Becky however has done such an amazing job with Bear! Her coat feels so much healthier and you can tell Bear is happier having some pampering. Becky is an absolute superstar! Strongly recommend. I already have Bear booked in twice for this year. Thank you again xx

I person will no be using this business again . I wouldn’t even give this a 1 star u wouldn’t rate it at all .
I had my dog groom today . Personally sent a photo to show what cut we like to have on our dog .
For him to come back to me looking like he’s been hacked away at .
Shaved his tail off . Shaved ears in patches . Meant to have a round head but it definitely not . Mind I have said personally when she collected that I want my dog ears and tail long as he’s a shih tzu.
But nope he looks terrible .. 100% done an absolute shocking job.
And there is no way another dog groomer could save his coat , only for me to have to wait and grow it all back now .
His tail is going to take months to regrow back 😭
