Agree this used to be a fantastic site but is now almost unusable since trust media took over. Very disappointing as the recipes are still very good.

I like the facility of being able to get recipes you like on the BBC Good Food site. However I have in the last few months found the working of a key feature of the app dreadful - and I note that I am not alone in my criticism. When I 'save' recipes to my collections it appears to do so. However the next time I go into the app & try to access these saved recipes they have 'disappeared' so I go through the process of saving them again only to find that again they have failed to permanently save.
This is frustrating and a waste of my time.
What is the point of the app offering this service when the BBC? must know it's not working?

This is such an awful site. I create collections of my favourite recipes and they disappear! I delete recipes and they don’t delete. The app crashes frequently.

This brand was sold off as part of the BBC's cost-cutting a few years ago by a private company called Immediate Media (they also publish the Radio Times).

Since then it has become noticeably worse, with lots of intrusive pop-ups, an app that crashes all the time, and search results that are totally bizarre.

I am only leaving this review because I have spent the past 15 minutes just trying to log in to the site, only to get a 504 Bad gateway error every single time. The whole thing is just very poor and it's a shame that they chose to retain the BBC branding only to ruin the site.

I have spent time attempting to get rid of their intrusive pop ups. It is unlike BBC to allow this site to use its name. It is a real pain. I block it on my mac and it seems to unblock itself.

I wouldn't let my children anywhere near a BBC product. Woke food for the brittle bone generation.

Used to be an excellent recipe resource but now far too many vegan recipes. Vegans have numerous magazines dedicated to them which I doubt have section devoted to meat eaters. Also the magazine has become super-woke with race baiting articles on how wine making isn’t a “safe space” for POCs. Cultural appropriation concerns are clearly seeping in and I think the days when the Hairy Bikers could write about curries for the magazine are behind us.

Before anyone assumes I’m some horrid old racist, the beer writer is a black woman who is excellent as are the majority of the diverse contributors. My issue is with the editorial direction of travel (it is a BBC publication and supposed to reflect the diverse population which is still 87% indigenous) and one particular lady who starts from the premise Britain has nothing of value to offer the world in any culinary sphere save from that which hails from recent immigration.

I love the BBC Good Food website because it’s easy to find recipes that use ingredients you’ve actually heard of and have at home. No trip to the supermarket needed just to make one recipe!

This is one of those sites where you have to read the first line of the text about ten times due to the pop ups and the anchor changes; demented, I would like to use the site but as soon as I get that nonsense, I go somewhere else, but I find it really annoying!

I live in the US and I've been a subscriber to BBC Good Food magazine for well over a decade. In the past I've bought gift subscriptions for family and friends. Never any issue with receiving the magazine.
Starting two years ago numerous editions failed to arrive. The few magazines that did arrive were sent out from various locations across Europe.
I contacted customer service on numerous occasions and the person on the line would extend the subscription time period. This is a useless remedy when the editions still fail to arrive (despite their promise of a fail-safe special envelope service - whatever that is) and I believe this is their standard way of fobbing off customers. An email from a customer service representative promised a remedy and a call to me from the named person - didn't happen. More fool me for taking out my last subscription in the belief I would receive the magazine.
In the last year I have received 3 editions out of 8 due to me. This is either fraud or theft. I can't decide which it is. Not so much Immediate Media as take the money and run!
I would have been prepared to pay a little more to guarantee receipt of the magazine via UK mail/courier. Another good product ruined by total lack of business execution and incompetent customer care.

I bought a digital gift subscription for a friend living abroad. She was not able to access it. I called Immediate Media who administer this (non Britain-based call centre) on four occasions. My friend called three times. On each occasion we were promised action. Nothing happened. My friend exchanged emails for several days, still nothing Finally they said that digital subscriptions could not be accessed by pc, only on apple products! . Immediate Media claim not to have Supervisors, Managers or an accessible Complaints Dept. There was nothing I could do to resolve the issue. After two months I cancelled subscription and requested refund. They are considering that. Appalling customer service. Will never buy this magazine again

Do not reply to letters. They cancel subscription without giving reason.

I love BBC Good Food, everything from the magazine and so much more.
Its my go to archive of recipes that I have loved to see being made on their cooking shows from all Britain's top chefs and tons of internationally renowned gourmets.
I particularly like the ability to look at their how to suggestions for classic cooking skills .
The only drawback is that it makes you feel so hungry, you need to look before a meal or you may be prone to snacking.

Best recipes ever - yum... love the show too! Can't wait!

I have been a fan of BBC Good Food's Website and Magasines for a long time. Today is however special. I needed some help with an old recipe. I did not have high hopes, but a lovely member of the editorial staff went the extra mile to help me with my problem. Thank you very much.

This site has got me out of trouble on many occasions. Especially good for the cake recipes. Easy to follow instructions and pictures. Reviews of each dish by people who have made them and tips on how to make each recipe better.
