I initially came across Botanics when googling private clinics to prescribe oour 13 year daughter Roaccutane. The NHS waiting list in our area is closed and only if you have suspect skin cancer will they see you. Our daughter was struggling to the point her confidence was so low she would barely go out of the house. The reviews of Botanics were brilliant so we decided to give it a go.

Our experience beginning to end was absolutely amazing. Everything was so well organised, efficient and the staff were lovely. We live in Manchester so did the blood tests by post and everything we needed for this was included. We had monthly check ups and everything was fully explained in detail throughout. Our daughters skin started to improve after the first month and by the end of the 6 months she has completely clear skin. You cant put a price on the confidence it has given her. She had very little side effects from the medication and any that she did have were worth every bit of it.

I cannot praise the staff and company highly enough. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants excellent skin care treatment and a cure for the curse that is acne !

We are thrilled with the results and hope that this review helps someone else to make the decision, the price of treatment is expensive but completely worth it and you won't regret it.

I haven't seen many reviews by men my age (21), I presume its due to men's skin care being fairly taboo, so I felt inclined to share my experience to hopefully help out with that.

So I'm currently 21 years old and struggled with acne since I was about 16 only within the last 3 years had it become so severe to the point that doing basic things like going to the shop led me to sitting in the car outside for 30 minutes trying to muster the courage to go in, even days where just turning round and leaving. Missing family events, hiding from cameras, looking in the mirror every morning anxious to see the new friends that had appeared on my face. My self confidence was at an all time low.
I had been going through the NHS for around 4 years constantly being fed the lie of duac and topical treatments, using them religiously only for the acne to come back stronger. I eventually got another referral a year later with another 7 months wait, I ended up searching online for a faster solution, I was initially a bit apprehensive about going private with Botonics but I genuinely think its one of the best things I've ever done!

I remember emailing them for the FREE consultation at around 10pm for them to email me back an hour later asking if I wanted to book an appointment with a dermatologist the following day! I was stunned to say the least. Everything was extremely streamlined and at no point did I feel pressured or uncomfortable, anytime I had a question and called or emailed the response has always been fast, kind and understanding. The price I believe to be very fair, by all means continue with the NHS but you wont receive anywhere near the same amount of care and support from my personal experience.

My experience with Roaccutane:
I'm currently 2 months in and my current dose is 50mg a day, I experienced very little of the initial purge and my skin has never looked better even to the point of getting compliments from family and friends. The symptoms can be a bit rough some day's but that's the medication doing its job! I've only really noticed the dry lips and dry skin and a bit of lower back pain when sitting down all day but I can honestly say if your thinking about it, DO IT! it'll be the best thing you ever do!

My experience on Isotretinoin with Botonics has been straight forward and simple from the get go.
Booking the initial consultation, I knew exactly what I wanted going in and Botonics discussed everything to the point in the said consultation. They explained all the ins and outs of what to expect going forward, especially because the whole process was carried out virtually and via post etc.

Wow where do I start I honestly can’t recommend botonics enough.
I have suffered from acne on and off for 7/8years and when I say I have tried everything I really have. Spent so much money trying lots of skin care. Yes it would make slightly better but not gone I always had the under lying cysts that were so painful, never mind unbareable to look at. Made me so self conscious I just felt everyone was staring at my acne.
I had enough and found botonics online as I didn’t want to go through the nhs as that would mean waiting longer alot longer. I already had been on treatment from the doctors from my GP and I kept asking to be referred. So I booked a consultation with botonics and within a few days I spoke to the doctor on the phone she was so helpful and understanding and decided on my course of treatment. She was their every single step.
Within a couple days I received my kit to do my blood tests to make sure your healthy enough for treatment. Even down to the kit everything was explained in such easy detail as I can struggle to understand the steps and obviously didn’t want to get it wrong. It was so simple to do and once they came back clear I received my treatment after a week. I was set to start. I was excited and nervous especially for side effects but I was willing to go through whatever it takes to clear my acne.
I started the end of November and finished my course end of may.
And honestly my side effects were easy. Dry red eye lids and some dry skin. But honestly if you keep on-top of moisturising from day 1 (listen to the doctor) it’s an easy process.

I have been suffering from acne since my early teens, and decided to seek private medical treatment for the condition at the age of 30. My overall experience with botonics was wonderful. I was under their care for my acne and did a 6 month course of roaccutane, which was followed up by their recommendation of a topical cream.

Due to covid, when I tried to apply for a dermatology appointment on the NHS, I was told the waiting list was approximately 3.5 years, and thus I decided to go and search for private treatment. Since I am currently at university, I researched whether I could have acne treatment through an online process and that is when I discovered botonics.

After a quick phone call, I was quickly put in tough with one of their clinic's doctors and recommended to start a course of roaccutane. This was a very fast process, and from my first phone call to my first dose, it was only two weeks.

The course included two blood tests, regular check-ups with the doctor, medical advice for any side-effects, and information about what dosage I should be taking. Moreover, my prescription was mailed to my door, which was very convenient for a student.

My acne journey started quite young and I struggled since than (now 30y) I tried medication, then laser, spend thousand pounds in skin care of even skin consultations that would benefit but never really worked until Botonics and Dr. Divya came to my life. It’s been life changing for myself this experience!
Dr. Divya is the best hands down I can't recommend her enough and during the treatment all the months she guide me thorough. My skin improved 100% also my hair stop being so greasy with than helped grown better because i didn't wash so often, the only down side was my lips were extremely dry.
When taking the medication I noticed the common side effects of dry skin, cracked lips, dry nose in the first month. The dry skin can be managed with a good moisturiser, the lips and nose with Vaseline. During that first month the side effects seemed more pronounced, my skin was dry and my scalp was itchy and there were outbreaks every few days. But after 6 weeks it started to subside and my skin was looking much clearer than before. Dr. Divya at Botonics explained all this to me and suggested various products I could use to manage these side effects. Once a bought the products with them too which was very helpful.
Now my skin is amazing much better it really helped with my self-confidence and how my make up sits amazing than before if you tried all types of treatment this one is for you.

After surviving my teenage years relatively unscathed, I developed adult-onset acne around 18 years old. Over the course of 10 years, I received the usual treatment; long term combined contraceptive pill ‘Yasmin’, topical and oral antibiotics, and then a course of isotretinoin on the NHS which was sadly unsuccessful. Two years later, I wanted a second course of isotretinoin, but getting a referral from the NHS was difficult and lengthy. Then I found Botonics online after a great deal of research. The consultation with Botonics was quick, direct and very easy, not to mention free with no obligation to commit. Then, the time between the initial consultation and receiving my tablets via postal delivery was days and the course of treatment was simple and efficient - communication with Botonics throughout course was clear, concise and friendly. Regarding side effects, I knew exactly what to expect as this was my second course of treatment, so I was fully prepared (lots of lanolin for my lips, plus eye drops and a very good hand cream). I've had acne on my back, chest, face and arms since I was 13. I'm now 28 and finally clear of acne thanks to Isotretinoin and Botonics.

Prior to starting this 6 month course I tried topical creams, antibiotics, antifungal creams and antifungal tablets without success.

I was never offered isotretinoin by my GP and had to ask for it. This resulted in me being put on a 1 year waiting list to see a consultant.

I found Botonics online. Spent plenty of time researching them and decided to book an appointment. This initial appointment gave me the confidence to proceed with the treatment.

I have been suffering with on and off acne for 10 years, mostly just a few pimples, however, around 8 months ago, I developed severe cystic acne due to stress leading to hormonal imbalance. My GP wouldn't listen to my concerns and prescribed me topical treatment and antibiotics which only made my acne worse, prolonging treatment time, resulting in my skin to flare up so bad where the cysts became so inflamed and deep. I’ve been on isotretinoin treatment multiple times in the past. I’ve gone through the NHS system and whilst I eventually got my treatment, it was an incredibly long and arduous journey to eventually get my treatment. Because of this it left me with multiple scars that are still present.
I wanted a service that was fast and could get me on the treatment fast without having to go through the NHS service again. I found Botonics online and was looking something that would get me my treatment fast. I had an initial consultation with one of the doctors after booking through the team (super slick booking system) that was so helpful and so lovely and assessed what type of treatment I needed, for how long and for what dose too. The dose that was given to me is the dose I was looking to getting so it worked perfectly as this dose worked for me in the past. A blood test was sent out fast to me within the week and was sent the following day (super easy to obtain and send blood off). Within the next week, my bloods were approved and all my doses for isotretinoin were sent off to me! Now I’ve completed my course it’s safe to say it was worth every penny.
The consultation was organised very quickly after first enquiring and the doctor was very friendly and gave me all the information thoroughly and answered all my questions. The process was very quick, I think my pills and blood tests arrived very quickly and they were amazing at organising everything and gave very clear instructions for everything. I would receive an email with available check up appointment times each month and all I had to do was reserve one. The checkups were always on time and usually very quick as I didn’t suffer from too many side effects, but whenever I had a question for the doctor she was very helpful and gave suggestions for what I could do to relieve certain side effects. After 15 years of suffering with acne I finally decided to go on to Roaccutane and im I glad I did. I have suffered with acne for so long and have always been hesitant to start Roaccutane medication but believe me it has been the best decision i have ever made.
Once I started the medication I didnt get any of the side effects that i was so fearful apart the dry lips and dry skin which a good moisturise helped me out withThe staff at botonics are amazing and I got started on my medication within days. Dr Ayah was amazing and very understanding and really listened to me.
I had actually been to mydoctor about my acne and I got told by them that it is a 6 to 8 month waiting list to be referred to a dermatologist which made feel really disappointed and sad as my acne was making my confidence so low to tge point where i didnt even like leaving my home. So instead I searched online I decided to go private and its the best thing i have ever done. It is worth every penny. I have finished my treatment and overjoyed with my skin.
I am so glad that I found botonics as the staff have always been there to answer to any of my concerns and have always responded quickly they are brilliant as is Dr Ayah who helped me through my journey to clear skin. They give the best service.
My money has been well spent and I couldn't be happier.
