Incredibly disappointed with CC. I went with them because they were significantly less expensive than competitors, but I'd not use them again. Terrible communication all across the board. Even the local dealers can't get any information from HQ. Our building was installed with a leaky roof which took a month to have repaired and damaged some of our items. Mistakes happen, to be sure, but Heather Smith (general manager?) was adamant that the damage we incurred from the leak was coming from underneath the metal railings on the floor. Even after my providing video evidence of the roof leaking, she rejected any sort of responsibility and refused to reimburse us for damages. Just terrible service all around. Wish I would've gone with another company.

Been like this since November 9th 2021. Order was put in Mid October 2021. This is a lying, thieving, scamming company. Once your order is placed they will not answer your phone calls, text messages, or emails. When they do finally answer text or emails it’s the same copy and paste answer. If you do get someone on the phone they are rude to you bc you want answers and they will hang up on you. You lose your deposit bc you have to leave to go to another company to get your shop/garage built. Almost 7 months and still no building or answers. I highly recommend not using this company at all. I really do highly recommend Rockstar Buildings. I called her yesterday and my shop is scheduled to be installed on April 1st 2022. Rockstar Buildings is very responsive and makes sure you are satisfied. AGAIN DO NOT USE CAROLINA CARPORTS THEY ARE HORRIBLE

Buyer's beware do not buy a building from this company they do not stand behind there warranties!! They state because you put electricity in a 21,000.00 building the warranty is voided what a bunch of BS. We are suppose to let a 30x40 building sit there and look pretty and not sure it. Plus we have leaking windows for a year that were not repaired prior to electricity being installed! Plus siding that is buckeling prior to electricity being installed! This company is one of the worst companies to do business with . You save to buy garage bust your butt but it turns into a nightmare which this absolutely was . Highly recommend you rethink your decision doing business with Carolina Car Ports !

Been four months and I still don’t have my carport. They won’t answer Tex, email, calls. How can a company like this do business?

Terrible to work with. The local dealer was great, but she was not even able to get anyone from Carolina Carports to respond.

Our carport was months late being installed, it only got installed after I started calling their phone every day. The only way I could find to get someone on the phone was to use the North Carolina ext.

When the installers arrived, the price they had was higher than what we had been told. I called the number on the installers bill and got ahold of Heather who was very rude and would not even discuss the charges, she just said "If you do not intend to pay this bill in full today I need to hang up and call the installers to tell them to stop working."

Three months after they installed the carport, a storm lifted it off the ground and moved it, bending it. I had to threaten to contact the AG and BBB to even get a response from them. Their response was that since my building was not certified it had no warranty. This was never told to me before the sale, the only mention of certified or not was that the dealer told me I didn't need a certified building in my county, so there was no need to pay extra for it.

They have cheaper buildings for a reason, you get what you pay for.

Do not purchase anything from Carolina Carports! They will not tell you they are 8 months to a year from filling current orders. They will not give you your deposit back! I signed a contract in April 2021 and just had my building installed end of Jan 2022. When I signed the contract they said 3-4 months, what a lie! They do not have any management or supervisors you can contact. The 3 girls in the scheduling department Heather, Amanda, and Jasmine, all have terrible attitudes and even worse customer service skills. I had contacted through email and phone conversations Giovanni Gonzalez to have the exact measurements to fit the garage on a slab of concrete with a step down to prevent water getting in and when the materials arrived it did not fit the measurements they gave me even when they guaranteed the installers would make it fit. After talking with the sub contracted installers they said they were leaving the company because of how many unhappy costumers Carolina Carports had. I will never be financially compensated for my loses or dissatisfaction but I can prevent someone else from making a grave mistake. DO NOT PURCHASE AYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They lie to customers and deliver crap products and service. My garage has leaked since it was installed and I’m on the second repair. On the first repair the crew cause more damage! It’s very hard to get ahold of them and they make excuses stating they are understaff with no efforts to get staffed. When they finally scheduled a repair they no call no show on the regular. The install crew is useless and knows nothing about metal buildings. Expect a two hour wait on the phone and about one year for an install and 4 months to have anybody show up for a repair which you will more than likely need. Zero accountability! Stay far away!

This place sucks! We bought a shed back in July 2020. Just got it in October 2021. They left and said they would be back the next day to finish and now over a month later no one will return our calls and we still do not have a complete building.

If I could give a zero I would dont waste your time with these people. They are incompetent, unprofessional, and treat their customers like dirt. Nothing they say can be taken as even partial truth. They dont want your business.

Hands down the worst company I've ever done business with. They answered a single call made to them two days after my garage was built and I told them that it leaked when it rained (Pours in) at all of the windows and walk doors, I also told them that the installers caulked the window screens to the frame so they cannot get removed. They asked me for pictures so I sent them and the lady told me I would be placed on the schedule for repair. I have since called Approximately 50 separate times as well as sent emails and occasionally would get an operator who would listen to me and then transfer me to a line that the voicemail was full and then it would hang up. As in a previous complaint I was also routinely transferred to "Renee" who either doesn't exist or who is grossly negligent/incompetent in answering calls or caring about voice-mail. (Or customers)

I have also went to a local dealer for Carolina Carports who would not help me because I did not buy from them as I bought on line from Viking Steel (who will not help) but they did tell me Carolina Carports cannot keep employees as they are quitting because of being yelled at by customers as promises are made but the company is not keeping there commitments and obligations to the customers. She told me they typically take 6 months or more to make repairs because they want to use the same installers so they don't have to pay anyone else to make the repairs. I even told them they could send me the seals and screens to make the repairs myself and was told doing this would or could affect my one year warranty. The warranty will be out before they get finished at the rate they move.

Finally after nobody responding I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint letting them know my issue and they got involved, Carolina Carports response to them was in less than a day however that they typically make repairs in twelve + weeks and give 2-3 day advance notice to the customer that they have someone in the area. When you pay what I did for a garage and cannot use it and then get told we will fix it but you need to wait three + months that is ridiculous and surely a poor way to do business. I would never do anyone this way. I rejected their response and I am currently waiting to hear back from them.

I would not recommend this company (Carolina Carports) at all and it is ashame as I actually have a nice garage, I also would not recommend Viking Steel as they don't want anything to do with you after the order is placed

Never again with Carolina Carports!

Hands down the worst company I've ever done business with. They never returned or answered a single call made to them over more than 6 months. (Approximately 50 separate attempts.) They have someone who answers but she immediately transfers you to lines that no one answers. If you are able to leave a message, it is never returned. I was routinely transferred to "Renee" who either doesn't exist or who is grossly negligent/incompetent in answering calls or caring about voice-mail. (Or customers)

Finally one day a bunch of illegal aliens showed up with all the materials. Thank goodness I was home because they didn't want to do the job and were about to cancel it. From what I could tell they felt they would be working too close to my house and the property fence for it to be an easy install without being paid extra cash on the side. I already had concrete poured, permits pulled, and inspections completed.

They ended up doing it, I didn't pay them anything extra and told them I'd work it out with CCI. Of course they left metal and screws all over my yard for me to pick up.

I'm just glad my nightmare with this company is over.

Never again with Carolina Carports!

Price was quite comparable to others.
Quality also.
When they showed up, installation was great.
Customer service at corporate is non-existent, abysmal, sucks, the worst.
We have no cell or internet at our cabin and I told them so, MANY times. They scheduled delivery on October 25. Drove 100+ miles to the delivery site, spent 2 days in the boondocks and they no showed. Drove home to a voice mail saying driver was sick. Without our confirmation THEY rescheduled for Octobr 28th, drove down again, 2 days again, no show again. Drove back to another voice mail saying weather was bad (it wasn’t) and rescheduled us for November 1st all via robo-voice. Got a hold of the Missouri location and they said if the truck can’t get to the site they would charge us delivery fee anyway. They delivered the exact same size unit to our cabin neighbors directly across the road twice before. After 2 months and 10 phone calls to corporate robo-voice that after 5 minutes of “your call is very important to us” transfers you to a voice mail that “is full” so you can’t leave a message. 5 emails unanswered. 3 Web page messages, unanswered. Salesman can’t help because he’s “just a broker” with the same contact problems you have (unless it’s a sale).
Go somewhere else if you expect any customer service, once they have the sale they could care less. If a no show, wrong unit, wrong color, poor or unfinished install happens, they don’t care, they have the sale, anything after that is your problem.

Be careful from this scam company, Very rude and bad customer service, They asked me for extra money for labor when they in the middle of the job or they gonna take it down and take it back and this is what happened, don’t deal with them, And they have very bad work.Wasted my months waiting for them and I was disappointed with the attitude and work.

I signed a contract with Carolina Carports Inc. to erect a 30"x40" building with insulated interior. I paid $5880.00 extra for the building to be insulated. When completed, there were gaps in the insulation along the entire length where the side walls met the roof. When CCI was contacted, including multiple pictures showing daylight through the openings, I was told this is standard building procedure. There is over 20 square feet of interior wall area that is not insulated. Pictures are available.

Your organization is exactly what is wrong with this country. Your service is abysmal. A complete lack of attention to detail. What is the point of having one person answer the phone if she is just going to transfer us to a dead phone line. Your incompetence is astounding. As a business owner myself i would recommend to everyone i meet to not use your service. Just know that your revenue numbers are not indicative of the level of service your clients receive. There has got to be a swath of unsatisfied clients across the nation. Yep you're making that money and pissing everyone off along the way.

Overall it was a great experience. I would have given 5 stars but the installation happened one day later than scheduled. The installer explained they had truck problems and that is why they didn't make it out until a day later. Oh well...stuff happens. The whole transaction was smoothe from beginning to end. Thanks Carolina Carports!

Its been a very long and horrible ordeal. Carolina Carports has made my families lives miserable. They have devastated us financially and emotionally. Unless you are prepared to enter into litigation with them, you will have no recourse. They care nothing about their customers. Everyone at Carolina Carports Inc has treated us with contempt and malice; from the bottom to the top. We've been ignored and spoken down to on a regular basis. They refuse to make good on any of their promises that they've advertised and spoken. It's been over a year now since we've given them our money, and we have been left with a useless and dangerous building, and the nightmare of trying to get them to make good on anything just drags on. Stay away from them and do business elsewhere or else you'll forever regret ever picking up the phone and calling them.

Ordered building from Millennium Builders 4/14/21 with 8-12 week delivery. Deposited $2,412.47. July Carolina Carports said they would arrive July 13th and 14th. On 14th contractor arrived and said the pad not square and couldn’t put building up. CCI contractor said to cut the concrete and marked pad corners. Our contractor cut it per CCI directions. Called CCI back said concrete was corrected per their direction. On the 8/23 CCI called and asked if we had the pad fixed by pouring a 1” strip of concrete on both ends of the pad, replied their contractor said to cut it. CCI became belligerent, said CCI didn’t have to do garage since we didn’t fix it the way she wanted it. We did what their contractor said to do. We emailed Millennium Builders and they said they were sorry, and would cancel the order. 8/29/21 emailed Millennium Builders for our deposit refund. We got e-mail stating would not refund since crew had shown up and concrete not poured correctly.

Sought a quote from this company and the only response received was they received the request. There was no communication as to No Quote, questions or provision of quote.

The customer service is terrible!!! They Scheduled my delivery for the 30th of may and they were a no show.
When I called to find out why they said some one would call me when ever they were out this way. No sorry let me check on that. Just we will call when we have someone going that way. Its been a month and a half since the original date and nothing?
