The worst customer service I've ever had, hands down

I went to this store because it is conveniently located, but I would rather drive to the moon than return here. I have never been spoken to in such a discourteous, sexist, outright rude manner. I'm still reeling from the experience. Not only was the service disgraceful, the store was a mess! Save yourself the trouble and go straight to Harvey Norman!

False advertising

Item was listed as in stock, 5 day delivery. Ordered, and confirmation email said 5 day delivery. 5 days later, it hasn't even been sent.

Customer support say they are waiting for their supplier - i.e., it's not actually in stock. And the item page still shows it as in stock while customer support are telling me it isn't!

Waiting a few weeks instead of 5 days for shipping isn't a major drama, but that's blatant false advertising.

Unless something is really cheap and you don't mind a big wait, shop elsewhere.

If you can please contact our customer care team via email at customercare@binglee.com.au with your order number and a brief rundown of what you are seeking, they can look into this and find out what is happening with your order. If the item is showing as in stock on our website, it is likely in stock at another store location and in the process of being transferred into our central warehouse to be sent to you. It would show up as on back order on your order information the sales team can see.

Appalling service

Appalling service. I incorrectly ordered the wrong part for my air purifier and they won’t accept me returning them for a refund even though I purchased the correct items separately.
I am out of pocket $157.
Don’t order anything online.

We are sorry to be hearing of this experience. If the item is completely sealed up and untouched, we can check with management if they will accept the return as a goodwill gesture. Ordinarily we do not accept returns where there is change of mind or incorrect choices involved as per our returns policy which is available at the following link: https://www.binglee.com.au/articles/help/returns-policy

If however, the item has been opened, we are unable to accept this for return under any circumstances as the item is unable to be sold again due to being opened.

Pathetic Customer Serice

The most pathetic, awful customer service EVER! Bought a Hisense smart TV from these thieves at Bing Lee Balgowlah in January 2022. The TV has now completely crapped itself. I informed the store and they informed me that they would have to book a service with a Hisense technician. Are you serious, you sold me a piece of junk and I have to wait for someone to call me, if I’m lucky to book in a time to tell me my TV has crapped itself. Anyway, I waited for a call which didn’t, come, rang the store and asked if they could do anything as it’s been days since I actually had a functioning TV. ‘Martin’ said there is nothing they can do even when. Kept questioning home on alternatives and he literally when silent. Couldn’t answer any questions and the best he came up with was ‘we are not an insurer, what do you want me to do?’ Joke. When pressed further after I suggested it was unacceptable that I was reduced to looking at a blank wall, Martin said he would pay ‘out of my own money’ for a replacement Tv while I waited for the service. When I asked what size he said 32 inch. I paid for a 55 inch and asked why I couldn’t get a like for like. Again, no answer expect that’s the best he could do because he was ‘not allowed.’ Absolute hoax. I still don’t know if Hisense will call or if I’ll ever get this resolved. Lesson here is never buy anything from Bing Lee especially Balgowlah and never by a Hisense TV. Worst customer service ever. Disgraceful.

If you provide service or products to…

If you provide service or products to consumers, there are minimum standards to be met.
1. You provide what the customer paid for and it does what it is meant to do.
2. You deliver it to the client when you said you would do. No Excuses! Especially when you charged the client for the delivery.
3. For some items like Refrigerators and Freezers, these basic principles are even more crucial!
My Experience
I found a fridge/freezer online yesterday as ours is not working. I contacted our local Mona Vale Bing Lee to order it. I paid Full price for it and $80 for delivery today. I explicitly told them that our Driveway is steep and from the top of the driveway to the front door there are 30 steps.
This morning the text said the fridge will be delivered between 9:00 -12:00. Then a man comes to the door at 10:26 and says not a chance. We can't deliver your driveway is too steep! I tell him I disclosed that to Tim when I was booking the delivery and he says on our instructions it says: 15 steps and easy access.
I called Bing Lee Mona Vale 6 times with no answer before I finally spoke to Tim and he told me if the drivers say they cannot deliver there is nothing he can do. He will try and reach another delivery company. An hour later, he left a message to say he cannot get anyone to deliver and will keep trying and get back to me. Or Refund my money. It is now 16:20 and we are waiting.
The contents of the freezer have melted in the bathtub! I pointed out to him that we are a big family and there is a lot of food that will go to waste. Clearly this is of No Concern to them.
Given the Flood damage I imagine people will be replacing a lot of their household goods but for fridges, I would give Bing Lee, a Hard Pass.

I ordered a dehumidifier last Monday

I ordered a dehumidifier last Monday. It’s now the following Tuesday evening, still no delivery.
When you pay for an item upfront ,plus the delivery fee
Getting this ordinary, pathetic, non Existent service ,
Buyers be aware ..,,,

First time purchase with ( Bing Late ).Once bitten .twice shy…….
It’s now the 22nd of March still haven’t received my order .

Worst customer service ever!

I placed an order online. The platform accidentally used my old address following a systems update - though to be fair I did not pick up on this until after I had confirmed the order.

I immediately contacted Bing Lee to change the delivery address. I was advised that this is not possible because I paid via PayPal, however I was given the option to cancel my order, which I immediately accepted (in writing).

Around 24 hours later I was informed via email that my order had been 'processed'. Another day later I was informed that it had now been 'dispatched'.

When I contacted Bing Lee they advised that a refund would be processed once the order had been recalled, which I was told should take 3-7 business days. When I queried why I had been offered a cancellation option in the first place I was told that 'this isn't guaranteed as per the T&Cs' and 'once an order is placed it is automatically processed and cannot be stopped'. FYI that I can't find that particular info, and have asked for a link to those T&Cs 4 times to no avail.

It has now been over 2 weeks since I requested a refund. Bing Lee send me a token 'copy-and-paste' message every couple of days, repeating generic info about 'a few more days, T&Cs, thanks for your patience blah blah blah' yet refusing to answer any of my questions directly.

Aside from the fact that the responses were often riddled with spelling, grammar and syntax errors (not even a basic spell check was done), it is the absolute lack of substance and refusal to address my points that frustrates me the most. Combined with inflexibility of process, receiving incorrect/conflicting info at various points in time, and the refusal to accept any responsibility on their part - instead blaming 'the system' and Australia Post - mean that I will never look at purchasing from Bing Lee again. I've dealt The Good Guys, JBHifi, Harvey Norman etc. before, and have never received such unprofessional and uncaring customer service before.

Excellent Service.

Excellent Service.
I recently purchased a coffee machine at your Taree store and was very impressed with the service I received. The member of staff, Kirrily Mancell, was extremely helpful and informative. She took the time to address my questions and concerns and at no stage did I feel pressured. Obviously Kirrily was there to do her job but I had the distinct impression that customer satisfaction was equally important to her. Although I ended up spending more than originally planned, I procured the product that best suited me. Thank you Bing Lee.

Appalling Customer Care!

Appalling online customer care! I ordered a Galaxy Tablet when I received it I realized that I needed a Tablet with a bigger screen so I contacted Customer Care to investigate returning it (the box is unopened) and ordering a more suitable Tablet. I spoke to a customer care representive and explained the situation and was met with a complete indifference, it seemed an effort for her to speak to me at all, "We won't take returns for change of mind". I was explaining that I was about to order a much more expensive model and she interuped me to say again "We won't take....." No care no concern, no suggestions. I won't be shopping where they show such disregard for their customers.

In saying that, the agent you spoke to could have spoken to a manager or obtained a little more information from you before dictating the terms in such an unfriendly manner. I was surprised to read so many bad…

I was surprised to read so many bad reviews.
During lockdown just before Christmas I purchased 2 white good items, separate purchases roughly 3 weeks apart and can say I was very pleased with the whole experience including the friendly yet professional delivery guys and the products themselves esp as I have never shopped on line before for 2 such major purchases.
Thanks Bing Lee I.will definitely keep you too of my list for future items required.

Brought a new TV online

Brought a new TV online, said it would be delivered, it was not. new delivery date you are right, non delivery again, Then no word from them, I swear they don't talk to each other, they have a door that says management
the door opens on to a skip bin.
I meanwhile brought a TV from HN, then they want to deliver it, sorry if I don't believe you.

A zero star rating is more appropriate

We spent $9000 on kitchen appliances through the online processing.
After taking our money and giving us a confirmation delivery date we were only advised that they had no stock a day before delivery when we rang for a confirmation time slot.
We purchased the goods 1 month prior to the delivery date and received no other notifications from them prior to the delivery date.
After contacting the useless customer service manager who guaranteed he would solve this issue , we received a return call 2 days later advising that the items we ordered were not available.
Although he had sourced 1 of the items and the others would be distributed as they arrived.
We decided on the full refund , as this coward customer manager was dealing way above his pay grade.
They like to promote themselves as a family business, when in fact their service is just big business.
Do yourselves a favour and use appliances online or the good guys.
Don't waste your time with this unorganised crowd of individuals.

Logitech Mouse & Headset.

Bought a Logitech Mouse and a Logitech keyboard on 12th October.
It was meant to be delivered in 2 weeks,
31st October contacted then again and the lady said it was delayed and I would be getting it on last week of November.
today is 24th, I spoke to then again and they said, They can't fulfill the order and they will process a refund.
2 months of waiting for nothing.

Terrible!

Terrible!
Bought a 2kg milk tank from Jura brand. I have selected next day delivery for 20 dollars extra, however, it took two weeks for delivery. Customer service actually contacted me, that the reason it took that long was simply because of no stock available. I was like, w!t!f why are you selling it without stock? and why are you charging me 20 dollars for two-week delivery? I will never go to bing lee again. Please choose JBHI or harvey norman for alternatives

Took Payment, Product out of stock, No correspondence

Purchased electronics on BING LEE online store. Listed as in stock, delivery date also listed. Payment was taken from card. NO contact whatsoever from Bing Lee. when I contacted them through live chat I was informed that the product was out of stock and had been placed on back order, availability date unknown. Requested Refund which was agreed to by Bing Lee. No further contact from them. Have since contacted them 3 times and have received inconsistent time windows on when refund might be issued. I was under the impression I would receive the product within a week of purchase, If it had have been listed as out of stock or on back order I would never have purchased at all. Now they still have my money and I am waiting for some sort of satisfaction like like a sucker.

I have referred this case to the ACCC and my credit cards bank.

Do not buy online from this company

My exp buying two time making me dont want to return. I buy philip hair cutter, turn out battery problem. Then i buy sony tv, the tv cannot download app, it smart tv with a processor, lucky I contact sony and the provide me with change tv code. Why always sell me item that broken at the 1st place. Why bing lee practice such a this way. Bing lee, pls sent your customer good condition item. Pls
