Good experience on Saturday. Wanted some new walking boots and though not every version was available in my size, Soraya was able to advise other options, one of which was good for me. Would definitely visit again.

Really attentive and helpful sales person- Jess. Did multiple trips for us getting the right size, was knowledgeable about the product and helped personalise the experience. Nothing seemed too much

I called in at North Street Brighton to look for some new walking boots. With so many to chose from I was struggling to find one I liked on display. Annie came to my rescue and brought out about 10 different pairs for me try, some full leather, others a mix of fabric etc for me to try. Success soon followed and 2 pairs of new boots were purchased. Happy customer, great service from Annie.

I was very impressed by the customer service I received yesterday at Blacks. The sales assistant Eloise was very helpful when I was choosing a coat. She looked online to find the size I wanted and then found different colours and ordered one which came today so I was very pleased!

Went in today close to closing time without realising asking for help on shoes for a first time hike to which Jude was very open and helpful giving very honest and amazing advice. He was very patient with me going through all sorts of tips to know and bringing out many different shoes to try, he wasn’t overwhelmed with all my questions either and instead gave specific advice to all questions and was overall amazing, thanks to Jude I will be coming back a lot more to buy more stuff.

Exceptional customer services from Lily Joley and Eloise plus others.Wanted a particular type of gloves took my number and searched through a pile of new deliveries just to help me out.

Soraya was extremely helpful in finding the right walking shoes and boots for my husband at the Brighton store. She was very knowledgeable about the different products and helped us find exactly what he wanted. Soraya was very friendly and chatty, whilst also being efficient and excellent at her job. We are very grateful to her, thank you.

The staff at Blacks in Brighton are amazing! In particular Mike. Mike served me on a few occasions and he was helpful in advising me what I needed for my walk on the Camnio. Please tell Mike what a great service he provides. I have been to other hiking shops but quite disappointed with the service and didn’t want to spend money there. Popped into Blacks Brighton on the 4th Jan 2025 to treat myself to a new pair of walking boots. Excellent service from Soraya, who was very helpful pleasant and knowledgeable about the different options, which is refreshing as so often in stores these days staff often have no clue or interest in the stock they are selling. Due to their sale and extra discount for National Trust membership the Scarva boots I ended up buying were virtually half price .

Excellent service from staff who actually knew what they were talking about. And were helpful every step of the way.

Mike at the Brighton store is just brilliant.
He has advised me on boots and jackets before and helped direct me to more suitable options for my needs. This time was no different. He was like my humble personal shopper with a lot of outdoors experience and enthusiasm. He appears to enjoy his job and listening to his multitasking when helping another customer too; I think he has the same standard of care for others too. Top marks, Mike! I know where to come for my future clothes and equipment needs.

Eloise was really helpful and informative. I got some new walking boots which fit really well and very light. Great service.
