If I could give 0 stars I would. This has been the most unprofessional, unstable, unreliable company I have EVER had the disadvantage of working with.
I ordered a barn with them in February, For the first 3 weeks I was going back and forth between reps because The rep couldnt even get the correct measurements with the barn, so then the builders would email back and state that they cannot move forward without correct measurements, so when I called the rep back to fix it the rep couldnt figure out what the problem was, they told me it would be a 4-6 week process but after I put the deposit down they told me it would be another 8 weeks for permitting. I decided to pull my own permits to which they made it seem like this wouldn't work. They told me I would have the barn delivered by early April, Well it's in the middle of may and still no barn.
After I called for the 200th time and complained, they said it would be delivered tomorrow, Well I get a phone call today and lo and behold, they cancelled due to problems with their crew. So now they are saying it wont be delivered until after the holidays and yet they still cant give me a correct date, And so much more little pathetic detail in between, I would rather walk over hot coal then ever have to deal with this unprofessional company again. Please DO NOT use this company, it is not worth the stress.

Ordered two car ports for Allen's factory outlet on 2-14-24 one 20x20 a roof and one 45x18 with enclosed sides 3 guys came on 4-24-24 and put the two car ports up did a great job very professional people made sure each one was level before they started install both look great.

Ordered through Viking steel and I guess it was subcontracted to Carolina carports. The reviews had me nervous, but we had an absolute flawless process. Installed 4-6 weeks after I sent pics of my completed site. No issues at all, they picked up their trash, loose screws, the building is solid and no issues with garage doors.

I don’t have a single complaint. Everything went great, and building looks great.

Ordered building in Dec 2022 from Alan's Factory Outlet. I had to finish concrete pad prior to installation. Finished pad in March 2023 and sent pictures to Alan's. Finally received a message from Carolina Carports on June 7. 2023 stating they needed 50% of the remaining money by the next day or they wouldn't schedule the installation. Finally got is scheduled for June 19th, 2023 (which I took off work that day), however it was moved out a day by the installer and they also had part of the wrong color metal. I told him I had to work and he said I wasn't needed on site. Never ever let that happen. They showed up and told my wife it wouldn't fit on the pad (which is not true). They left and told me it would cost an additional $940 storage fee. They told me they would reschedule, however I still haven't heard anything from them and it is almost August. Scheduling has been extremely unhelpful and unable to answer any questions over the phone. One of the worst purchases and customer service experiences ever. I wish I would have known that I would be dealing directly with Carolina Carports. I would not have made the purchase. Will never purchase anything from Alan's ever again.

Ordered through Alans factory direct. Scheduled for May 10th but on May 9th they called at 4pm and said the guys would be there in 20 minutes. I explained that I was 3 hours from there and it was scheduled for the next day. I was told that they would have to reschedule another time they were in the area since I couldn’t be there with the 20 minute notice and a day early. Got my money back and would never purchase any thing with their name on it.

Alan's Factory Outlet Store (seller) and Carolina Carports (manufacturer) didn’t meet delivery commitments and required additional Cash:
• 10/12/2022 Order placed;
• Tuesday 2/07/2023 first delivery commitment was postponed;
• Thursday 2/09/2023 second delivery commitment was postponed;
• Friday 2/10/2023 third delivery commitment wasn’t met. Installers arrived at 4:45 PM (late in the evening, would have been working in the dark) and wanted $800 Cash to hand carry Carport components 100 yards because the Truck and 40 foot Trailer (for 20 foot Carport) couldn’t turn around at install area. Carolina Carports was closed for the day and couldn’t be reached. The Installers left and took Carport with them;
• For months received excuses from Alan's Factory Outlet Store and Carolina Carports without resolution. Carolina Carports was only a one hour drive away; and
• Still waiting for delivery commitment. Last response was would be after May 20.

Carolina Carport personnel are rude and take no responsibility for any of the issues. They believe a customer should:
• Wait over seven months for delivery;
• Be rescheduled four or more times;
• On delivery day, wait until 4:45 PM with no ability to check status of Installers;
• Have a Carport location that allows a Truck and 40 foot Trailer to turn around; and
• Carry $800 Cash to pay for an unexpected up-charge.

I had my $9,800 22 x 31 foot metal shop installed on 12/8/2021 and the ridge cap they supplied is only 11 and 3/4" wide. It should have been 14 to 20 inches wide by normal standards. When it rains hard the wind blows the rain up under the ridge cap and leaks into the shop. I called the company representative on 1/12/23 and asked about a replacement. She told me the 1 year labor warranty expired. During our back and forth emails she asked for a lot of information so I wrote a detailed description of everything I thought she may want to know. I told her, in addition to other information that I had installed lighting and ran electrical power to the shop. She wrote back telling me that by installing the, get this, 7 pound LED light that it had pulled the heavy steel framing down and that caused the leak. I have a 20 year warranty but that is only for rust. There actually is NO warranty for structure or material past the 1 year period. She told me they void the entire warranty because I installed lighting and ran power to the shop. They have a TERMS, CONDITIONS and WARRANTY contract that says "Warranties' shall be immediately void if buyer alters the unit in any manner". I did not ALTER anything. This company has HUNDREDS of negative reviews and complaints on BBB. Do not buy from this company. You will regret it.

Alans Factory Outlet are very nice folks and easy to contact. The problem is that once you place your order and pay your deposit they hand you off to Carolina Carports who in turn hire a contractor for the build. I really liked the on line shed design tool and even though I read bad reviews on Carolina Carports I ordered anyway because a friend had a good experience with them. It took every bit of 3 months before I received a call they they were coming out to build. Unfortunately I was in another state at the time but was assured this would not be a problem. Day one of the the build I received a call from the contractor who wanted to know where I wanted the doors and windows placed. He spoke very poor English so I also texted him images from my contract with Carolina Carports that showed where everything goes. I made it to the build site (after driving 750 miles) about 2 hours after the builder left. The doors and the windows were on the wrong sides of the shed! Getting hold of anyone from Carolina Carports was a nightmare. After many, many calls I finally got a hold of someone who promised to look into it and call back. After a week I began calling again. I was told that they will put me on a list to have the contractor come back out in a few months but in the meantime if I do any improvements (such as running electric) they will not touch the shed. They blamed the mistake on the contractor they hired and acted as though it was all my fault. I withheld full payment until they came to a solution. We ended up settling on $500 off the price or "they would send it to collections". To the contractors credit the building looks great but the door and windows locations are going to be a problem. I settled only because I needed to get my electric run as I had purchased the shed to house my camper when I visit family up north. If I had been on site I believe I wouldn't have had any problems with the build but I would never hire this company for anything again. Customer service is horrible! Alans Factory Outlet are fine but they are partnered with a poor company. Read BBB complaints before ordering your shed.

Run people to not deal with this business
Same thing happened to me. I ordered the carport in March, 2020 & it is Nov. 2022 and they still haven't came out to install. You folks are right, everything from covid to weather. This company is a joke. Folks please read all this stuff about CCI, and run. Don't order anything from them. They will not answer phone calls or follow up. No schedule at all after 20 months I canceled my order and went else where. I would advise you to do the same. This company is a joke and should not be allowed to continue selling anything

I had my building installed in August. After the installers left I noticed that one of the roll up doors did not latch properly. I called in immediately and was told someone would be calling me shortly to schedule the repair/adjustment. After several call backs, I still have never received a call from them to fix the issue. It has been 2 1/s months!!! Non-existent Customer Service!!

Carolina Carports lacks communication skills with their customers. I ordered a garage through Alan's Factory Outlet and they were nice and understanding. I've cancelled my order because CC would not communicate with me and when calling, the wait time on the phone was over 20 minutes...that's when I hung up. CC blew smoke when they told me the garage would be done before the end of the month. Never heard from them again. Read many poor reviews of this company...I will not do business with them again.

Worst company.
I've been waiting weeks. 3 canceled appointments to install. No one answers the phone. All mailboxes have been full for 2 months. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

This is a total scam! They will take your money and never deliver anything but headaches. We have had a building on order for over 14 months. Once we poured the foundation to their specs and claimed the building won't fit. They have lied over and over about what is wrong. We have tried to work with them with an avail. They keep passing the buck from sales to manufacturing to engineering. We have offered several solutions, that even their installers say will work and still no building. They have an excuse for every lie the tell and when cornered on them.....they turn into gost.
The worst part is they won't supply a building or give a refund. They stole $7000.00 plus $1800.00 for engineering fees that they never did anything but take.

Please do yourself a favor and never ever contact these people! You will be opening a Pandora's box of hell.

Would give zero stars if possible. NO CALL. NO SHOW. Paid for building in full in advance. ... Lesson learned.

Horrible company to work with. I worked with customer service for two days to customize my metal garage so that it would go directly against my house that I could attach it later was called by scheduling department and went over the order everything was fine with putting it directly against my house, however when they get there the second time to set it up because they didn't show up the first time the guy that was in charge refused to set it up next to my house like it was designed to do saying that he needed at least three feet to put the metal on that side of the building well there's no metal going on that side of the building because it's open to my house and to be attached to my house that already has a wall. So he would only set it up three feet away from the house which then made my site unlevel because it was three feet past where it should be he then refused to set it up because the site is unlevel.
I called the office complaining about it and by him not setting it up the way it was designed to do and all she could say is well he's telling me that it's not level well after 20 minutes of trying to explain to her why it's not level because he refuses to put it where it belongs. will we both gave up trying to get her to understand and she offered me a measly $250 discount to keep it in set it up myself. this is a horrible company no one knows what they're doing horrible customer service I would not even buy a doghouse from them again Also known as

What a horrible experience. Took 6 months to deliver. Installed very fast and it looks like crap. Considering tearing the $30,000 building down and getting a red-iron building put up. You can literally shake this 30x45 building with your hands and it will sway. Zero customer communication for several months, left dozens of messages. Then one day they said they could install it that week, while I was out of town on business. RUN, RUN, RUN from this company.

Took over a year to have a building delivered. They cancelled 3 times and then arrived a day early requiring me to leave work early to pay them. At that point, I was just happy they showed up as I was sure I had been scammed. Would not recommend them due to their scheduling and customer service departments. The workers who installed the garage were very professional, quick, and hard workers. The installers get a 5 star for their service. Maybe the people sitting behind the desk and answering the phones should take a lesson or two from the installers or make themselves useful and get their hands dirty helping the installers. This is only a 2 star because of the installers and we are happy to finally have our garage.

Absolute worst company I have worked with in my 56 years!! No response to calls or emails. They NEVER anchored the building like I paid for. Took forever to get the building. And then they were rude every time I did speak to them. I spent $12000.00 and am not satisfied. Please, please do not do business with them, EVER. Plenty of other vendors out there........

Carport is breaking apart and is only a year old. However, that is not the purpose of this review as good customer service could have resolved this. There is a lack of concern and it is a nightmare finding people who can help. Initial email was to dealer on January 15, 2022 and being told Carolina Carports (Mfg) would respond. (spoiler alert: they never did respond to that request) Another attempt on our part was to reach out to Mfg with photos, receipt of work, and canceled check of purchase on February 16, 2022 by email to two people I was told could help me. No response. Then I was given a new contact to reach via email, so emailed again with no reply. March 4, 2022, I cc'd their company website email in with the original addresses I had been given and included again the photos, work receipt, and canceled check. To which a sales person responded and said he would make sure this request was sent on. He claimed it was scheduled for an install the end of March. I followed up on March 12, 2022 I followed up with a comment that there had been no assistance in the matter. No one showed up by end of March, no phone calls, no emails, just silence. In the meantime, I have attempted to call company phone number and am always placed on long holds with phone getting disconnected. People answering the phones always blame it on the company problems and people not working on why we can't get anywhere with the company. On April 19, 2022 I reached out again with updated photos of carport continuing to deteriorate. On April 20, I received an email back requesting the date this transpired so she could review with her manager. She also said she would be in touch to which I responded again with all details I could to assist. On April 22, I emailed asking if there is any progress on issue, spring winds were starting to really work the structure. On April 23, sent photos of our attempt to put temporary straps on but to hold it until they could come. On April 25, I sent photos of some L brackets that were on some of the sides but not on the exposed side hoping to assist them with why the problem occurred and what the update on their response was. No response to any of these emails. On April 29, I told them if they did not resolve by May 3, 2022 we would report no customer service, false advertising of warranty support, and broken company unable to care for its customers. I mentioned that they no doubt are short staffed and are dealing with many issues in the supply chain world, however; we have given them months and have had to work hard to even get an email from them. There finally has to be a response. On May 3, 2022, finally found someone who could talk. They said they would talk to manager about a solution and get back by end of day. It is May 12, 2022 and multiple emails and phone calls later, with no response. Please do NOT buy from them! I have found a local welder to come and fix it. He asked what brand, I told him. Oh, he said I have done 3 of those already they just fall apart. I just want to warn the public.

I signed a contract for a 24' x 30' garage in May of 2020. The contract was revised to add an awning to the right side of the building in October of 2020. Permitting, surveys and contractors not working through Covid pushed the construction of a level site back almost a year from the date I signed the updated contract in October of 2020. Just days before the year to get a level site, my contractor finished his work and we submitted pictures to my salesman on 10/20/2021. He submitted them to Carolina Carport's delivery Dept. and we believed our responsibility to fulfill our contractual obligations had been met. Living in Ohio, we learned that the delivery and installation would not be made until spring. Last week I got a phone call the delivery was being scheduled but the price had increased by 73% from the contract we had signed in October of 2020. It is now clear the contract obligations we were bound to were the only part of the contract that was binding as the delay of the fabrication and delivery price since submitting the leveled site photographs six months ago have increased dramatically. The explanation we were given is that a year had passed since the original contract was in force and therefore the pricing was not honored. If this was their policy then once a year had passed from May of 2020, my salesman should have made us aware the pricing had changed before we began construction of a $23,000.00 foundation in October of 2022 for the building. It appears Carolina Carports is more than willing to take a 15% nonrefundable deposit on a contracted building but not bother to inform you the price is going to almost double by the time the building is delivered.
