Canvas Holidays are not what they were !
On arrival at the large La Chapelle site we were left to find out own way to our mobile home. It wasn't til the second day that the Canvas rep called by & we pointed out there were no instructions for operating the gas oven,which we could only get to turn off by leaving the door open! The rep agreed this was strange & couldn't turn it off any other way herself. Unfortunately no further help was offered & it remained like this for the rest of our stay. Similarly unsafe was the fact there was no metal hood or plate to protect the wooden cabinet over the gas hob.
The 2 single mattresses had both seen better days & the springs made sleep uncomfortable.
We will not be staying at this campsite again.

The site is a lot more touristy than other sites we have used with Canvas. The mobile home is of a lower quality than others we have had from Canvas even though it is marketed as premium plus. This site has a great deal less space than other sites we have been on with Canvas.

We have always enjoyed our Canvas Holidays.
We're all looking forward to our trip to the Netherlands in October. We have been going with Canvas Holidays since 1990. As we are getting less mobile and older not as often as we did. However, our grown up children are now taking their children.
Apart from one site, we have always been pleased with the accommodation and sites. It's easy to book and the staff are always very helpful.
