No card received but multiple emails telling me to register my card. When I attempt to register my card the app then advises to me to visit a branch to verify my identity - like there are loads of barclays bank branches around these days!

One of the worst bank companies in the world, with the worst customer service, which uses off shore people who don't know you and don't care and are collecting a pay check. The information they give you is slighted towards their own ends, meaning you will never get a proper answer to any question you have. I have been on 5 calls today, and every one of them was tedious, long and they are on their internal social media to learn how to 'handle' you. I have worked in these centres before and this the way you are treated, poorly and without proper responses to any question you ask in regards to a complaint response. They wanted the remedy for a mistake to go to my card, instead of my account.
Who is responsible for this, the CEO, CFO, CIO and the COO who use the system to deny you a fair hearing. They wouldn't even let me speak to a manager.

Interest rates on credit cards far too high

Had the card for 3 years now and its never functioned properly. The app is a mess the direct debit function has never worked and now they have removed the option on their website.

The App is easy to use and the Fraud team were excellent helping with an issue.

Had great experience with Barclays and its offers

Best customer service, great communication and very safe banking. They were really fast in alerting me to suspected fraud transaction and refunded me immediately. Love banking with Barclays

Easy & lots of information

Easy to use and transparent charging.

Fairly easy to go through the application process, & getting cash back on purchases is a bonus.

Trying to close account and the help page directs me to the chat interface. This is a classic 'big company useless customer service chatbot' that is unable to help or escalate to a human so unable to do this via the app/website.

They should probably take a look at how that got through their product team and consider the consequences as experiences like these put me off using Barclays at all.

This is one of those elusive brands, that never deemed me good enough to be able to use thier services; despite having fantastic credit, theyve always eluded me. Finally got my first Barclaycard through Amazon, and i have to say, i am thoroughly unimpressed. Their app is glitchy, and cannot even do the basics such as saving my card details for future payments. The fact that it is 2026, and my new card doesnt even support Apple Pay is absolutely bonkers. I shall continue therefore, to use my Pulse credit card, provided by newday, that has a fantastic app and allows the aforementioned.

Simple application, app works really well. Everything on app for what you would need for online banking. Very straightforward. Happy customer
