We are sorry the we have had a delay in the supply of your washing machine, unfortunately stock that was due from the manufacturer failed to turn up on the expected date, this is not an excuse but the global stock supply system has come under enormous strain this year and we have been completely open and honest with our customers who are placing orders against incoming stock that the quoted dates are unconfirmed and are open to the possibility of slipping, as a result a member of our sales team called the contact number that we were provided on 10/12/20 at 16:41 to update you that this had happened and was only able to leave a voicemail if this hasn't got through to you we can only apologies.
As per the phone conversation with a member of our team today we have now been able to allocate you to a delivery date of the 19th of December.
We fully appreciate your frustration at this delay and look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
Apologies again for the delays you have encountered.

Published my personal data online without my permission. After raising my initial complaint with Beacon Electrical on 16.9.20 It took several days for them to reply advising me to source an independent engineer with suitable qualifications and pay for them to confirm that the appliance was faulty from date of purchase, they will then consider this evidence. They were not able to suggest who to employ to undertake this or what qualifications they required.
I posted a bad review on trust pilot on 19.10.20 and received a phonecall the next day asking me to remove this review. I received a reply from Beacon Electrical addressed by my name- without my knowledge or permission. This was not removed until 24 hours after posting despite me bringing this to their attention immediately. The facts remain, I brought my complaint about my appliance to the attention of Beacon Electrical on 16.9.20, my fridge freezer worked from new purchased from them for a total of 22 months. I have had to take time off work for 5 engineer's visits and the appliance cannot be repaired. I still do not have a working fridge freezer nearly 2 months later and have not had a satisfactory resolution from Hotpoint or Beacon Electrical . I am merely stating facts. Very poor experience. I purchased a brand new appliance that worked for a total of 22 months and no satisfactory resolution has been made. Very disappointing.

Delighted to recommend a competitive local business.
We bought a new washing machine after searching online and speaking to our nearest branch. I collected from their main outlet on the same day as the machine that I wanted was in their warehouse. Each person I dealt with was helpful. The price was also very competitive. I would therefore recommend supporting this local business.

DREADFUL EXPERIENCE NO STAR. I bought a fridge freezer from Totnes store which broke down after only 22 months. Beacon very unhelpful and hiding behind 1 year guaranteed expired. They insisted that I prove that the appliance was faulty. Hotpoint engineer found compressor had failed, new one could not be fitted for another 3 weeks. I had already been without a fridge for a week by then. Beacon said I had to prove the compressor was faulty when I bought the appliance - obviously impossible to do. They could not have cared less, despite the fact that I had bought an integrated fridge freezer for a previous house, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a Panasonic tv, the new fridge freezer and a Roberts Radio. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Mrs Ford, we are sorry that you have felt it necessary to write a negative review and as ever there are always 2 sides to a story so it is important to establish actually what has occurred as your review doesn’t not reflect this.
On 27th of August you called our Totnes branch and reported that your fridge freezer had stopped working, unfortunately this was out of the warranty period by 10 months, however immediately from that phone call you were demanding that the product be fixed without cost. The sales team clearly defined what we could and could not do and advised what the best course of action would be as defining a product as ‘not fit for purpose’ must be backed up with a valid service report, we gave you recommendations on how best to try and resolve this and at the same time most critically repair the fridge freezer and get it working again.
The next contact was the 3rd September when you reported to us in writing that you had utilised the manufacturer‘s 10 year free part warranty system (where by only labour is charged on all repairs even out of the standard comprehensive warranty period) to repair the fridge freezer and that they had visited on the 2nd and had identified a failed component and ordered the parts to repair, at the time of the visit the engineer apparently reported that parts were out of stock and would be placed on back order. Minutes after the letter was received at out Totnes branch you appeared in store loudly demanding an instant replacement, our team tried to explain that this is not sadly an option as your products was out of the warranty period and you were in effect purely waiting on a service repair from the manufacturer and their availability did not meet your expectations, but we tried to explain that in order to support a claim for a product ‘being sold/made and found to be not fit for purpose’ there is a process which we were more than prepared to support you with and escalate in every way possible but it does not affect the immediate critical situation of getting the product repaired and back in working order, we can and do everything possible to assist our customers when products fail, in or out of warranty, but we cannot sadly remove the inconvenience at the time but there is no getting around our legal position and until liability is proven you cannot demand a replacement or refund.
Following your visit in store on the morning of the 3rd we received 2 emails and a 2nd letter and a phone call from a Branch manager and subsequently a Company director all before 3:30pm on the same day were we offered and did request escalation of your repair with the manufacturer and tried to bring the job forward if possible and start the process of, once repaired, an investigation into the part that had failed and if it was deemed as not of merchantable quality to claim all of your costs back, but sadly there was no way to meet your expectations of literally an immediate replacement as we were told by yourself ‘if it is not fixed tomorrow I am taking you to court!’
We are never happy for our customers to feel let down by our service but we have got to be able to react within reasonable expectations and sadly in this case there was no way of meeting this.

Brilliant service
Brilliant service, spoke to the guys at Beacon Electrical, had exactly what I needed in stock at a great price.
Payed via an email link that was safe and secure, and my new cooker was delivered to me the following day.
Absolutely faultless even during the current difficult COVID-19 situation.
