My journey so far has actually been life changing, which sounds quite dramatic, but when you stop going out and end up hiding away from the world due to your continuous painful cystic acne and now I can leave the house make up free!

I am currently just over half way through my treatment and the results are just incredible.

I used to have such huge and painful spots all around my mouth area, which used to make me feel so self conscious and I never used to leave the house unless it was for work or the school runs. I had zero social life and cancelled all my plans.

I needed to do something, as I couldn't carry on living this way. I initially went to my GP, I had been there numerous times before, where they had tried various lotions, potions and pills but nothing helped and sadly, I felt I wasn't being listened to. They finally referred me to our local NHS dermatology department and I was told it would take 6 months to see somebody. This broke my heart! I searched the internet trying to find the help I needed and that's when I found Botonics. They have been nothing short of amazing the whole time and I am so thankful that I found them. I sent an enquiry and very quickly heard back to book a free consultation, which filled me with hope and I was so excited to start my treatment. After completing a home blood test and pregnancy test, I very quickly received my medication.

I initially experienced a bit of purging but that soon settled and as I said, I am only half way through my treatment but I am currently over the moon with the results!

I look forward to seeing my end results in March, but I am so happy already with the current progress!

Before starting isotretinoin I mostly heard amazing things, yes the side effects can be a bit harsh, but overall it is all more than worth it. I really can’t put into words the difference this has made to not only my skin but to my life! My skin has caused me such anxiety, it’s been painful and really got me down to the point I wouldn’t want to go out. I am very happy I chose to go with Botonics, the service has been excellent. They are all very professional, very responsive and helpful, and also very nice and personable! From start to finish it’s been really really good and I would highly recommend trying isotreninoin with Botonics. I was in regular contact and they checked in on me. My Doctor, Dr Gordon, was so so helpful and kind and made me feel very comfortable.

So a bit about my experience - I have had cystic acne for a very long time and tried practically everything out there. I was a little apprehensive about the side effects as I had heard they could be a bit harsh. The main side effects I experienced were:
- very dry lips, nose and eyes (I would recommend nipple cream for lips and nose… this was the best thing for me, nothing else seemed to work. And eye drops, I also used colloidal silver spray)
- dry skin on my face especially in the first few months but this settled down a lot
- dry hair & a little hair loss
- occasionally achey and generally quite tired

The dreaded purge… I’m not going to lie this was pretty bad but in a weird way it was nice to know it was working. It definitely happened but again, worth it.

I used to have so many cysts at once and now I haven’t had even one cyst in so long. Just before my period I have had maybe one tiny spot but honestly that is sooo fine by me and actually a spot here and there is normal.

My skin is pretty much always spot free and it feels like a completely different skin. I used to get SO oily and be forever powdering my face, and now I don’t even need to powder because it’s never oily!! A bit strange but I really feel like it’s made a difference to my appearance in that my nose looks smaller too as the pores are so much smaller than before.

I would highly recommend this treatment if you have struggled with acne and nothing else has helped. I really wish I had done it sooner. It’s made a HUGE difference to my life and my self esteem.

I have suffered with acne since I was 13 years old and have tried everything available over the counter and through the GP. I have already been on roaccutane before and it was a lengthy process. It took several months to be referred through the NHS and then took another few weeks after seeing the dermatologist to start treatment.
With Botonics it was a simple process. I called them up and received a consultation within the same week. It was on the phone which was very convenient since I work 9-6 and I live far from London. I started isotretinoin within 2 weeks of this consultation. You need to do regular blood tests and pregnancy testd while on this drug. The blood test could be done at home, again which was convenient. Instructions were provided as to how to do the blood test. If u are in close proximity u many also get it done with them
Regular progress calls were done over the phone. I sent pictures of my acne hence progress could be monitored by the dermatologist.
I was able to contact them very easily if I had any queries or concerns about side effects.
I did have another purge but it only lasted month. I also experienced very dry skin and dry lips. the dermatologist was very useful and suggested to use nipple cream for the lips and it worked amazingly. I had tried many different lip balms inc vaseline, burts bees, aquaphor and they didnt help at all. I was also comcerned about hair loss since i suffered tremendously durint my last course. She suggestrd for me to contact her if this occurs and they would recommend appropriate treatment.
I finally feel confident in my skin and wish I started treatment sooner. I can go outside without makeup everyday which saves me so much time. Treatment was affordable in my opinion therefore if you are struggling with acne I would definately recommend botonics.

I ‘m 52 years old and have suffered acne breakouts my whole life.
I first tried Roaccutane in my late 20’s but didn’t really reap the benefits because I was in my twenties living life working in media in the West End along with Dj’ing so as you can imagine I had many late nights!
Although my acne cleared for around 3 months at that time it still lingered on for a further 15 years until (early 40’s) I tried it again when a bit older and wiser. The course lasted only about 2 months and although my skin cleared for about 4 months this time the acne still lingered.

I moved house 2 years ago and went to see my new GP explaining my medical history and how over 25 years tried every antibiotic and ointment known to man.
I’ve lived abroad for 14 years so have experienced Dr’s from all over the world and all treatments became familiar to me.

During my consultation with my GP I requested a course of Roaccutane, unauthorised to prescribe she assured me she would write to the local NHS dermatologist based at the local hospital for referral .
I asked how long does it take for reply and was told 2 or 3 weeks but the appointment would probably take 4 or 5 months!
I was so distressed at this point that I rang the dermatology clinic myself to ask a rough time scale for appointment and was told it could even be 7 months.

Thats when I went online and found Botonics
I made contact online and had my telephone consultation within 3 or 4 days.
My blood test at the lab took place 2 or 3 days later with the result coning back the next day!
Following successful blood test my treatment was confirmed and I received my medicine 3 or 4 days after that! And this was the medicine for the ENTIRE course so the whole process of first contact to administration of medicine took under 2 WEEKS

I started the 6 month course of Roaccutane last April and to be honest within the first 2 weeks my breakouts stopped and have not been back since.
Throughout the course one of the team have been in touch every month with second blood test taking place midway through and the lovely Dr Divya checking in on me about every 6 weeks.
The support has been first class, If you have any queries you always get a quick response via phone or email.
Overall the service has been outstanding and absolutely worth every penny of the approximately £2,500 it has cost me.

I have taken Roaccutane twice before, once on the NHS in my teens and once privately. I know that it works wonders so was looking for a private service to receive the treatment again after having a flareup in lockdown. I came across Botanics online and I spoke with Bill on the phone and he explained the process to me. It almost sounded too good to be true so I was initially sceptical. I checked out the company details on companies house to confirm that it was all above board and then proceeded with my treatment.

The service and care has been absolutely First Class and so convenient and easy. I received all of my medication straight away in the post and started taking it within a matter of days after my initial consultation. I underwent all of the appropriate safety and monitoring blood tests to ensure everything was ok. I had my follow up consultations via telephone with the lovely consultant dermatologist and received lots of information and support from the team as and when it was required.

My side affects were minimal, dry skin, eyes and lips but all were very manageable with the creams and eye drops that Botanics recommend and I would much prefer dry skin to skin full of redness and breakouts. My skin now looks fantastic, my stress levels have disapproved and my confidence is restored.

I cannot recommend Botanics enough, the service and support was excellent - True 5*. There is no need to live with the misery and stress of acne when you can receive a simple and straightforward life changing treatment. I approached Botanics plastic surgery group for Roaccutane treatment to treat my stubborn acne, when I approached I done a free consultation to speak to a specialist to see if the treatment would be best for my acne. As I don’t live in London I done this on the phone which meant I didn’t have to travel and could do the appointment from the comfort of my own home.

The website is easy to navigate and I made an inquiry for the treatment I wanted. The clinic then reached out to me for a free consultation and the process was very quick and easy from there. After the necessary paper work and payments I received my first postal blood test and all my medication very quickly.

The doctors are really friendly and only suggest treatments which are going to benefit you and will achieve your end goal. They talked me through my options and gave me advise on the main treatment and if any other treatments which will benefit me. Also the appointments are online so they will work around you!

I got all the medication for my full treatment, this was reassuring as I knew I wouldn’t need to get prescriptions every month. They wanted to start my treatment as quick as possible to get my results as quick as possible.

I selected to have postal blood test kits which are easy to administer and have pre-paid postal which mades it even easier to do at home and send in time for testing. They came with instructions which were easy to follow at home.

My skin did have a purge in the 1st month of treatment as suspected. However it was managable with the products botanics suggested to keep my skin and scalp from getting dry and irritated.

When I email with questions they always reply within 24hrs and give detailed responses with clear instructions (if it applies). This is great patient service and mades me feel in touch with the clinic and my doctor throughout the process.

I would give Botanics plastic surgery group 5* as they have been very professional, kind and reassuring throughout my Roaccutane journey. I will go into detail but to sum up I will say that roaccutane with Botonics has been a lifechanging experience and an incredibly smooth and easy process. I wish I had done it many years ago.

I have had acne since I was a teenager, never 'cystic' but always present, inflamed, blackheads, redness. So unpleasant and I had very low confidence. I had not left my house without makeup in 16 years. I finally took this step with Botonics as I was getting married and running out of time. NHS waiting lists were 18 months in my area.

I saw Botonics advertised online and had a free video call the next day after reading good reviews. The staff were very helpful and gave me pricing information immediately. As I have an IUD, it was even cheaper which was nice. The pricing was good and better than expected. I had a call with Dr Divya within a few days, and my medicine all arrived within 7 days of first contact.

Dr Divya has been very helpful and the administrative team take no more than half a day to respond. I have been able to ask lots of questions throughout and nothing has been any trouble. I have sensitive skin and at one point had to lower my dosage, and again this was dealt with quickly. I have been so happy to have done this over video calls and phone calls, not having to drive back and forth to a dermatologist. So convenient.

I had very minimal side effects. I was scaring myself silly beforehand. I had some joint pain in my knees and back, but mild and usually only in the morning after lying in bed all night. Didn't even need painkillers. Dry lips are part of it but I just used standard lip balms and moisturisers for my skin. As above, I had some bad swelling on my face when my dosage increased, but Dr Divya called me immediately and we tailored my dosage to give my skin more time to adjust. Which it did!

I have now finished my treatment and I am very happy. I would say that I was acne free after 4 months. My skin is completely different. I am now pursuing some follow-on care and that is also very reasonably priced for private healthcare. Thank you to the Botonics team for making this process so easy. If I had known this 10 years ago, I would never have waited so long.

I suffered with cystic acne around the mouth and chin area, even though I didn’t get loads of spots the ones I did get were deep and painful.., not to mention embarrassing and completely got me down. I initially went on roaccutane 6 years ago for 4 months through the NHS and it worked wonders up to about a year ago. I changed back and forward contraception and slowly my cystic acne started to reappear (not sure if that’s what messed with the oil production or not!).
I really didn’t want to wait for over a year to be seen on the NHS and knew nothing else would work. I had already tried all the antibiotics and creams etc in the past and nothing worked but the accutane. So I googled to go private and found botonics. I read all the excellent reviews and can honestly say they are really this good.
I initially spoke to Bill who was really helpful and talked me through the process, the cost and what to expect. I then had my initial consultation with Dr Divya who again was lovely, answered all my questions and concerns and put me at ease. Everything was done via phone and post as I live up in Newcastle. This was so easy to do and everything was dispatched and arrived within a week of my first contact. I took photos of the pregnancy tests and the blood tests were also done at home by me and then sent via post. I went on Roaccutane once before on the NHS and then unfortunately my acne came back. I decided to go for a 2nd round, however the NHS wait list was 6 months. I didn’t want to wait that long as my confidence dropped due to my skin and I really needed something that worked instead of all those drug store creams/serums that didn’t work. Even benzoyl peroxide didn’t seem to work for me after a while. I came across Botonics and decided to contact them.

I had a consultation with them over the phone and they were super friendly and informative about the treatment process, the cost and duration of the treatment.
I started the medication pretty quickly as the whole process was smooth and there was effective communication. They clearly explained the steps e.g. when I will have my check ups, what the doses will be and when they will change. The blood tests were easy to take and convenient as I was able to do them at home. I did have a purge in the 1st and 2nd month and around the 3rd month I had really clear skin! They also suggested on suitable moisturisers/cleansers during my treatment. I have now finished the medication, and I have not had any spots in 3 months.

I feel so confident now that my skin is better and can finally go out without any makeup. I definitely wish I had found Botonics sooner to go on this medication. I checked out other dermatologists when choosing one and I’m so glad I chose Botonics as the service they provided was definitely worth the price.

I have had acne for a couple of years, and the NHS took forever to make an appointment. With NHS it took me 6 months to get a dermatology appointment and then another month for a blood test. However, I missed one of my consultants by 2 mins and called them back and they wouldn’t answer. So, I decided to look elsewhere and found Botonics.

The doctor pleasantly walked me through the process and made everything simple to understand. e.g. side effects, what type of dose I would be on and for how long. The doctor walked me through whether accutane is a good choice for me, how long I’ve been suffering with acne, the possible complications. Just to prepare for anything in advance so nothing comes as a shock

The reason I chose accutane was because I have been on all the cyclins at this point.
They would only work surface level, but the problem would still remain. A solution for this was to try accutane. I have had acne all over my; back, chest, face and scalp. Anywhere you could name it.

The process
The first 3 weeks I had the initial purge and this was awful! I had spots everywhere you could imagine. But I knew that once this is over the road gets a lot easier. And it did! After 1-2 months the spots completely subsided and I didn’t have major breakouts anymore. I may have had one or two spots here and there. Then from months 2-6 was basically spot free occasionally having a spot.

My skin has had a complete transformation from 6 months ago! It's hard to believe it. I had minimal side effects while being on Accutane even at high doses. Side effects included; nose bleeds for the first 2 weeks, dry skin and lips, and slight elbow pain (more than likely due to heavy lifting at the gym).

Hopefully spots do not return as I’ve been spot free for 8 weeks now and I have finished my medication completely. 6 month dose was enough to curb any acne I have had.

Very happy with the process and if worse come to worse I would gladly go back for a second treatment!!!

Thought I would take some time to write a review about my experience with Botonics. I don’t usually leave reviews but I wanted to make sure I recognise the fantastic service that the team at Botonics provided/currently providing me.

In my teen years I never struggled with acne, my face was always clear and was very low maintenance until I got to the age of about 22 ish. Then everything changed, my skin was quite oily and acne prone and this was mainly in my chin area I would get severe break outs and then I would have a few weeks where my skin would clear up and then the same again. I have been in this cycle for a few years now and I have spent thousands of pounds over the last few years on skin care/peels and tried all the creams you can think of from GPs.
I eventually came across Botonics after researching roaccutane online as my acne was having a huge impact on my mental health, to the point where I stopped seeing my friends and became a recluse. I wanted my life back and I was fed up of having to time how long I could stay out with my friends due to how oily my skin used to get causing even more acne etc. it was a horrible rut!

I saw the reviews on Botonics and had to give roaccutane a go as a last resort. I made an inquiry and got a response a few hours later, the next day I had a phone consultation with Dr Divya who was wonderful and discussed how the treatment worked and I received my blood testing kit a few days later. In under a week I was on roaccutane from my initial consultation.
I am currently 8 weeks in and my skin is starting to look clear, to say I’m only early in my journey I’m excited to see how my skin improves over the months and I’m finally starting to get some of my confidence back and have a life again!

For me, it is totally worth all the side effects which for me are pretty minor so far. I use cereve moisturising cream that the team recommended to me and lip balm which has made the dry skin and sight rashes bearable and minor.

The cost is really reasonable too and to be honest it’s all totally worth it for me to get my life back. They have some good options with payments too, I chose to spread my costs over 3 months.

If anyone is at the point where your acne is ruling your life I would highly recommend you booking in with the team! Best thing I ever did. Looking forward to the next few months. Have had such a great experience with Botonics. I have been on roaccutane before, but relapsed into acne, and my job is based on my appearance so I could not wait 6 months or longer for an NHS appointment which is how long it takes. I had a lot of questions about side effects, dosage etc because of my last experience and it not really working, and every question I had was answered knowledgeably and very quickly. When it came to the consultation, I got an appointment within a week and it was totally free! The doctor I spoke with was experienced and straight to the point. The cost was extremely reasonable for the service provided and included all the blood tests and checkups I needed. After payment, the medication was delivered very quickly and efficiently and I had my first tablet within a week. One thing I really liked was compared to the NHS who required pregnancy tests and long waits in a waiting room every single month, botonics had the much more efficient approach of simply requesting proof of an IUD so it saves me so much time and I can do the appointments from my home and I dont have to chase or run around a hospital just to get my medicine. The dose I have been started on seems perfect for me, I am experiencing very few side effects other than dryness of lips and I feel very safe on the medication because of the regular checkups and the fact I can call or email at any time. I’ve suffered with acne for years and have tried everything from drugstore products to antibiotics, and nothing worked. I’d been on Roaccutane a few years ago and it worked amazingly. So when it came back just as bad this time round, I again tried everything but knew Roaccutane would be the only thing to work for me. I tried going through the NHS again, but with it also being during covid, the wait to be seen and to then actually get on the medication was even longer than usual. Due to it effecting my self esteem so much I didn’t want to wait that long. So I started looking into other places that may be able to prescribe it to me. That’s when I came across Botonics.
The clinic is at the other end of the country for me, but everything from the medication to blood tests etc gets delivered to your home, which was a lot more convenient than having to make appointments at the hospital every month. So I inquired about starting Roaccutane and they got back to me in the same day, with available dates for a free phone consultation with the doctor.
Within 2 weeks I was starting my first round of medication. The process was so quick. They also include information about Roaccutane and clear instructions for the pregnancy and at home blood tests. The clinic was very organised.
You get emails with your dosage for the month and instructions on how to take the medication. As well as reminders, on the day of your monthly consultations with the doctor, to email in pictures on your skin for your record and a photo of your pregnancy test.
When I started the treatment my skin purged, as I was informed it would. Then I started to see results about 2 months later. The only side effects I experienced was dry skin and extremely dry lips. Dr Divya was very helpful in recommending what skincare products were best for during treatment, lots of hydrating products and sunscreen!
I’m now left with some pigmentation, which Dr Divya has prescribed me some products for. The clinic still encouraged me to get in touch with them at any time, even after finishing treatment, which I really appreciate. I’m so much more confident now, the transformation of my skin is incredible. I wish I had found Botonics sooner!

Easiest experience ever. The customer communication was incredible the whole way through. The doctor made the treatment unique to your skin and was super friendly and easy to talk to. The blood tests were super easy and convenient because you didn’t have to travel miles there and back to have it done. Also I loved how after your monthly phone call, you received an email with all the key information that had been spoken about on the phone. This was really helpful so you could relay back to it if you had forgotten anything.

The treatment itself was incredible. Also when I first started, I expressed to the doctor that I wanted to increase my dose relatively slowly, just because it made me feel more comfortable. What was amazing was that she completely listened and did whatever she could to make me feel at ease. The treatment has made such a difference to my skin and I’m so grateful for all the help I received.

Lastly, I want to talk about the end of the treatment. Team would look at your monthly pictures which show you how far you have come and recommend skincare or even prescribed treatment it they think you need it. Also if you come to the end of your treatment and still aren’t 100% happy they do offer an extension period which is great. They really do everything they can to make your skin as silky smooth as possible. I can’t recommend them enough.

The easiest and more effective treatment!!! Highly recommend. Very straight forward and organised. The team are very good at communication. Very prompt at sending you reminders and checking that you understand all the instructions. Email reminders of the dosage and how many pills to take were very useful. Sending pictures of pregnancy tests provided was really simple. I only had to go in twice throughout the treatment for a blood test and that was really easy and quick at a lovely clinic. All costs including blood tests are very transparent and honest from the start. They also offer part payment schemes staggered across a period of time so that it is easier to pay it off in more manageable chunks.

I found Botonics at a time when I’d given up with my skin! After struggling with it for years I was getting really down. I knew from past experience how long the NHS route is. I want quick results. And this could not have been a quicker process. After registering my interest I had a phone call with the doctor within days. My medication was delivered to my house a week later!!!

Such an easy process. The virtual consultations are so easy and informative. You are always given a choice or dates and times. The check ups are monthly and it’s a good time to ask any questions you may have regarding side effects and change of dose.

The treatment is fairly priced and the speed at which it was all processed (I received my first prescription less than 10 days after my initial phone consultation) has meant I didn’t need to delay in starting to change my life! Obviously the price covers the medication and the blood tests, but the input from the expert team really is second to none, with excellent customer service making it extremely good value for money.

I first found Botonics in 2019 with concerns about improving the symmetry of my nose following a surgical rhinoplasty and I'm so glad I did! Naruschka was incredibly warm and obviously very knowledgable. She took the time to answer all my questions and explain what she was doing and why.

I decided to go private as I have suffered from acne for a while but the NHS waiting list was just to long and I have tried other products antibiotics but nothing worked. After a google search I came across botonics. The main thing that attracted me to botonics was the fact it could all pretty much be done from home making it easy.
From the initial consultation Dr Divya answered all my questions I had about the treatment. From there I decided to go ahead. I had to do a blood test to see if I was okay to go ahead the results came back fast. From the initial consultation and blood test, I received my first prescription within a week. The pharmacy service was also very convenient as it was just sent to my house.
After starting the medication my doses were gradually increasing month by month after my monthly checks ups with Dr Divya. The medication itself I feel like I handled well. I always heard how the first few months of Accutane can be hard e.g. skin can purge and extremely dry skin. Thankfully, for me I did not experience any side effects. By month 4 my skin was pretty much clear the odd break out here and there, I even feel like it helped with my scarring as well, and my skin has a nice glow to it now.
I am now done with my treatment and I fill so confident in my skin. I stopped wearing make up to cover my spots because there isn’t anything. Even though I have been discharged from botonics they are still there and have given me recommendations on how to maintain the clear skin which is super helpful.
I would recommend anyone with acne and who may feel unconfident in their skin to go under the care of botonics.

I normally don’t leave reviews but after dealing with acne for almost 16 years, I’ve just had to. I’ve had my first breakout when I was the age of 15, from this point it only continued to get worse.

I’ve tried every product available, topical treatments from the NHS (tablets that gave me diarrhea with no results), then I’ve tried the acne.org regiment, with Benzoyl Peroxide with many other expensive products, in combination with St Ives acne scrub.

No solution, just more problems

As years passed, I began to develop hyper pigmentation which lasted for many years, as well as acne scars, my skin started to resemble the surface of the Moon. After thousands of pounds spent on treatment is when I gave up on treating acne.

Then came in my late 20s, my skin condition became worse, it has started to resemble my early days of acne when I was a teenager. Breakouts were more common, which left more scars, that’s when I was researching accutane on YouTube. I knew of Accutane earlier in my 20s but was put off due to the side effects however being in my 30s with acne was not tolerable.

After conducting some research, my initial results were the NHS however given the time it would take to actually receive the tablets, I’ve come across Botonics. First I had to research the company which had a lot of positive reviews (after my experience, I can see why but more on that later).

Regarding the speed of communication, they are super responsive, regular blood tests and check ups to ensure your safety and curious about your progress. The Botonics team will email you to schedule on your next checkup (a reminder so you don’t forget and you don’t have to chase them up)

Now fast forward 6 months and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life (2nd to buying Bitcoin in 2012), my skin is a lot clearer and I haven’t had any breakouts for months. I haven’t seen my skin this clear since I was 15, I wish I had done it a lot earlier, the only issue is I have scars that will need another treatment.

There are some side effects and it’s completely normal; the first week I experienced headaches which resolved after a week, then intense stomach ache which lasted for a day, the 4th week is when I’ve started to experience dry skin and lips. To combat the side effects, you’re going to have to drink a lot of water, aim for a gallon - every day, apply SPF as well.

I wish I can give them more than 5 stars, the price is fair, if you were to use the NHS then good luck getting an appointment and for them to prescribe you the medication. if you can afford less than a month's wage to cut in line and direct lines of communication with the team and the Dr, I highly suggest giving it a go.

I first came across Botonics after an endless struggle with NHS waiting times and referrals to a derm. I had previously had really good results with accutane 10 years ago, but relapsed 3 years ago and haven't been able to cure my acne since. Through countless reviews online i thought i would try the free consultation.
The process was extremely easy. Helpful and organised administrative staff booked my telephone appointment for the following week, and once they had my consent to begin treatment sent blood samples by 1st class to my address a couple of days after. After i got the all clear, i was commenced on accutane a week later. After years of struggling, within two weeks of hearing of Botonics i'd began treatment.
They have payment options where it can either be paid in full up front, or spread across a number of months.
The side effects of accutane include extreme dryness, but Dr. Divya gave excellent advice throughout on how to keep this at bay. I also experienced back pains in the first few months but this subsided.
I would definitely recommend Botonics to friends and family, i feel as though i have my confidence back.
