After suffering from acne for many years and never being able to get on top of it with antibiotics or otc products I asked my gp about accutane. When I was told the waiting list to see a dermatologist on the nhs was a year plus I felt really deflated, so I decided to go private. I honestly couldn’t be happier with my decision, within 2 weeks I had started isotretinoin and was on the road to clear skin. Side effects mostly consisted of dry lips and dry skin around my chin area. All of this was easily managed with a gentle cleansing routine and lots and lots of aquaphor lip repair. I had phone consultations with Dr Divya through out my treatment which I found really reassuring, she was able to answer any questions I had and was really supportive. We changed the dosage of my treatment through out depending on my progress. The whole process has been really efficient and I couldn’t recommend botonics more. My skin is the best it has been in years and I’m looking forward to maintaining it with them.

My overall experience with Botanics has been fantastic, and my dermatologist has been extremely thorough and professional throughout my isotretinoin treatment. I looked to Botanics to help me find a solution for my on going acne   which I had suffered from since my 20's, and I am now in my mid twenties. I went through the NHS previously and was prescribed many topical and antibiotics, all of which worked to a certain extent , until my cystic acne came back full force, the kind of acne that leaves permenant scarring , the scarring in itself was really starting to affect my self confidence , making it hard for me to go about my daily life effectively. I initially inquired about isotretinoin through my GP, however the waiting time on the NHS was six to eight months, I felt that waiting this long would only result in more scarring that would leave permanent damage on my skin. I was prescribes sixth months of isotretinoin , with check ups every other month with Dr Divya which were always on time and to check progress.

I have just completed my six moths of treatment and the turnaround of my skin is amazing. I did not have an initial purge , the only side effects I experienced was some dryness going I to month three , which was easily dealt with , with aquaphor. My skin is now completely clear and I have not had a breakout in months. I went to botonics after years of struggling with my skin and trying absolutely everything. My skin has never been awful like cystic acne but it there was always congestion that would never go away no matter what. Because it was never cystic I didn’t think of roaccutane but after finally giving up I decided to look into it, only to find such a long waitlist with the NHS and inconvenient and expensive dermatologists elsewhere. My skin is so clear now that I’ve stopped and I almost forget how bad it was before, I wish I had started it sooner.

I suffered with mild to moderate acne from the age of 22, it really messed with my confidence, I was tired of trying to conceal my active spots, and scars left from previous ones. When I hit 30, I decided enough was enough, the NHS wouldn’t help, so I had to take matters into my own hands. When I found Botonics, I was super excited I wanted to get started right away, and much to my surprise, that is exactly what happened, within 2-3 weeks I had started my treatment.

The team at Botonics were great, everything was explained to me beforehand and any questions or concerns were clarified. I had a very minor purge, but all in all a pretty smooth ride with little to no side effects, my lips did dry out from the first three days right until the end of my treatment as well as dry patches on my arms, but nothing a bit of extra moisturiser couldn’t sort out. I reached out to the team a couple of times during my treatment and received a response within a few hours, which was great as I was reassured that I had support along the way.

Everything was very organised, from the blood test to the monthly check-ups, I was given options for days and times, all I had to do was pick a time that suited me.

I’m very happy with my results and feel hopeful that my skin will stay this way. I just wish I had discovered this sooner!

I discovered Botonics after an extremely unproductive 7 and a half minutes in Harley Street that cost me nearly £400. I found myself with nothing show besides a list of equally expensive follow up appointments before I could begin my treatment for my skin. I was looking for a service that I could understand the full costs upfront, and could be more flexible around appointments and testing. Botonics responded to me almost immediately and I had virtual appointment with a doctor in no time at all! Everything was so simple and straightforward – with all the information I could possible want available either straight away from the doctor or provided in only a few hours over email.
Bill and team are extremely helpful and responsive. They are super flexible with appointments – offering many evening options which is really helpful when you work long hours. The thing that I’ve really loved about Botonics is that it can work as an all-inclusive service – including fulfilling the prescriptions, the various tests, the doc check ups etc. This really helps with the budgeting and organisation of the whole treatment.
I won’t lie, the treatment itself can be quite challenging. The side effects can be quite uncomfortable. Fear not! It is so worth it, and Botonics give you loads of advice to help minimise and manage these. I promise..once you get through the first few weeks you’ll start to see the difference. I am now just over half way through my treatment. My skin has completely transformed and its almost completely clear..I’m now only getting the odd blemish. I feel really supported by the team even though it is all virtual.
The whole process with Botonics is so organised and quick – I really couldn’t recommend them more. My only regret was that I didn’t find Botonics and try Roaccutane sooner!

From enquiry to being on the medication took less than two weeks! Although it may seem pricey at first sight, the team make it affordable by allowing you to pay the fee in instalments. I decided to go for it after being told that the waiting time through the NHS just to see a dermatologist is almost a year.

I did experience a purge in the first months of taking Accutane however you must trust the process as it got so much better by month 4 and by the end of my course not having a single pimple. but I did get very dry skin, lips and nose bleeds which is very common for this type of medication. My skin became noticeably better by the start of month 4 which boosted my confidence a lot.

Also Dr Divya recommended me some great products to help with the effects of the dryness, which helped a lot. The whole team at Botonics are great and couldn’t do enough to help me throughout the process, even down to replying quickly to emails with my queries.
In addition, you could also proceed with the treatment longer than the 6 month course if you and Dr Divya believe the medication could work even more, but they only consider this if it is safe for that patient.

For anyone having trouble with their confidence due to their skin then this is definitely the right place to come! I put it off so many times and wish I’d started sooner, but I’ve now completed a 7 month course and could not be more satisfied with my results!

From the moment I contact Botonics I have been so impressed. It took a week for me to be seen by a DR, and commence my medication. The staff at Botonics even arranged for a script to be sent, on a Saturday, to a central London location for me to then collect. After going through the process of Roaccutane, my skin has improved drastically, and I'm so grateful.

I've suffered from acne for several years, starting with the occasional breakouts but then resulting in painful cysts.

I tried many remedies for my acne over the years, from drug store cleansers and moisturisers to pricey facial products. Sometimes the products would work but only momentarily, ruining my skin with unnecessary chemicals.

I was recommended about Roaccutane by a friend, and when searching on the internet, Botonics was the first to pop up. I read the positive reviews online and knew that this could change my skin for the better.

I had to take a blood test to check if I was eligible to have the medication, which I was, so I was recommended two pills before a meal a day to start.

I received the medication in the post, which was convenient and then began to take the pills over six months.

The side effects included dry skin but was manageable through drinking water and moisturising regularly. Apart from that, there were no major side effects from the Roaccutane pills.

After months and months passed, my skin got increasingly better. The pigmentation in my skin started to come back to normal. There were no more spots on my face. And, my skin was glowing, giving me confidence that has helped me in daily life.

Dr Divya and her team were helpful with the entire process, such as frequent phone calls about how I was doing under the medication or the customer service inside the clinic.

I am sincerely grateful to Dr Divya and the team at Botonics who made my roaccutane / isotretinoin treatment journey so smooth and efficient.

I’ve suffered with very oily and consequently, acne-prone skin for over 20 years. When I was younger, I was always told that my skin would eventually clear up on its own - it never did. To make matters worse, I also developed very sensitive skin and rosacea, dermatitis and inflamed scalp skin. It took me hours to sort out my scalp just to leave the house! The NHS GPs always just prescribed shampoos and topical steroid products and I was on antibiotics for over 20 years. Do not waste your time and damage your body with useless medications like lymecycline, just ask for isotretinoin. That being said, whenever I mentioned this I was always told that I didn’t meet the criteria for seeing a NHS dermatologist.

Thank god for Botonics as they were a lifeline for me. I started treatment and had relatively few side effects (only dry lips and hands, with dry eyes now and then). Lubricants helped of course.

The process with Botonics is very simple. Everything is done for you and you receive very detailed instructions about what’s expected of you. Dr Divya is brilliant and non-judgemental. I’ve seen other doctors about my skin and they always just seemed to brush off my concerns. You get all of your medication sent to you once you’re assessed for treatment and then just take the tablets as instructed. So it’s very simple and efficient. No need for constant trips into central London for consultations. The whole process is very well organised and the admin team always send you reminders about things coming up.

As mentioned, I had very few side effects. Lots of stories out there try to scare people off the medication but I find it’s always just someone not wanting you to have a better skin! My skin is completely clear now thanks to the treatment. My main advice is not to be afraid to try the medication and especially through Botonics as it’s so clear and simple with them. Some of the literature always tries to highlight “an increased risk of suicide” amongst those on the medication but for me this again is scaremongering. People with acne irrespective of the degree of acne know very well of the mental challenges of living with bad skin. Roaccutane actually helps our mental health!

I’m so glad that I’ve completed my course of roaccutane. I have used premium skincare products for over 20 years, spending at least £300 a month on skincare so the investment in this treatment has also saved me money long term. View this medication as an investment in yourself and the treatment with Botonics was definitely value for money compared to other places out there. My entire teenage years were plagued by cystic acne. I very unhappy with the severe acne and wasted several years with the GP trying different antibiotics, creams and washes which did not help at all. During covid my acne got progressively worse and was hindered by being unable to see a doctor. As a male with Acne, My self confidence was at an all time low. Unfortunately I live in a rural part of Wales with limited resources to support me. A friend had been prescribed roaccutane by the NHS and was delighted with the results, However with covid restrictions and NHS being so busy, there was now a 2 year wait for a referral in my area.
I began to Google private providers and discovered Botonics !!
I thought I would give them a try owing to the large number of positive reviews. I reached out to Botonics after having already completed 6 months of Accutane treatment. I had finished the medication for just 2 weeks and had already experienced a painful breakout; the dermatologist I was seeing at the time told me that it was normal and that he would not extent my prescription. I was absolutely gutted at his response because I could see the incredible differences that the treatment had made so far but felt I just needed that little bit more to clear my skin completely. I have always used the NHS for my medical treatments so was a little nervous to go private. I researched a lo before choosing Botonics and I'm really glad I did. I had a 6 month course of accutane and I have gone from severe cystic acne (and all the physical and mental pain that comes with that) to virtually no spots, and just a bit of scarring. I had some side effects which are to be expected with accutane, but the doctor gave me good advice to deal with these. My side effects were mainly dry and sensitive skin, but nothing that couldn’t be solved with a good moisturiser and hydration.

I never write reviews but I want to share my story because accutane worked for me, I’m still smiling whilst I write this review as it worked better then i could have ever expected. It changed my life.
I suffered from adult acne for many years but the last 2-3 years before i started the treatment were the worst beside leaving for work I wouldn’t go out anywhere feeling insecure and having no confidence or self esteem in myself or my appearance. I had heard about Accutane but was hesitant to try it because of all the negativity around it and I feared the side effects. After months of researching reviews and testimonies I finally decided to try it. I found Botonics and I’m so glad I did because they were brilliant every step of the way I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to get rid of acne. I was very lucky as I experienced very little side effects while taking it. My acne did get worse before it got better, was not concerned as Botonics did explain exceptionally well what to expect whilst on the drug.

I had suffered from acne for most of my 20s. It was bad enough to get a 6-month course of Roaccutane on the NHS, but unfortunately, the acne came back.

When I decided to get a private prescription I shopped around a bit and Botonics gave the best overall price and were very responsive. I also was impressed by the fact that they take you up to a higher dose than the NHS.

They made it very easy and convenient for me, including shipping out all the medication and pregnancy tests I needed. Dr Divya had frequent phone check-ins with me and gave me advice on what products to use on my skin.

I personally found the side-effects fine to manage - even with the dryness my skin is so much more comfortable without the acne. I've now finished my course and Dr Divya has recommended treatment to maintain the results.

At the beginning of 2021 I started developing severe acne on my jawline and cheeks. After looking for several solutions that would mean months of waitlists and not guarantee of good undertaking I decided that botonics looked like the best solution. Within my first month my skin had already drastically improved. The monthly appointments with Dr. divya made me feel really confident and happy that I made the right decision. She adjusted the dosage monthly perfectly so never experienced the extreme side effects that you often see online. By the end of the treatment all my acne is gone as well as the scars. I’m very happy with the results and process. The only downside was having to spend more money for further vitamins and aftercare when you are already spending so much on the treatment. So be prepared to account for another few hundred pounds if you need additional treatments or skin care to help with the side effects such as vitamins for hair loss etc. However, considering how difficult it is to get this treatment any other way in the UK but to go private, I definitely think it is worth it.

You will get personalised treatment and regular monthly catch ups with Dr. Divya. The 2 free blood tests were done in a very nice clinic in central london. The nurses there are so nice and lovely! You should be in and out in minutes every time so really convenient to go before work. You also get a pack of free pregnancy tests to do once a month. Unfortunately I doubt that I would have been so well looked after with the NHS. I know people who have and their skin has not cleared like mine as they havent had the best care and personalised treatment. I really believe that Botonics is the best way forward for complete and successful treatment. Looking forward to keeping my skin clear and smooth from now on.

My roaccutane treatment with botonics was an easy and smooth journey.
Being in an industry where my face and skin are looked at a lot, I didn’t want to wait on NHS waitlists to get my acne treated. Dr Divya listened to my concerns in my initial consultation and took into account issues I had when on a previous course of treatment through the NHS. She then created a plan that suited my needs and checked along the way that I was happy with everything which put me at ease.
The team made communications regarding my course of treatment simple and replied to emails very speedily. Any time that I had a question or issue, the team were a call or email away and were able to give me advice based on my needs. I suffered some mild side effects from the tablets and was advised in ways to help relieve the general dry skin and lips and mild joint pain - all of which are totally normal during the treatment.
The overall journey from initial consultation to taking my first dose of the tablets was only 5 days including having the blood test and getting the results, then distributing the tablets. I had to have 2 blood tests during the treatment which were arranged through a clinic recommended by botonics where I was treated with care and was very easy to arrange.
Once I started the treatment for the first month or two I had a big breakout which is completely normal to have and is a sign that the treatment is working. From after the second month on the tablets I started seeing results and every week that went by, my skin cleared more and more.

I developed persistent cystic acne in my late teens which latest well into my early 20s - greatly affecting my self-esteem and confidence. I have gone on multiple medication treatments (including doxycycline and clindamycin), topical treatments (Differin, benzoyl peroxide), cut out many products from my diet - all to no avail.
