A formal complaint was raised on CG Discount Golf regarding obtaining a full refund for an order of Sketcher golf shoes which were purchased for £99.

The shoes were returned boxed within the permitted period for receipt of returns in perfect saleable condition and passed CG Discount Golf’s internal inspection.

The original Sketcher shoe box had been damaged and so an alternative golf shoe box supplier box was used to return the Sketcher golf shoes.

CG Discount Golf declined to provide a full refund, changed the wording on the returns section of the T&C's during the dispute, and arbitrarily reduced the refund amount by £20.

CG Discount Golf refused to provide a full refund on the basis that the original Sketcher packing was not returned with the shoes and that CG Discount Golf will be unable to sell the returned goods as new.

“Sorry – that is incorrect we are unable to sell these shoes on as new, would you like to receive so called “new” golf shoes in a totally different box?
With the box and original packaging we would have no issue with a full refund. Please take some responsibility here for your actions not ours, you have not returned the goods to us as they were sold to you.
Your refund has been issued minus £20 as previously discussed. This is fair and allows us to try and sell these shoes on in the full overall condition they have been returned to us in a totally different box.”

A similar reply was received during the formal complaint procedure.

CG Discount Golf were not concerned that they were in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or that they modified their T&C’s during the dispute.

Just purchased a used driver from cg golf and am very pleased with the service I got. After they let me try several different ones, billy got me on the right track. Ended up with a ping. Been out a few times with it now and it's great, straighter, longer. Very pleased with it. Billy is a great asset to cg golf, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Thanks Billy. Chris.

Ordered two dozen Pro V1 overstamps for an excellent price. Delivery was cheap and quick. Would definitely recommend.

The worst online golf experience I’ve ever had. I returned some shoes back in August, and only now in January 25 have they offered me a voucher to use on there site. It took me many calls and headaches only to be let down time and time again. I have repeatedly requested for my money back but have been told that this isn’t an option. Mike ( possibly the manager ) who I have been dealing with doesn’t have any idea of customer care and repeatedly refused my refund. I will be taking it further as I don’t wish to use an online store that doesn’t care about its customers and the thought of something else going wrong and having to return an item to cgdiscount would give me a breakdown. I was told that they’ve been having a lot of issues with one thing and another so it’s not an isolated incident. STAY AWAY from this company. Painful horrible experience.

Ordered a Garmin S70 from the company on the 30th December. Yes I appreciate the time of year but only received the watch on 14th January. After making several phone calls and sending emails to the company, I was told it would be dispatch and then told they had none in stock and the obvious one (bad weather). There customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Won’t be purchasing from again.

On 1st January 2025 I ordered a callaway fairway wood. I heard nothing so decided to call Friday 3rd for an update on eta. The man said he would message the warehouse for an update and would call me back. He said if it had been dispatched he would not call and I would get it Saturday 4th. It did not arrive so in the meantime had email to confirm order but no tracking details so I emailed asking for this info. By Monday no club so called again speaking to a Lady who said it was still in the warehouse and would be dispatched that day. I again emailed for tracking details again no reply. Rang again Tuesday same lady answered and said she would look into it and ring me in 10 minutes. After 3 hours later and no call so another email but again no reply so called again this time a man who said it was still in warehouse awaiting dispatch. When I explained I had been told more than once it was about to be dispatched he said it had been busy fine but then I explained I had sent emails but no reply he said oh I have seen one from you but that was all
he said. Then he put me on hold came back and said when the guy was packing it he said it had damage so we're waiting to see if their supplier had another so a replacement could be sent as they had none left.The club ordered as I pointed out was discontinued in 2022 and doubted this could be reordered. He said they were still, available but I asked him if he had a similar option I could have instead. He replied I am going to give you (no offer of an alternative) a refund which is fine but it took 6 days to get to this point?
After speaking to this guy I ordered a club from another supplier at around 4.40 and it arrived postage free 12.45 next day.
Why the dishonesty I don't know but I know for sure first and last time I will use this company !

I ordered the club and it was delivered the next day well wrapped very efficient will use again.

I made my order on 25th December and had to wait till the 2nd January to be told it was out of stock. (I called them!). Why advertise something for sale if you do not have the stock? As I write, I am still awaiting a refund. I understand it was the holiday period but I ordered a number of items with other firms and it all arrived on time with clear communication throughout the whole process. I have had zero communication from CG Discount Golf, other than to say my order was originally placed.

Amazing experience! You read the reviews and you do become very sceptical!! However that could not be further from the truth! I dealt with the guys over on eBay and the service was simply amazing! I ordered a second hand Callaway Paradym, they got it to me within the next day free of charge but not only that, they also upgraded it to a brand new Paradym for free of charge as a Christmas present! If that isn’t perfect service then I don’t know what is! I had to double check that this was correct and the guys broke the news of the upgraded gift! Fantastic service! Buy with confidence! Message them first and get it sorted! Thanks once again!

Awful service. This company initially sent the incorrect product. They agreed return and to send me the correct product. Which never arrived. Then they send a note to my PayPal they will return the payment.
The item was purchased online, an import Christmas present. I now won't be able to get the present I needed in time for Christmas. What a total disappointment this company is 😔

I had an excellent golf travel bag for five years using it on some 12 occasions to fly abroad. Other than some minor scratches the bag did its job and I lent it to a friend to use. I needed a bag for my next trip. I ordered one through Amazon and third party CG Golf Discount. The images posted by CG Golf Discount depicted a Ben Sayers bag that had two wheels and two leg stands, a loop on both zippers so a padlock could be attached and stated it was padded. My new order arrived and I left it boxed for storage. The day before travelling I took the bag out. It was a Ben Sayers bag but had no leg stands, no loops for attaching a padlock and was not padded. It was a different bag to the one described and depicted in photographs on the site. There was no time to address this as I was flying the next day. I had to tape the zipper to secure it. On arrival after its first use and due to the lack of leg stands there was a slight tear to the underside of the bag. This meant I had to tape up the bag for the return flight. I contacted Amazon and they contacted CG Golf Discount. I pointed out the failings and breaches under the Trade Descriptions Act. CG Golf Discount response was ‘as you have used the bag it cannot be returned. You need to claim against the carrier’. They completely ignored the breaches of Law.

Placed an order for a range finder and requested 24 hour service as was leaving the country. They phoned and said the product would be delivered on time. Product was never delivered, no refund and now it's off to the bank to cancel the credit card transaction. Avoid doing business with this company.

Placed a order last night for a golf cap and got phone call off these this afternoon saying the item has been discontinued why sell items on there website and show as in stock bad way to do business then at 1pm this afternoon they said they would issue me a refund 4 hours later still nothing it’s no way to do business stay clear of these people don’t purchase from them

GREAT Customer Service!
I emailed CG Discount Golf about a 2024 Taylormade Mini Driver as
1. I couldn't beleive they still had one in stock and
2. UK Trust pilot reviews were poor and was unsure of the company.

I had an immediate response from Mike who informed me that yes they were in stock and next day delivery could be arranged. He also explained that poor reviews had had a negative effect on the company which after my experience is massively unfair.

I paid through Paypal for extra confidence, had an immediate confirmation email and follow up email from Mike to say the driver was processed and on the 24hr delivery truck. Packaged arrived in under 24hrs to my business address in perfect condition.

Can't fault the customer experience.
5/5 for me.

Disreputable company. Ordered 1 dozen golf balls through Amazon who, thankfully, are helping resolve this through their resolution centre.. 2 weeks after placing an order I still haven't received my order. Multiple communications between us. Sent documentary evidence on 2 separate occasions from a screenshot from their chosen courier, Evri, that clearly states Evri haven't received the delivery from the supplier. They asked if I had received a delivery card from the courier and I explained that I hadn't. Also they asked me to check with my neighbours to see if the order had been delivered with them which I did and advised them I had done to which of course my neighbours hadn't received the delivery. They just keep referring me to check the courier's website which I have done multiple times having already explained that via a screenshot from Evri website that the courier hadn't received their package. Clearly they want me to resolve the matter directly with the courier but I tried to explain that this was their responsibility not mine. Shoddy outfit, poor customer service, steer clear in my opinion.

I bought pair of golf gloves, and the post office lost them. They never moved from the receiving depot. I made the seller aware. Some two wees later without referall to myself, they reported to ebay that I had rung and told them that the gloves had arrived safely. Mo such call was made. Of course I complained to the seller on ebay...no reply ever. They appeared to try to thieve the money. Never touch this company.

Bought a used hybrid for delivery in 3 working days. No communication of despatch, company not responsive by email or phone. Still not got my order and no response. Grim service.

Just received the Callaway balls I ordered. I have used this company 5 times and they have been great. Negative reviews here surprise me

Ordered 12 Pro V1 and 4 doz Taylormade TP5 balls
arrived following day of order.
No issues. Top class service. Will use again.
