Very hard to contact
I was hassled by telephone to sign up and had various conversations on a easy to contact mobile phone line, but as soon as I paid the fee I was unable to contact them by telephone except via a premium rate telephone line.
They traced the debtor and then agreed a monthly payment plan, but I have had to chase them by email before any money is paid to us. We have no way of knowing if they are passing all payments on, for all we know they are keeping monies that have been recovered.
They are very slow to respond to emails sent.

Chameleon are a local firm to me. Once I instructed them to collect a debt from a extremely difficult individual. The amount cleared within 2 weeks.

Was really hesitant to use a debt collection agency for first time but from the initial contact Gavin & team put my mind at ease. Very quick and efficient, they have recovered all debts owed. Really can't fault them, great communication, keeping me updated throughout.

Keep the cash flowing
I have a couple of experiences of using Chameleon Collections. Whenever I have a problem with persistent, deliberate, payment avoidance I have enlisted this company to help and have received 1. Excellent and trustworthy service 2. Quick results! Chose them originally because of their location, have stayed with them because of the benefit.

Been using Chameleon for years for rental arrears and similar problems as are highly recommended in rental property sector
However I instructed them to recover my first B2B debt.
They immediately served a statutory demand to wind up directly with my debtor.
Very pleased, fast result , no court action needed

Sensitive and efficient
Been struggling with monies owed now over some time but it's been a little too close to home. Discussed my issues through with Kate and so glad I did as Chameleon removed all the personal and emotional barriers that were making the recovery difficult. A payment plan has been set up so I am (finally) receiving regular payments now to recover the money and ... I'm updated weekly as always! Thanks for the consistent follow through everytime and Kate thanks for your time and sensitivity on this. Chameleon you have yourself a loyal customer right here!

can never get hold of anyone on the phone and no one ever gets back to you . when they do they dont understand the problem and you cant explain to anyone what needs to be done . find working with this company impossible to get any closer to getting any of my money back and feel even more out of pocket

Our last update was sent to you on the 30/11/22 (as seen below) advising that your submitted account would be drawing to a conclusion with an offer of another settlement by the debtor in question being made on the 06/12/22.
It is noted you had refused a first settlement offer. We request you are mindful that you have submitted a highly disputed debt rather than simply an outstanding invoice and therefore, the process of dispute resolution is required.
Whilst, this can elongate the time to obtain a result whereby all parties are satisfied, your account has been worked diligently and has been worked within the guidlines and protocols and processes set by the Ministry of Justice debt claims.

Chameleon collected money on our behalf and that was the last we saw of it. Very difficult to speak to anyone, no progress updates about collections - its easier to use the County Court.

transparent - so far so good
Transparent, simply and easy to use. have recovered two commercial B2B debts one which was highly disputed. I am now using Chameleon for my other business, completely different business all customers are private individuals B2C. I will see how they perform. So far So good.

RUBBISH AND THEY SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN THAT WOULD HAVE TAKEN 6 YEARS TO PAY OFF AND THEY DID NOT EVEN TELL US THAT IT WAS IN PLACE. FORGET THESE MUPPETS AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE HIGH COURT AND SEND IN THE SHERIFFS AS THEY HAVE BEEN FANTASTIC. YOUR RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW IS TOTAL RUBBISH AS YOU DONT RESPOND TO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS AND WE HAD TO KEEP CHASING YOU FOR THE MONEY THAT THE DEBTOR HAD PAID. YOU SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN EVEN THOUGH WHEN WE INSTRUCTED YOU THAT IT WOULD NOT BE EXCEPTABLE AND YOU NEVER KEPT US UP TO DATE. INFACT THIS IS THE QUICKEST YOU HAVE EVER REPLIED TO ANYTHING.

Dear Mr Stevenson,
Whilst, we will take on board any constructive criticism. We feel you should be mindful of the facts set below within this reply.
The debt you submitted was disputed, and the debtor was appealing via application of a set aside with the county court.
Therefore, throughout this process we secured a payment plan that was agreed upon on becoming a client. This was made on the proviso that payments would be increased when the debtors financial position improved or to pay the remaining amount owed in its entirety.
There is no record or substantiation of a payment plan forged or agreed upon to pay off the debt over 6 years. Therefore, we refute your claim as highlighted in your review above.
We highlight that your initial action to recover the debt (via county court) before becoming a client had failed. On becoming a client with ourselves, Chameleon quickly obtained contact with a hard faced debtor and secured managed punctual payments to which have been remitted to you.
Your decision to instruct high court action was counter-intuitive due to the added length of time you now had to wait for their action to be implemented. In this time a substantial amount owed would have be recovered at a fraction of the cost you have now paid to instruct a high court writ.
It is important to confirm that high court action often results in a payment plan and is often the first route to an agreed resolve. On this premise you continue to receive payments via a payment plan at a higher cost.
However, your decision to instruct high court action was fully supported. Subsequently, Chameleon cooperated with your request for information RE: times, dates, processes completed and payments received that were needed for your decision to pass the remaining amount to be recovered via the high court.
Whilst, we are disappointed to your review Chameleon Collections wish you all best in your pursuit to recover amounts owed to you.
