Great audiometrist
The audiometrist, Rose Jewell, was reassuringly expert, warm and charming. This made the whole experience pleasant. Her explanation of the complexities of the new hearing aids was clear and was hugely important because the manufacturer's printed instructions were too terse and used unnecessary jargon like referring to a charger as Phonak Charger Case Go although 'Case Go' means nothing. They should call the two models 'basic charger' and 'indirect charger with rechargeable battery' and give them different model numbers for identification.

Appointment and fitting
The actual experience of having my hearing tested was good; the audiologist was friendly and supportive, and the advice given was helpful. However several phone calls and emails on my part were not acted on, and almost 2 months have elapsed before a fitting has been arranged. Perhaps this is standard practice, but it would have been helpful to have been told about the delay.

Rose was absolutely amazing and explained everything so well, she explained my hearing loss in a way no one has before, so that I now understand what I hear and don’t hear.
I was quite anxious having not previously had good experiences at other places, but left happy and confident my new hearing aids are going to work for me!
