It was such an easy experience we’d already chosen the sofas we’d liked,so went to store to order was greeted by a lovely lady who made us a coffee and said make yourselves comfortable,then a sales assistant came to take our order,it was so smooth from start to finish and our sales assistant was very helpful

The staff were so happy and helpful they advised us on all the products and were professional in all areas
The only thing was there was no internet in your store which held up with things on our side so would suggest getting wifi installed

Customer service was excellent very thorough and efficient

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a furniture company.

From start to finish, the service from DFS was appalling.

The sales team never discussed important details such as the sofa dimensions or how many sections it would be delivered in. Instead, they seemed far more interested in trying to upsell insurance, Eaziglides and cleaning kits than making sure the sofa would actually fit into our property. When we ordered the sofa, we told the sales lady that we lived in a flat and there was 3 lots of stairs to go up and she completely disregarded this information and said she ‘didn’t need to add any delivery instructions, that it would be fine’.

We had two failed delivery attempts because the delivery team claimed they couldn’t get the sofa up the stairs to our flat. Since then, we’ve had an even larger sofa delivered by another company with absolutely no issues, so it clearly wasn’t impossible. Alongside this, we were told in DFS that the sofa we had ordered was the smallest sofa they sell… so they must not deliver to flats if they can’t get them up the stairs?

The second delivery was by far the worst part of the experience. The delivery team were laughing before they had even opened the lorry, then stood there laughing while speaking to me instead of trying to help. It felt completely disrespectful and unprofessional.

To make matters worse, the delivery team themselves said, “If the sales team did their jobs properly, there would never be an issue,” and that “all the sales teams need retraining.” That says everything about the lack of communication within the company.

After driving an hour round trip each way to the store on multiple occasions, we were repeatedly told that only the regional manager could deal with the situation. We were also promised phone calls and emails that never arrived, apart from one. Communication throughout was terrible.

Despite all of this, DFS still insisted we pay 20% of the order value to cancel the order, even though the poor service was entirely on their side.

The lack of communication, product knowledge and customer service is shocking. Paying £129 for delivery only to be treated with such disrespect is unacceptable.

I would not recommend DFS to anyone based on my experience.

Really easy and simple. Saw a sofa online, was able to view it in store and were happy with it so purchased it!
Staff were friendly and efficient.

Wonderful service and the staff are very helpful they really cater to your needs and requirements. Shayna was lovely and very resourceful she really took her time to get me the perfect sofa that was just right for me.

We spoke with 3 different sales assistants each one gave us very good advice.

After visiting DFS last week, I came across a member of staff called Sue, after looking around the store, I decided which suite and single chair we would like, after sitting with me and talking about the suite for awhile, she gave me a book with different colours this week could be in, once I narrowed it down to 3 colours, Sue gave me three swatches to take Home as she explained the lighting in the store can be totally different towards what it’s like at home, after one week of deciding, I’ve been back in the store today and that Sue once again, to place my order, she was very friendly, caring , understanding and answered all my questions that I needed answered,
Sue then proceeded to offer me a five year extended warranty which I took on.
Congratulations to DFS in Christchurch, Sue is a massive asset to your store
